Chapter 102 Mood Swings
“Damn Matthew Grant… petty man… unbelievable…”
When Matthew left in the morning, Blanca had lost sight of him when she’d chased out. Which was to say, Matthew left her alone at the mall?!

On the way back, Blanca kept on cursing at him inwardly. Matthew’s mansion was in a wealthy area, with no public transport access… well everyone there had cars, and subways or buses weren’t necessary. So she had to gut herself and take a taxi.
Blanca hadn’t worked at all since coming to Oakshire, so she was digging into her reserves!
She pouted. She didn’t want for food or drink here, but she didn’t have an income either.
“Madam, the young master is still busy. He wants you to go ahead and eat first,” Mrs. Johnson said, walking over. Blanca nodded. Ever since she’d come back, Mrs. Johnson had told her that Matthew had gone to the office, probably busy with work.
Fine, it was better if he didn’t come out.
Blanca scarfed down the meal, the good food improving her mood.
Washing after dinner, she started having weird thoughts again.
If she was going in to work at the Empire Group – what if Matthew didn’t pay her?
Ahh~ poverty was a terrible thing.
Right, maybe she could try that trick… selling her art?
Considering that, Blanca’s eyes lit up. She’d always come through on execution, and she sent out a post in her circle right away. “Want an animated gif of me? Four bucks for one animated avatar!”
Blanca looked with satisfaction at her circle and smiled.
She could see the money rolling in!
The avatar made was a cartoonish version of herself, with her hair in a chignon, a white blouse and pale blue denim skirt, hiding none of her youth and purity.
Blanca had learned all her drawing technique on her own and it wasn’t as good as those of Peter’s, but she practiced hard, so it came to some effect!
With all that done, she was about to advertise her art on another platform when her phone suddenly rang.
The number wasn’t saved in her system…
But that string of numbers was embedded deep in her mind. Blanca didn’t like to shy away from a problem. She thought about it, then sat straight and took the call.
“Hey, Blanca? It’s Todd… I… I want to meet you. Do you have the time?”
Todd’s voice was struck through with equal parts expectation and uncertainty. He sounded cautious. His attitude jabbed Blanca through the heart. Todd was a college graduate while she herself had stopped after high school, so before Todd and his friends, she felt like she wasn’t up to their level…
Especially when they had been dating, and Todd had only rarely brought her to see his friends.
Blanca never said it, but she knew that Todd held her education in a bit of contempt.
Had he ever talked to her in such an attitude?
“Todd, I’m going to sleep. Just say what you want to say.” Blanca bit her lip.
“Blanca… I argued with Kylie. The two of us aren’t meant for each other. I…”
“Todd, we are not what we were now. Whatever you do has nothing to do with me. You chose Kylie in the beginning and I wish you happiness. Now, stop calling me, please.” Blanca’s tone grew heavier. She didn’t like what Todd was doing now.
