Freya’s technique was famous in the industry.

Professor Harlan had achieved many legends, and surgical suture technique was just one of them.

Freya’s gaze was serious and clear. Under the sharpness of the surgical forceps, she quickly closed up the wound.

The vice director stood aside as he thought earlier that she was a medical intern coming to learn and wondered why the director didn’t inform him beforehand.

If he had known that the medical intern was actually Harlan, he would have tried to impress more.

After finishing the suture, Freya looked at her brother, who was still under anesthesia, and sighed softly.

“Take care of the patient. I’m going back first.”

After Freya finished instructing, she left through the back door and left behind the vice director and a group of assistants who were still in awe.

The wound she had sutured was almost invisible.

-After changing her clothes in the dressing room, Freya went out and saw Ethan waiting outside the room.

“Professor Harlan, where are you going-

“I’m going back to take care of my brother.”

Freya glanced at Ethan. “Dr. Griffiths, please keep my identity a secret. I don’t want people to know who I

am.”

“Yes. Of course I will!”

Freya smiled. “I’ll come back next month and give a lecture at the hospital.”

Her principle for dealing with things was to help others who had helped her.

As they returned to the office, Ethan recalled something. “Professor Harlan, is there a problem with Jamie Fraser’s medical record you had me retrieve before?”

Freya also remembered. “He’s a relative of a friend of mine. I might be performing surgery on him in the future, so I needed to look over his medical record.”

Jamie Fraser’s condition is complicated. He has a brain injury, and it’s close to the cranial nerve.”

Freya nodded. “I know. If it weren’t complicated, I wouldn’t have to study it myself.”

When they came out of the office, Freya turned to look at Radley and Matthew not far away, then turned to Ethan and bowed slightly. Thank you, Dr. Griffiths. I will take care of the post-operative care.”

Ethan smiled. “Miss Kaufmann, please rest assured that the operation is in good hands.”

The two looked like they had just finished discussing the patient’s condition.

Shortly after Freya left, the door of the operating room opened.

Matthew hurried forward and stopped the vice director. “Doctor, how is Braxton’s condition?”

The vice director removed his mask. “It’s okay. There’s no life-threatening danger. The leg fracture has been fixed, but he also suffered a concussion. Therefore, he needs to take several months of rest and avoid walking”

Matthew breathed a sigh of relief.

At the side, Radley also breathed a barely perceptible sigh of relief.

When Braxton was pushed out of the operating room in a bed, Freya hurried forward.

Along with the nurse, the two pushed the bed, one on each side, and walked away.

Radley looked at Freya with complex eyes. From the moment she arrived until the end of the surgery, she didn’t even spare a glance at him.

When did he no longer exist in her eyes?

In the ward, Freya and Matthew waited for Braxton to wake up from anesthesia.

Matthew glanced at the figure outside the door. “Kittie, that man hasn’t left yet.”

With a nod. Freya got up and left the ward.

Radley stood in the corridor opposite the ward while exuding a strong aura. The afternoon sunlight shone on him from the window, but it couldn’t melt his coldness.

“Radley, let’s talk.” Freya looked at him calmly.

It wasn’t convenient to talk in the corridor, and Freya didn’t feel like finding a place to sit with him.

Therefore, the two of them went up the nearby staircase.

Freya looked up at him. “My brother had a car accident today because of me, and I believe you know the reason for it.”

Lowering his gaze, Radley looked at her. “Yes.”

He knew Braxton had the accident because of the trending topic and wanted to help Freya seek justice.

Freya took a deep breath. “I’ll let bygones be bygones, but I expect you to keep a close eye on your people from now on. If Danna causes trouble again, I will make her leave Caltun!”

Radley gazed at her because he noticed the woman in front of him had sharp eyes and spoke confidently.

“I don’t know much about those things, but the trending topics’ removal was to prevent my grandmother from seeing it,” Radley explained for the first time.

“What’s passed has passed. I don’t care about the reasons. Freya’s eyes were cold. “I just hope you can pass my words to Danna. Also, you may leave now. My brother probably doesn’t want to see you either.”

After she finished speaking, she turned and left.

The door of the staircase slammed shut.

Radley stood there with his cold face showing some complicated emotions.

After he left Braxton’s ward and went downstairs, Connor was already waiting for him. “Mr. Monaghan.”

Radley looked at him. “Is Danna also in this hospital?”

“Yes, she seems to be in the Department of Cardiology.”

“Okay, let’s go check on her.”

Radley stopped at Danna’s ward, which was located on the thirteenth floor of the Department of Cardiology.

Inside the ward, her voice was no longer gentle as usual.

“Be gentle! Do you nurses even know how to give injections? Get the doctor here! I want to know why there are so many medications for me?”

Another woman’s voice tried to comfort her. “Miss Danna, it’s okay. These are all nutritious fluids that are good for your body. And it’s to make Mr. Monaghan worry about you.”

“Even if I want him to worry, he only comes at night. Why am I put on IV now?”

Amidst the arguing voices inside the room, a young nurse walked out with red eyes.

Radley frowned and opened the door to the ward.

Sitting on the bed, Danna looked frighteningly different from her usual beautiful and gentle appearance.

When she saw him, she was startled before softening her voice. “Radley, why are you here? Didn’t Connor say you would come after work?”

Radley walked to the bedside and sat on the chair the assistant hastily vacated. “I happened to be passing by.”

Danna clutched the sheets nervously. “How long have you been here?”

Radley slightly raised his cold gaze and replied in a low voice, “I just arrived.”

So, he just arrived. Good, that’s good, she thought.

Danna secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Radley observed her closely but didn’t show any emotion on his face. “Where are you hospitalized?”

“My heart isn’t feeling well. She held her chest and acted like a weak, sickly beauty with her slightly pale face. I’ve had heart problems since I was young. You know that.”

Radley nodded in response.

As the atmosphere in the ward was getting awkward, the assistant smiled awkwardly. “Miss Danna, I’ll go make some tea. You two can go on with the chat.”

After the assistant left, Danna cautiously observed Radley’s expression.

She fidgeted with her hands anxiously with a helpless look. “Radley, I’m sorry about yesterday’s trending topic.”

Radley furrowed. “Why did you claim the new investor was the one who requested a role change?”

Gritting her teeth. Danna carefully chose her words. “You know me, I have always been straightforward. I just wanted to say that it was embarrassing to be replaced by Jean Birch… Being embarrassed is one thing. but being replaced for no reason in the industry will lead others to assume it’s because of my poor acting or other reasons, which could affect my future development.”

As she spoke, she looked increasingly aggrieved.

“I thought that by claiming that the investor was responsible for the role changing, I could find a way out of the embarrassing situation. Honestly, I didn’t expect so many things to happen afterward.”

Radley frowned tightly after hearing from Danna. Although he acknowledged her explanation was indeed flawless, he couldn’t help but wonder if she was truly simple-minded and just wanted a way out.

He had a vague answer in his mind.
