Chapter 50: You Wanna Kill Me
“I’d better not. It’s inappropriate.”
You Ze shoved the phone into Zhong Yi’s hand glancing at his penis wittingly or unwittingly. Zhong Yi took over it annoyed and leaned against the window.
“Stop looking at me. I’m dialing!”
‘What a sin! Had I known this would happen, I would not have called him over for a drink with these girls. God knows what You Ze will do to me?’
After feeding her mother, Xu Youyou was peeling an apple when the phone rang.
She picked up the phone and was impressed by the name ‘Zhong Yi’. Meanwhile, the knife in her hand fell on the ground with a clang.
“What’s wrong, Youyou?”
Her mother heard the crisp sound and managed to ask. Xu Youyou quickly put the phone behind her back and gently comforted her mother.
“Nothing, it’s a call from work.”
Having no idea of his purpose, Xu Youyou was hesitating whether to answer Zhong Yi’s phone. At this time, the ring stopped abruptly.
Xu Youyou took a deep breath. But two seconds later, the phone rang again.
“Hello…”
The girl’s trembling voice slightly embarrassed Zhong Yi. Thinking that You Ze would like to point at him with a knife behind his back, he cleared his throat and asked her where Shiyao was in an authoritative tone.
“Yaoyao? Didn’t she go back?”
“Uh, I called her for something urgent at work, but no one answered. Do you know where she is?”
Xu Youyou looked out at the dark night. Shiyao left three hours ago.
“She stayed with me at the hospital for a while this afternoon and left before dark. I’ll call her later.”
“Ok, I’ll call you later.”
After that, Zhong Yi hung up the phone before Xu Youyou answered.
“You son of a bitch, you know I never contact those women for the second time, for whatever reason.”
“You are such a greedy rabbit that even eats the grass near your own hole.”
You Ze ridiculed Zhong Yi, with his eyes on the phone.
“Absolutely, I’m a rabbit eating everything.”
Xu Youyou gave Shiyao a call but didn’t get through. She went on making several attempts, but in vain.
“No one answered my call. Is it possible that Yaoyao has an accident?”
Xu Youyou anxiously paced back and forth outside the ward. ‘I should have sent Shiyao back.’
Zhong Yi pondered and asked her about the hospital address.
You Ze rushed to Xu Youyou’s Hospital, watched all the surveillance videos, and saw Shiyao walking out of the hospital at 7:10pm.
“Find the taxi.”
You Ze pushed the sleepy man Zhong Yi next to him. People who drank wine were always not very clear-headed.
Shiyao lingered by the hospital gate, and got into a taxi half an hour later.
……
Outside the house came the chilling shrill cries of a stray cat.
Shiyao felt so cold that her skin hurt. Her neck, even worse, couldn’t move at all. She felt more uncomfortable than getting a stiff neck.
“Ouch…”
Shiyao found herself tied up and blindfolded. The rest was fine.
“Hello?”
Shiyao shouted inquiringly. There was no answer except for the echo of her own voice.
“Shit. What a bad day!”
Just because of a helpless little girl, she was taken to such a strange place. Shiyao shook her heavy head and wiggled her body around.
Given anything sharp, she could escape.
Slow but unsteady footsteps approached. Shiyao paused and listened carefully.
“What are you looking for?”
A flippant voice sounded over her head, which was all too familiar for Shiyao.
“It’s you. We just met days ago. You miss me so much that you catch me?”
Ji Manqing squatted down smelling strongly of wine, and held Shiyao’s chin hard. With hands bound, Shiyao struggled in vain and had to endure the abuse of Ji Manqing.
“Of course, I could hardly drink or eat these days.”This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Ji Manqing spit in Shiyao’s face and pushed her to the ground, laughing like crazy at the little furniture and holes in the walls.
The nasty knock on her head left her in so much pain that Shiyao’s eyes under the strip were full of tears.
“Are you mad?”
Shiyao took a deep breath to relieve the pain on her forehead.
“Yes, I am. You make me this way, are you happy now?”
Ji Manqing’s hair was a tangled mess on her back; her dress was still the one she wore when she left home, but it became dirty and smelly in only two or three days.
After being kicked out of Li’s, she had been drinking alcohol and sleeping in this hut. Her father, a confirmed gambler, refused her in, scolded her for not being able to keep a man, and asked her to prostitute herself to bring money back.
Not having much money, Ji Manqing had to rent the cheapest house and lived the life that sickened her most.
“How can you find me?”
Shiyao wondered, “Has Ji Manqing been secretly following me? It’s impossible. You’s house is not accessible to ordinary people.”
“Hum, thank your cousin for being so kind. It seems that she wish you dead more than I do.”
Ji Manqing sneered. Shiyao’s heart was thumping.
It turned out to be Qin Wen.
“You wanna kill me?”
Shiyao huddled in the corner, not afraid, and talked calmly to Ji Manqing.
“Shiyao, kneel down to beg me. Maybe I’ll keep you in one piece.”
Ji Manqing waved a knife in her hand. Kidnapping Shiyao was unexpected. She had been desperate to kill Shiyao, but she had no money, no power and no chance at all.
Suddenly, Qin Wen contacted her, told her where Shiyao was, and guaranteed her five million yuan if she ruined Shiyao.
In the old days, Ji Manqing wouldn’t attempt murder for five million yuan, but now, she couldn’t wait to strip Shiyao’s skin for nothing.
Ji Manqing searched the hut and found only a knife peeling apples. That was enough. She could cut Shiyao into pieces to revenge herself.
Feeling bad, Shiyao moved closer to the corner, but remained calm.
Shiyao knew Ji Manqing, who never even dared to see a dead mouse. How could she get the guts to kill people?
“Ji Manqing, we were best friends.”
Shiyao hated Li Sicheng so much not only because he cheated on her, but because he slept with her best friend, Ji Manqing, to whom she had bared her soul. That was why she was so sad.
