Who Took The Photo?

CHAPTER 42: Who Took The Photo?

– LIA –

I WAS in full bed rest for three days. Kelleon didn’t leave my side from that moment he went home from buying the medicines. He was with me while I’m eating and resting. He also joined me in taking a bath because he doesn’t want to lose me from his sight. It was quite a torture for him when we’re bathing, I can say. He really did his best to control himself.

I think he deserves a reward after all of this…

Those days were supposed to be boring since all I did is to sleep, eat, use my phone, and rest. But Kelleon, Mama Thea, and Papa Killian made me enjoy it as they made sure that I won’t get bored. We talked about every topic we could think of. They even decided to eat in the bedroom just so I don’t have to move downstairs to eat with them.

Fortunately, Doctor Dizon told me that I can now move, walk, and continue my usual routine. I just have to refrain from doing intimate things with Kelleon.

“Mi amor,” I heard Kelleon called me while I was petting a white cat. I looked to him.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Hmm?” I asked.

He walked towards me and bent his knee so that we can be on the same level. His eyes looked down on the cat playing on my lap.

“Why are you sitting on the ground, mi amor? It’s dirty,” he said while caressing my hair.

I leaned to his shoulders. “I sat on a small mat, like the one in Mama’s office,” I answered. “Did you already finished your work?”

He nodded. “Yup. I looked for you in the living room but the maid said that you went outside,” he responded before looking at the cat again. “Where did you get that?”

I turned my head to the cat that’s purring. “I saw her right there,” I said as I pointed the huge trees on the other side of the pathway.

Kelleon touched the cat’s neck. The feline creature didn’t mind it and maybe it thought that Kelleon was giving him neck scratches.

“She doesn’t have a collar,” he looked at me before smiling. “Do you want to keep her?”

My eyes twinkled because of excitement. “Really?!” I exclaimed. “I can keep her?”

He nodded before kissing my forehead. “Of course. Mama’s also fond of cats and dogs. We can keep her as our pet, or maybe our first child,” he said and followed it with a playful wink.

I turned my head to the cat who’s busy kneading my legs.

“Do you want that, baby catto?” I asked with a small and cute voice. “I’m going to be your mommy! Do you want that?”

As if it understood me, she replied with a meow before clinging into my right arm. She extended her other paw to reach for Kelleon.

“I’m your Dad, baby cat,” Kelleon said while playing with the cat’s paw. He looked at me. “How should we call her?”

I was silent for a few moments while thinking of a cute name for my child. A few pet names came into my mind before finally deciding what to call her.

“Pochi!” I exclaimed. “We’ll call her Pochi!”

He petted the cat who jumped in front of him and lay down on the ground. “Why Pochi? I haven’t heard of that name before.”

“It’s one of my favorite candies. It’s the soft one in pink and white color covered with sugar,” I answered. “I think that name’s cute and it suits her because of her white fur and pinkish nose.”

He smiled. “Pochi, it is.”

Kelleon asked me to go to the exclusive park inside their subdivision. We walked to get there. He insisted that we should just ride his car but I told him that it’s just a short distance. Besides, Doctor Dizon told me that walking can help me adjust my body after days of resting.

While walking, the conversation I had with Althea before showed up in my mind. I want to ask Kelleon about it but I don’t know how to start. Sometimes, I asked questions if he already stayed in the Philippines before and what he did there. His answers are all about business.

“Cariño,” I called his name while we were sitting down on the bench, watching our child playing the grass by herself.

“Do you have any updates about Alejandro?” I asked. I felt him stiffened for a bit before looking at me. His stare is the dangerous one like he is going to attack somebody.

“Hmm?” I asked innocently when he didn’t answer. “Do you have an update?” I asked him again.

“Why?” he asked back, making me confused.

“What why?” I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows.

Kelleon moved his hand to the back of the bench while his other hand cupped my chin. He looked at my eyes intently. Although I don’t want to cut our stares, I have to take a look at Pochi every minute to check her.

“Why are you asking for an update about him? Are you concerned about his well-being?” he asked.

That was the dumbest question I heard today. I want to laugh at his face but I chose to hold it back. He is taking this with all seriousness, so I must do the same.

“I’m not concern about him,” I answered. “What I’m concerned about is that several days have passed after the start of our plan, but Denisse still hasn’t showed up. I’m starting to think that Alejandro is already here in Spain.”

He was speechless for a moment before slowly smiling like an idiot. He just switched from one emotion to another like it was nothing!

His hand moved to my cheeks. “Don’t worry about that, mi amor. I made sure that he won’t be able to enter Spain,” he answered. “And about Denisse, be patient. I know her moves – our spy is informing me everyday.”

I felt relieved and somehow glad when I heard that. “Really? Did she already know about our engagement?” I asked.

“Yes, mi amor. That news reached her ears,” he responded. “Just a few days and this will come to an end. I’m sure of that.”

He spoke with a victorious smile on his lips. I don’t have any idea on what Kelleon knows about Denisse, but what’s important is that the news reached her. That is the switch in our plan.

“I’m glad to hear that, cariño,” I spoke. “I wish that everything will go well.”

He hugged me from the side and kisses my neck. I can feel that he’s horny, but trying to hold back because of my situation. He licked and sucked my neck, which still has the marks he gave me that night. Good thing that there are only a few people in the park and they’re far from us.

“Cariño, can I ask a question?”

He chuckled. “You’re already asking a question, mi amor.”

I pouted and leaned away from him to see his face. “I don’t know if you’re comfortable with this question but,” I stopped for a moment while thinking if I should ask this.

I sighed. “How did you and Denisse met?” I asked.

He raised his eyebrows. “Oh that?” he said as if it was not serious. “I met her in my company.”

My lips formed into an o-shape. “She worked for you?” I asked.

Kelleon shrugged his shoulders. “Supposed to be,” he answered. “She went to my company to apply as a secretary. It just happened that I was there while she was falling in line for the job.”

He sighed, like he doesn’t want to talk about it. “I accepted her immediately without her undergoing the usual recruitment process. We casually talked for a few days before I asked her to be my girlfriend.”

I raised my eyebrows at him. “That was fast. You fell in love with at first sight?”

“You could say that,” he answered.

I pouted. I somehow felt sad. When he met Denisse, he immediately fell in love with her. On the other hand, I still have insecurities that he just loves me because I look like Denisse.

Kelleon must have noticed my silence after he answered my question. He cupped my face and kissed my lips.

“I love you, Lia. What happened between Denisse and I are already in the past,” he spoke while staring at my eyes. “I don’t love her anymore. Heck, I didn’t even really loved her.”

My eyes furrowed at what he said. “But you just said that you fell in love with her at first sight,” I told him.

He just chuckled and stared at me for a moment like he was thinking of something. I moved my head to the side and look over his shoulders to check our child. Thankfully, she is still busy scratching the wooden chair.

“Mi amor, you went to VGC McKinley before, right?” he asked out of nowhere. I want kind of confuse because of his question but I still answered it.

“Yup.”

He smiled. “For a field trip. Am I right?”

I was even more confused. “Yeah… How did you know that? As far as I remember, I didn’t tell you about that.”

He chuckled. “Of course, I know about that. I saw you that day, mi amor. And you saw me, too.”

I looked at him doubt, thinking that he must be joking. If I already met him before, then I won’t be able to forget him! He immediately became my crush when I saw him in the beach during my vacation. I’m sure the same thing would happen if I met him during my field trip!

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I said. “I don’t remember meeting you at that time.”

I suddenly remember Althea’s hunch. I was unsure of it at first, but now that Kelleon is telling me this, I’m starting to believe that it’s true.

Kelleon and the masked man both have blond hair. They have the same body built although Kelleon is a little bit bulkier. The masked man hair is long, unlike Kelleon’s.

“You’re wearing a green shirt. That must be your batch shirt. You’re hair is in braids and you have your purple sling bag with you. You’re phone that time is in Pokemon design.”

My jaw dropped. All of those details he said were correct. That was really what I wore that day. Those were my things way back that time.

He spat out a small laugh before cupping my face. “Do you remember the photo we discovered in Doctor Andres’ box?”

I nodded slowly.

“I was the one who took that photo, mi amor.”
