Ava POV

“Of course not. Come over to the club, it’s high time you use that damn car she bought for you and drive yourself down here. I’m giving you twenty minutes Ava. ” She uttered with an orderly voice and ended the call.

“What the fuck? ” I cursed, running my hands through my hair. I ruffled my hair in frustration and sighed deeply. I slammed my body back to my bed, all I want to do is to be at home, alone. I didn’t even expect to see how far the day had gone. After several minutes on my bed, I finally decided to use the bathroom.

In the bathroom, with the shower running on hair, a thought came across my mind and I turned off the shower.

“If madam Nada didn’t go to the club after leaving home for so long, then where did she go? When she knew today was going to be a busy day in the club. ” I mumbled to myself, alone in the bathroom.

“Did something happen to her? ” I thought and my heart skipped immediately when I made such a thought. Rushing out of the bathroom nakedly with a soapy body to my bedroom. I picked up my phone and dialed her number.

It was going to her voicemail. I decided to drop a message, I guess Janice would have dropped also. Having a dirty mind, filled with negative thoughts sometimes makes me shiver at some thoughts I made sometimes.

“What if she was attacked? Did she disappear because of the argument we had this afternoon? ” Different thoughts kept coming to head and I shook them and cleared my throat as I was about to drop her a voicemail.

“Ma’am, Janice said she’s been trying your number but you aren’t picking any of it. I’m worried and my mind and head keep making up negative thoughts but I don’t want to believe any of those. ” I don’t know when my voice failed me despite clearing it before clicking on the voicemail. I just found myself running my right hand through my hair and I pleaded.

“I’m sorry, I know you felt bad for the mistake I made. I’m sorry mom. ” I stuttered the last words and sniffed through my nostrils before sending the voicemail. I walked back to the bathroom to continue my bath and it took me minutes before I was done.

Walked out of the bathroom and took my robe when I heard the bell ring.

“Who could be here? ” I thought as I tied up my robe. I walked out of the room, getting to the living room and I gasped.

“What if it’s Dalton? Not again, NO is NO. I don’t want to get on Madam Nada’s side. ” I thought and gently turned away.

“Isn’t Ava home already? ” Came Gold voice from the door.

“Goldie?! ” I mumbled and rushed back to the door. I unlocked it and opened it to see she looked frustrated.

“Come in. ” I mumbled looking outside a bit before getting inside and shut the door behind me.

“What the hell did you take out your phone? ” She yelled and as she stood steps away.

“Did you call? ” I asked, wondering why she’s like this.

“I didn’t because Janice said she’s been calling your line and you aren’t picking up. She said she tried Madam Nada but none of you picked. She called me to check up on you. ” She explained with a furious voice.

“i slept off, u don’t even know time had gone not when she called me. ” I replied and I walked back to my room and she followed.

“Are you going to the club? Because she said you have to take care of Madam Nada, an important club guest. ”

“Yeah, but I don’t feel like going. I just want to rest for today–”

“You should go Ava. Represent her for once, I know she left because of the argument that happened between you two. So you have to manage her business for now till she feels like coming back. ” She said as she sat on my bed. I stopped to glance at her and I sighed deeply.

“I guess it’s my fault she’s away. I hope she comes back, I’m ready to apologize to her—”

“For what exactly? Because I don’t understand why she’s really furious at you being with her step brother. ”

“For many reasons. I would like to keep it private for now. I will tell you when I feel like telling you. ” I replied as I rub the glow oil on my skin. She stood up and went to my wardrobe.

“What dress do you want to wear? ” She asked as she kept checking each party gown.

“The blue one, that has an exposed back. ”

“Not bad for the boss herself. ” Now she’s teasing me. I chuckled and collected the gown from her.

Her words made me arched my brows, I paused for minutes, no words, just stares.

“Yes. Once in a while but definitely not under the same roof with Madam Nada. ” I uttered with a conclusive voice and she chuckled, another and another.

“Ava!!! ” Janice’s voice roared at my window and I sighed in frustration.
