Mistake with the Alpha

Jaylen's POV

"Jay......."

The voice was very low but I still heard it and recognized it. That's the voice of my mate. I stiffened and looked at the direction. She must have been badly hurt. I then saw her curled at a corner with blood all over her. These broke my heart so bad. Ethan seeing that she was naked and him also being naked, he quickly went outside. "Jay..... I didn't...... I didn't...... Mean to hurt them" she cried when she saw me approach her.

I didn't know why she was crying. Did she think I'll be mad at her for killing those people who were after her life? Never! I would have killed them a thousand times if it's possible. I quickly checked if she was fine. Her wounds already closed up and I could smell that the blood on her body wasn't hers. I pulled my shirt and then covered her with it.

"They were going to...." I sniffed. "..... Going to..."

"Shhhh! Don't stress yourself. I know you did what you had to do" I said softly as I carried her out.

I was so proud of her. She single handedly handled three people. I didn't know who these people were but then I saw our pack's uniform so I knew they were the betrayers. I was glad about it. She really made me proud even with she been a warrior "They were going to hurt my baby," she finally said.

"You did what you had to do as a mother".

Sam passed out and I know I needed to get her to the hospital so as to examine her baby. We were in the middle of nowhere. I didn't even know where we were. We just went back the way we came.

Ethan, not having any clothes to wear, was wrapping leaves around his body. If not for what happened, it was a very funny sight to see. By the time we cleaned back to our pack, my mate woke up and started to groan.

"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked her.

Alvin was already waiting for us at the edge of the tunnel. None could laugh when Ethan came out wrapped with leaves.

"My stomach! Allison didn't stop hitting it" she said, still groaning.

I ran with her in my hands to the pack's clinic. I shouted the name of the physician. By this time my mate was already crying in pain. I could see that the pain was much. The physician was trying to wake her up but then she wouldn't open her eyes. "What's going on?" I asked anxiously.

"She's gone into labour!" The physician told me.

Even the physician knows. I hate to make sure to always take Sam to the physician to check her and her baby.

"Yes Alpha. Something must have forced her into early labour" he said.

Sam had said that Allison wouldn't stop hitting her baby. I just prayed in my heart that the baby should be fine. Most especially my mate. I don't want anything bad to happen to those two. Before I knew it, Sally was already beside me. For Sally to have known, she would have told my mother.

"Alpha" the physician called me.

I looked at him.

"We have to wake Luna before she can take delivery," he said.

She looks so tired. She has been fighting for her life all the while and now she's gone into labour again.

"Must we wake her?" I asked.

"Yes Alpha. It'll be bad news if we don't wake her" Sally saw the one who replied to me." You have to find a way to wake Alpha," she added.

I nodded. I wasn't even confident in myself. I looked at Sam who was groaning in pain. Her eyes were tightly shut. Holding her both shoulders and shook her to wake up but then she wouldn't. I started to try different ways to wake her up but Sam wouldn't wake up. But then her breath was slowing down.

Seeing this the physician felt agitated. Even the look on Sally wasn't good at all. I was damn scared. This woman must not die. Sally tried to wake her but then she didn't wake up. My mother was said to be outside but the physician wouldn't let anyone else in. "You have to do something. My mate can't die. Sam can't die!" I cried out.

The physician looked at me with so much pity. He moved closer to my mate and tried to wake her up but yet. She wouldn't wake up. Looking at the physician's face he was almost giving up. I asked to try the operation but the physician said she's too weak to undergo such stress. I almost wanted to collapse when I heard that.

I went to her bed and held her hands. I couldn't stop crying.

"Sam, don't do this to me!"

I don't know how I want to live if my mate dies. It'll be too painful for me. But then I'm going to destroy things. Destroy everything.........

I then felt a hand lift up and touch my wet cheek. I looked up and saw that it was my mate's hand.

"Don't be a crying Alpha" she said.

Her eyes were still closed. I touched her hand that was on my cheek.

"If you don't want me to cry. Open your eyes and let's deliver your baby" I said to her sniffing.

"My baby is coming?" She asked in a low voice.

"Yes and it needs you to be awake to deliver it safely" I said to her.

"Ok" she said.

She then tried to open her eyes. I could see that she was striving so hard so that it would open. After trying for a while, she finally opened it. I was so happy to see her open her eyes but that doesn't mean she didn't look weak. She even looked weaker than before and she didn't open her eyes.

"What is happening to her physician?" I shouted.

"I think the baby is drawing all her strength before it could get delivered," he said.

I could see that even him was so confused. Something then came to my mind. I ran out of the hospital like a mad man. Anyone who dares to stand in my way would be seriously damaged. I went to the pack's animal farm. I got a rabbit and brought it with me. Everyone was looking at me. Even the physician who tried to ask me what I'm about to do got a very brutal glare from me.

Ripping off the rabbit's head opened Sam's mouth and poured the blood. The blood was dropping all over but then who cares. So far the blood was entering my mate's mouth, everything else is nothing.

After I was done, I threw the dead rabbit down and watched my mate for a while. She had closed her eyes back and this got me so worked up. Before she was talking but now she's not saying anything. By the time I had thought I was going to be widowed, even Sally already touched my shoulders. I've never seen Sally cry since I first met her. Even when her mate died, Sally didn't cry but then she was crying.

But then colour stained my mate's cheek. I watched her closely. Then later her face begins to regain its colour. This got me so relieved. Even the physician sighed. The last few seconds were the hardest of my life. It was as if I had lost her but then now she's revived. "Ahhh!!!" My mate screamed in pain.

"Physician, what's wrong again?" I panicked.

The physician smiled at me." She's very fine, Alpha," he said.

I just hoped what he said was the truth. My mate opened her eyes and saw me. She took my hand and held it tight.

"Jay, it's too painful," she cried out.

Not knowing what to say. I just apologised.

"I'm so sorry baby" I said.

After some minutes of struggling, the baby's first cry was heard. It was very loud.

"It's a baby girl!" The physician announced. " Congratulations Alpha," he said.

I nodded at him but then my focus was solely on my wife. She was breathing softly. She noticed I was looking at her and opened her eyes.

"I'm fine Jay" she said smiling.

That was all I wanted to hear.
