Chapter 822
Chapter 822
Gibson lost his composure right away, hurrying to ask,“ Mr. Jackson, d–did I say something wrong?
“Pray tell! I‘ll correct myself! I‘ll definitely correct myself, Mr. Jackson!”
He had just taken this position for a handful of days–not even warmed to the position yet–and he had to return the position? He would be the butt of the joke!
“Scram!” snarled Seth. “Piss off right now, or things are going to get ugly for you!”
Gibson was baffled, falling to his butt with a stagger. The few people who came with him–one of them had the intention to buy him a meal but left with a scowl after seeing what the situation had turned into. The others dared not linger either and left hastily.

Seth approached Nigel with a warm smile, like he was meeting an old friend.
“Mr. Jensen, I‘ve been blind to promote a dodgy man like Gibson and let you down. Please don‘t hold it to your heart.
“I‘ll give you back your original position first thing tomorrow, and I promise all will be taken care of properly.”
Nigel was a little lost. There was no doubt that he could recognize the man before him–Seth Jackson, the Rivspring Chamber of Commerce‘s president.
Someone like this was incredibly influential, and Gibson was actually one of his men! Despite that, Nigel did not dare voice out any disagreement as he hurried to answer politely, “Mr. Jackson, of course.
I understand that it‘s all a misunderstanding...” This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

Seth replied seriously, “It‘s the best that you can understand! It‘s such a pleasure to befriend you!” Nigel was kind of dumbstruck. Everything had taken a turn so fast that it felt like a whiplash.
Seth then shifted his gaze to Sadie and asked, “Ms. Wolfenden? Gorgeous and talented, aren’t you? What an honor to meet you today. You‘re even more brilliant than what I‘ve heard of.”
Sadie was startled. The man seemed to be someone powerful, but he was so courteous to her. The shower of praises simply flustered her.
“Uh, Mr. Jackson? Nice to meet you. I‘m Sadie Wolfenden
“Loosen up, Ms. Wolfenden. Just treat me like your regular elder if you don‘t mind.”
His enthusiasm and friendliness genuinely rattled Sadie.
Kayson , on the other hand, was nonplussed. What was Seth trying to do?
Seth looked at him carefully as he probed. “Mr. Yarde ?” “Hmm?” Kayson frowned.
Seth smiled dryly. “Mr. Yarde, I‘d like to treat you to a meal. What do you say?”
“Me? To a meal? I just ate...!!
Sadie looked at him speechlessly and took the liberty to speak. “Mr. Jackson, we just ate, but if you want to talk to Kayson, we can have tea downstairs after you have your
meal?»
Seth perked up in delight. “We‘re not hungry. Since you and Mr. Yarde just ate, why don‘t I ask Moonly Olympus to prepare some desserts?”
Sadie could only nod at the offer.
Sia had been standing all the way at the back and taking in how cautious Seth, whom Zeke had to receive in reverence, was in front of Kayson. She was dumbfounded. Who, really, was this man her cousin liked?
She quickly set up Superlunar Deck and led the group of guests away.
As for Gibson, he sat on the floor shakily like his family had died. What was certain was that his future was ruined from now on. He looked at Kayson‘s back in a daze,
knowing that all the changes stemmed from the latter, but it was too late for him to regret now.
On the way to Superlunar Deck, Sadie told Kayson, “He‘s probably someone influential! “When others offer to treat you to a meal, you can try being tactful even when you‘re full. Don‘t reject them directly!”
