CLARISSA’S POV.
His blue eyes were fixed on me, I can clearly notice his eyes moving from me to Brooke and his arm around my waist, My gaze was fixed on him, I could also notice his jaw tightening and his fist clenching and unclenching, his eyes moved back to me, eyes fixed on me while his eyebrows furrowed and His glare sucked something out of me, He never looked at any of the rest of the staff, just me, never blinking. There was no softness in that gaze. It was a look that conveyed a bubbling hatred. Disgust perhaps.
“Are you okay, Miss Green,” Brooke’s voice broke our trance, my eyes moved to him and noticed the worry in his brown orbs.
“Yeah, I’m Okay,” I said with an assuring smile on my lips,
“By the way, you look beautiful,” he said, with his eyes staring right at mine and his next action took me off guard, he took my hand in his and moved it to his lips and placed a kiss on the back of it. My eyes automatically moved to Mr. Villin who was now glaring at Brooke.
“You came,” Lillian’s voice pulled my attention away from him,
“Ha!” I looked at her in confusion,
“Lydia was asking you, She got a call from the PR firm and they want to talk,” She said, I looked around for Lydia and I spot her talking to someone through the phone,
I smiled and nodded at Lillian and Brooke who were staring at me, I began walking towards Lydia through the people in front of me. She noticed me walking to her and her eyes moved to my face to my dress and back to my face. She hung up the call, “You look so beautiful,” She said, hugging me. She was wearing a Beads Black glittering Floor Length, Sleeveless Mesh Maxi with deep V neck.
She was looking very pretty in this dress, “You look lovely,” I said pushing a hair strand behind her ear.
“Thank you,” She smiled, “Everything is set, Guests are arriving, Once Mathew and Robert appear, Party will be started,” she said, I nodded my head at her.
We waited for Mathew and Robert while the venue filled with guests, waiters were serving them drinks and helping them take a seat. I was welcoming the VIP guests and Mathew business friends, while I was helping them take a seat and drinks I constantly felt an intense gaze on me. It made the hair on the body stand up and made me extremely tense.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
I didn’t dare to look at the person and tried to ignore the feeling I had, but somewhere deep down I had a gut feeling that the person behind the cards had already arrived but I pushed it down as the security was very tight here. Only invited guests are allowed inside, it’s not possible for him to come inside without getting caught, I thought to myself.
I noticed Mathew stepping towards the main entrance, Lillian immediately walked towards him and led him inside. After a few minutes, Robert walked in with his assistant following him behind. He was young and attractive, dressed in a tuxedo, he walked straight towards Mathew.
They both shook their hands and sat down in the chair’s side by side, my eyes automatically moved Mr. Villin who was calmly sitting beside his father. Our eyes meet, we hold eye contact without backing down, the intensity those blue eyes of his held are very strong and intimidating.
In the end, I averted my eyes from his and glanced at my phone to check the time, his eyes were a maze you couldn’t help but get lost in and avoid that, it’s best for me to avert my attention away from him.

I was sitting in the front row with Lydia and Lillian sitting on either side of me, While I was watching Mathew giving his speech which I prepared for him, he was nailing it, A proud smile was playing on my lips as I watched him.
Mathew ended the speech and asked Robert to talk about their collaboration, Robert smiled at Mathew and stood up from the chair, I watched him step towards the mike and began greeting everyone before starting his speech.
He expressed how happy and excited he was to work with The Villin’s, after his speech everyone began enjoying the party as the music began playing by the DJ. People began walking towards the dance floor with their respective partners and began dancing with them.
“I know I was wrong but she can’t just expect me to do that, right?” Lydia said looking at me, she was talking about her aunt demanding her send money to her. I just nodded at her as I was in no mood to answer her because my mind and attention was elsewhere.
All I could think was those mesmerizing blue eyes and the way they looked at me. I couldn’t take my mind off of his eyes and the way he clenched his jaw when he saw Brooke’s hand around my waist. His actions and the way he looks at me always confuses me to no end.
Why can’t he just leave me alone!
