CHAPTER 32: Sabotage

I WOKE UP without Kelleon beside me. It was very unusual. Every day since I started living here, Kelleon will be on my side, staring and waiting for me to wake up.

Seeing that he was not on my side, I felt sad. I felt like my whole day was already ruined. I lazily made the bed before going to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

While doing the morning routine, my mind is wondering where is Kelleon and what he is doing.

“Is he already making the breakfast?” I asked myself. A few seconds later, I shook my head as an answer.

He always waits for me to wake up before making breakfast for the two of us. He will wake me up if it’s already late, and I’m still sleeping.

When I walked downstairs, I saw Kelleon talking to someone over the phone. I can see his furrowed eyebrows. He looks mad as if he received bad news.

“Is that already confirmed?” Kelleon asked the other end of the line. He was silent for a few seconds before speaking again.

“Tell Mama and Papa that I will take care of that son of a bitch,” he firmly said before ending the call.

When he saw me, his eyes widened before running in my direction. When he reached me, he opened his arms and hugged my body. He buried his face on my neck.

I caressed his back as I hugged him back.

“Is there something wrong, cariño?” I asked because I saw that he looked so bothered after that call.

He didn’t speak. He just nods his head in answer.

“What happened?” I asked him. We walked to the kitchen and made a coffee for him.

“Do you remember the company emergency we have in Spain?” he asked while hugging me from behind. His face is still buried in my neck.

I remember that one. His parents went back to Spain because of that.

“Yeah. How was it?”

He sighed. I can feel his breath on my neck.

“It was not just a simple emergency, mi amor,” he responded. “Someone sabotaged our company.”

I stopped mixing the coffee and hot water. I want to turn my body around to face him, but he’s holding me so tight that I can’t move in place.

“Who? How did they sabotage your company?” I asked.

“Alejandro,” he answered. So he was the son of a bitch that Kelleon is referring to earlier.

“He bribed our workers, most are those who are in higher positions. He gave them a large amount of money, and in return, they will resign and move to his company,” Kelleon added.

I squinted my eyes and hardened my grip on the spoon and mug. Now I know why he was so mad earlier. That Alejandro is not playing fair! He just looked cheaper because of what he did.

“You have to retaliate. If you let him do that, you will lose all of your workers,” I suggested.

I felt him smile on my neck. “Of course. I will fight back, mi amor. I will turn those back to him, tenfold.”NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

I finished making his coffee. I handed it to him and he gladly drank it. He didn’t let go of me, though. After sipping once, he will go back to my neck and smell it.

I’m not even sure if I smell good…

“What’s your plan, now?” I asked as he cooked our breakfast. He looks better now. He’s smiling as if nothing happened earlier.

“Like I said earlier, mi amor, I will send his attack back to him,” he answered.

“Besides, you told me that we need to destroy him to capture Denisse, right?”

I nodded as I handed him the salt. “Yeah, but how will you do that?” I asked.

He grinned at me. “Just watch how I work dirty, mi amor.”

HOURS PASSED, and I’m wondering why Kelleon isn’t leaving. I thought that he would need to leave the house because he would start his plan. But why isn’t he doing anything?

“Cariño,” I called him. “I thought you were going to do something about Alejandro?”

He turned his head to me because he was busy typing something on his phone. “Yup.”

I tilted my head to the side. “Then why aren’t you doing anything?” I asked.

He smiled playfully. “Do you want me to start now, mi amor?”

I furrowed my eyebrows. Isn’t that thing urgent?

“Of course! Your company is at stake, Kelleon!” I exclaimed.

He pouted at me. “I hate it when you call me by my name and not cariño,” he said before changing his emotion to being playful… or pervert.

“But I like it when you do it in bed, though.”

I slapped his thick, strong biceps. “I’m being serious here!” I said. “Aren’t you worried about what will happen to your company? Without your workers, your company won’t be able to do anything!”

He pinned me to the side of the wooden long chair before licking the side of my lips.

“You’re more worried than me, mi amor,” he said and licked my cheeks after.

“Of course,” I answered despite the sensation that it gave to me. “Your family worked hard for that. You can’t just let anyone destroy it.”

He grinned and cupped my face. “Mi amor, our company won’t shatter just because of that pathetic move. We’re more than that.”

He kissed my neck before sucking it. I’m sure that it left a mark on my skin.

“But for your peace of mind, sure. I will show you how I fight back.”

He typed something on his phone before calling it. He put it on speakerphone and placed the phone between us. It didn’t take long for the person to answer.

“Your Highness,” Cloud answered on the other line.

“Check every investor that Count Estrada has in his companies, even the branches,” Kelleon said while massaging my breasts. I slapped his hand to stop him, but he was too persistent and just grinned at me.

“Call them and tell them to withdraw their investment,” he said, making me widen my eyes. “Just tell them to name the price.”

I was shocked. Those words went out of his mouth so smoothly, as if the thing he tasked Cloud to do is easy.

“Yes, Your Highness,” Cloud answered. I raised my eyebrows. They can do that?!

“And also,” he kissed my lips first before speaking again. “Find a person inside his mansion who’s suitable to be an informant. Pick the one who’s easy to control. I don’t want to sweat more efforts for this.”

Kelleon didn’t wait for the response. He ended the call and continued kissing my neck. I want to stop him, but my body says otherwise.

I let him feast on it. I even thought that we would go to another level, but he stopped before he could even undress me.

I was kind of disappointed, but I think it’s better for him to focus on the plan first. We can always do the steamy acts after that…

“You’re destroying his company, too,” I said after he stopped kissing my body.

He nodded before pulling me closer to him.

“I’m just returning the favor, mi amor. The only difference is that I didn’t bribe his workers, rather, I targeted his investors,” he answered.

“Losing investors is much worse than losing workers. You can always hire new people to work for you, but it will be difficult to find new investors,” I said.

He nodded. “That’s right. In the business world, we’re competing for the attention of the investors. Gaining them makes us stronger, while losing them is like losing a limb.”

“Will you bribe all of his investors?” I asked. “Because if you do, it will cost a lot of money. They might take advantage of it to ask more money than what they invested.”

He touched my face. “They can’t do that, mi amor. They won’t dare. I’m sure of that.”

“And if it’s the money you’re worried of, then be not. I won’t go broke even if I gave all of his investors 50 million dollars each.”

I saw him grinning and raising his eyebrows. I rolled my eyes to him because he’s being arrogant again.

“I feel so poor whenever I’m with you,” I said.

He chuckled at me and hugged my body. “Don’t be, mi amor. My money is also yours. Just say the word and I’ll give it to you,” he replied.

I raised my eyebrows. “We’re not even married. Besides, I want to have my own money. The money I worked hard for, and not the money I just asked from you.”

Kelleon smiled and kissed me again. “Soon, mi amor.”

I didn’t mind what he said because my mind is already wandering somewhere else.

“About the last thing you said to Cloud,” I said, because it somehow bothered me. “What do you mean ‘find someone who’s easy to control’?” I asked.

He smiled at me, and it was not a simple smile. It is a smile of someone who has a plan in mind.

“I want to bribe or maybe, blackmail someone inside of his mansion in exchange of information,” he answered.

“You’re really playing dirty now, cariño,” I said. I can’t deny that I find it hot.

“I’ve been playing fair since then. It led me to nowhere, so I have to do this,” he answered. “Besides, I miss playing dirty games like this.”
