Mistake with the Alpha

Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 17

Samantha's POV

"Let me help" I saw a hand stretched towards me.

I looked up to see who at least is not heartless in our pack's warriors. Then I saw no one but our pack's never around young looking gemma. I looked at him and wondered if it was intentional by the moon goddess to put all of the handsome men in the pack's leadership.

The Gemma has been my crush since I was a teen. I loved to see him around. He would have been if our Alpha had found his mate because a Gemma is a protector of Luna but since he is not, he mostly takes care of the affairs outside the pack.

With the Gemma's look, none will know that he's just one year younger than the Alpha. Not that our Alpha looks older than his age but the Gemma looks way too young for his age.

"Will you continue ignoring my hand?" He asked.

It was then I came back to my senses. I gave him my hand to help me stand up but immediately he pulled me up, the pain on my leg sent me back.

"Her body is too huge for the leg" a female said in mockery.

The Gemma sent her a glare and she moved back. It was then I noticed that the females have moved closer. I know it's for the Gemma.

"Is your ankle broken?" He asked me with concern.

I shook my head. I couldn't find my voice to talk to him. He was looking at me with those pretty eyes and it was melting me.

The Gemma frowned.

"How long have you been running?"

I wonder how he knew I was running. I didn't know when he came in. As I am, I didn't reply. He bent down and touched my leg, this made me winced. He shook his head and then did the most shocking thing. He bent down and picked me up. I widen my eyes. "You shouldn't be doing this. I'm too heavy," I said shyly.NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.

He then burst into laughter.

"Who the hell fed you with that stupid lie? You don't even weigh a quarter of one of the iron weights I carry daily".

I didn't believe him because I've always heard that I have too much weight. The shame of knowing my exact weight wouldn't even make me weigh myself on a weighing scale.

"Even at that you shouldn't carry me. I'll try to walk" I said.

"I can't smell a mate on you, so I don't have anyone who will lunge for my throat" he said with a childish smile.

I bowed my head because I felt ridiculed. I know he didn't mean it to where I thought it to but it was like him reminding me of how lonely and alone I am.

"You can't lose weight. It's your body not fat. So stop hurting yourself" he said.

He is getting it all wrong. He thinks I'm doing this for myself.

"I'm not trying to lose weight. I'm getting punished for being silly" I said with ignominy.

It's not news. Everyone knows I've been punished. In fact he is the Gemma and the Alpha might tell him what I did. So what's the essence of lying?

"Who dares to punish a beauty like you?" He asked jokingly.

I know he was joking but I still like the way he called me beauty. Not differentiating my face from my body.

John has never told me I'm beautiful. He would rather say I'm cute but he would say,

"You have a cute face."

Meaning you don't have a beautiful body. The Gemma is really a gentleman.

"Me" I heard the Alpha's voice.

"No, this is trouble. Why is he everywhere?" I cried in my head.

"I wonder," Crystal replied.

"Oops!" the Gemma exclaimed in a low voice.

"Alpha" he bowed.

He didn't even make an attempt to put me down even when I was trying to, he held me firmly. The Alpha was looking at him and me with a look that can be so confusing. "Why is she in your hands?" He asked.

"I think her ankle is sprained. She can't walk" The Gemma replied.

"Then you should have sent someone to get the carrier to get her to the doctor," he said.

"None was ready to help her stand so I think it would be better for me to carry her there myself," the Gemma replied.

The Alpha stared at me as if I intentionally made the Gemma carry me. I don't know why he is so mean just for that little mistake of mine. I know I deserved to be punished but not hated.
