Chapter 182 Some Women Want to be a Mistress

Chapter 182 Some Women Want to be a Mistress

“Well, if you’re sure,” said Anne uncertainly. She still felt quite scared, but Sarah seemed fine now, so

she relaxed somewhat. “You rest, and I’ll go wash the dishes.”

“I’ll help you,” Sarah offered, but Anne snatched her bowl away. “Anne, honestly, I’m used to it.”

“Nope, you rest.”

At the office, Sandy set the two lunchboxes on the table. They really were exactly the same—all he

could do was let his boss pick first. What would he think when he saw they were identical?

“Two portions?” said Andrew. The outside of the boxes were a scene from a cartoon. To imagine so

great a man eating from a child’s lunchbox was unusual indeed.

“Yes, your wife said one for you and one for me.” Sandy smiled nervously, though he already felt quite

hungry.

“For you?”

The way he said those two words made Sandy cringe. “That’s… that’s right, that’s really what your wife

said. One for you and… and another for me.” Internally he prayed his boss would not make a big deal

about it.

“One, is that right?” Andrew opened one of the boxes. Inside was fruit, cut delicately, along with

chicken wings, eggs, broccoli, and a little container of soup. There were also mushrooms, and white

rice sprinkled with sesame seeds. It smelled fantastic, and Sandy nearly began drooling.

“One?” Andrew repeated.

Better to be hungry than dead. “Actually, sir, I’ve just remembered, I have some papers that need

finishing, I’ll go attend to them immediately. Please, eat, eat.”

“Very well.”

Satisfied, Andrew sat down to partake. The food’s aroma, wafting down the hall, made Sandy look back

forlornly. It appeared ordering takeout was his own lot in life.

Then someone said to him, “Sandy, can I go in?”

It was Bianca. First Emily, now her… why were they so intent on tormenting Andrew today? “Has

something happened?”

Bianca, holding a sheaf of papers, explained, “This is one of our growth reports, I had hoped the

director could look it over and let me know what needs expanded on, is that all right?” Her expression

was eager, her tone hopeful.

“If… you insist,” said Sandy slowly.

He called Andrew to make sure, but before he could say anything, Andrew said, “I won’t save you any.”

Luckily Sandy had not expected him to. “Sir, Miss Bianca Brown is here to see you, she wants you to

look over a report.”

Andrew hesitated, before: “Not now. Have her come back later.”

When Sandy relayed the message, Bianca frowned, clearly reluctant to believe it. “Why not now?

Surely he doesn’t intend to take an afternoon nap?”

“Of course not. He’s eat the lunch his beloved made for him. If you don’t mind leaving, I’m sure he

won’t want to see anybody for some time.”

“His beloved made him lunch?” Bianca repeated. Had that Emily come just now to deliver him food?

“If your issue is urgent, you can give them report to me, and I will pass it on to the director a bit later.”

Bianca clutched the papers to her chest. “Nevermind. I’ll bring them back later.” As she left the office,

she gave Phyllis a call. “I’ve got news, and it’s about Andrew.”

“Well, what is it?”

Bianca reported everything she’d learned that day, and Phyllis was shocked. “That can’t be true.

Andrew keeps a mistress?” Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“Really, it’s true. Everybody here at the company knows about Emily, but none know about Sarah. It

seems Emily has quite the hold over people here, they all treat her with the utmost care and respect.”

“With how tender he is toward Sarah, I never would have expected him to betray her like this… it

seems men really can’t be trusted.”

“So what should we do?”

“You’ve not changed in what you want?”

Bianca bit her lip. Though she felt a bit guilty about it, she was still willing to sacrifice everything for her

love. All was fair in love and war. “It’s like this. If a man really loves you, he won’t take a mistress. But if

he does? It means he and his wife just won’t work out. You either cheat once, or you cheat a million

times. I’ve got to seize this chance.”

Hearing this, Phyllis felt rather uneasy. After all, she herself was married with children. If another

woman like her sister came along, hellbent on destroying a marriage and a family… of course she’d be

upset. But Bianca was her sister after all—if she didn’t help her, who would?

And anyway, with regards to a man like Andrew… to get him this way would be a bad thing, but it would

lead to many good ones. In a way, Phyllis was jealous.

“All right, fine, if you like him so much, I’ll help you. But don’t do anything rash. A man like that, don’t

think if you play cut he’ll just forgive you.”

“Okay, I’ll listen to you. Just please, help me get close to him. I love him so much, I have from the

moment I met him. To think he’s the one Daddy’s working with… it’s fate.”

Phyllis sighed. “Just go back to work. If you do a good job, he’ll notice you on his own. He’s got an eye

for talent.”

“I will. Thank you!” Bianca hung up, pleased to have her sister’s help, with which she would surely

succeed. From now on, she’d have to take painstaking care with her appearance, to become as

beautiful as possible.

She did not have Sarah’s exceptional beauty or Emily’s outstanding poise. All she had was her youth—

but didn’t men treasure that? She would use it, and use it well. Her gaze sparked with determination.
