Chapter 57: Do You Miss Me
The light from the setting sun came through the window and fell on You Ze’s body, filling the air with warmth and tranquility. After finishing the last word of his signature, You Ze went straight home without stopping for a moment.
Since when had he preferred to stay at home? Before he got married, he either worked overtime in the company or went out drinking with Zhong Yi, but after living with Shiyao, he was surprised to find how happy he was to get to and from work on time with Shiyao every day.
With a satisfied smile on his face, You Ze stepped on the gas to return home.
You Ze parked his car and was disturbed to see a crowd gathering on one side of the yard.
“Bro Ze, there you are!”
Tang Ting shouted with excitement. After a day in the yard with Shiyao and wandering around as she directed, Tang Ting had been exhausted. But now seeing You Ze, Tang Ting felt the whole day’s fatigue was worth it!
“Why are you here?”
You Ze frowned, ‘Usually no one would come to You’s house.’
“Nana asked me to accompany Shiyao…”
Tang Ting answered softly.
It was then that You Ze noticed Shiyao in the middle of the garden. The sun had gone down, and the scattered glow reflected all sorts of colors. Shiyao breathed the air of nature, refreshed.
Attracted by a lovely rose in bloom nearby, Shiyao wanted to pick it, but found her wheelchair was blocked.
Since only one thigh was injured and it didn’t hurt, Shiyao stood up and leaned forward, reaching out for the rose.
“Shiyao!” You Ze came to Shiyao as fast as he could to press her back into the wheelchair.
“What are you doing?!”
Tang Ting was secretly delighted with You Ze’s angry face. She had expected this, and that arrogant woman refused to listen to her.
“Pick flowers,” Shiyao said with ease, waiting for You Ze’s reaction.
“Who allowed you to get up?” You Ze roared.NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.
“Nana…”
Since Jiang Fengyi didn’t stop Shiyao from going out in a wheelchair, Shiyao directly pinned the blame on her.
“Have you changed dressing?”
“Yes, Sister Liu helped me this afternoon,”
Shiyao answered obediently. Watching her ruddy face and good spirit, You Ze used a softer tone.
“Don’t walk around again. Why can’t you stay in bed now that you are injured?”
Shiyao stuck her tongue out, realizing that You Ze was nervous about her wound.
“Look, You Ze, do you like it?”
Shiyao pointed to the garden before her. You Ze looked around and found that the garden had completely changed and was integrated into the yard.
“Yeah, it’s beautiful.”
“We all like it!” Shiyao happily pointed at the people behind her, “You Ze, how about leaving the garden to me? I’ll make it better!”
You Ze gently rubbed her hair, and said smilingly. “No problem.”
Tang Ting gaped at them, ‘You Ze was angry just because he was worried about Shiyao? He didn’t mind she changed his garden, and handed it over to her?’
‘Can’t be, that’s Sister Xuehan’s masterpiece!’
Tang Ting got in a panic, fearing that You Ze had fallen for Shiyao.
“Carry me in…”
Shiyao spread her arms, exhausted after a day’s work. You Ze took her out of the wheelchair, passed Tang Ting, and went toward their room.
“Miss Tang, our master said that it’s dark and the chauffeur will drive you home, or your parents would be worried. Besides, he appreciated you being here with Mrs. You today. Thank you very much.”
The butler blocked Tang Ting out as she was following You Ze inside.
‘Thank you?’ Tang Ting’s face was flushed with anger, ‘I took care of Shiyao all day but received a “thank you” only from the butler?’
Angry, Tang Ting stamped her foot. She was gonna tell Zhao Xuehan and ask her back so that Shiyao would know her place!
“How’s your leg?”
You Ze gently put Shiyao on the bed and lifted her skirt.
“Um, much better…”
Shiyao’s face burnt hot as Mr. You’s warm hand fell on her thigh.
Unaware of her uneasiness, You Ze carefully checked the wound and changed the dressing for her.
“Don’t do this tomorrow. Just stay in bed!”
You Ze said gravely but Shiyao responded with a giggle.
“I mean seriously. I’m watching you at home if you don’t listen to me.”
“What about your work?”
“Don’t forget, I’m the boss.”
You Ze retorted triumphantly. Choked with anger, Shiyao leaned against the bed turning her face away.
“Yeah, you are the boss! You’re always screwing around to irritate me…”
“Why didn’t I know this?” You Ze smiled wryly, ‘The woman is jealous again.’
“That Tang Ting, you knew she had other intentions, and still invited her over to say something annoying…”
You Ze was puzzled, ‘When did I ask Tang Ting over?’ He knew from Tang Ting’s last visit that Shiyao detested her very much, and he also didn’t like the presence of other women in his house.
“She said what?”
You Ze asked, wondering what would enrage Shiyao.
“She…”
“Well, it’s no big deal, forget it.”
Her mind told her that she shouldn’t mention Zhao Xuehan to You Ze. Perhaps that was really a forbidden area in his heart. ‘Now, it’s very good,’ Shiyao clung to the quilt, feeling it hard to imagine the furthering of her relationship with You Ze. But she was also unwilling to put it on the line.
“What are you thinking?”
You Ze knocked Shiyao on the head, causing her wince.
“Is it me?”
When Shiyao was distracted, You Ze pushed his face against hers.
“No, of course not…”
Looking at the suddenly enlarged face before her eyes, Shiyao blushed even more obviously.
“So, why are you blushing?”
You Ze was only trying to tease her, but the closer they got, the more he couldn’t resist.
Placing a gentle kiss on her lips, You Ze lowered his voice, “Do you miss me?”
“Y… yes…”
Immersed in You Ze’s addictive approach, Shiyao didn’t know how to hide her true feelings.
“Me, too.”
As if getting butterflies in her stomach, Shiyao felt her heart going pit-a-pat uncontrollably.
You Ze looked into Shiyao’s bright and clear eyes and pressed his lips firmly on hers, giving full vent to his desire without the slightest patience.
