Chapter 19 Tommy Saves the Day

One Sunday Morning, Kendra was still lying on the bed at her apartment staring at the window suddenly somebody was knocking at her door hardly. " Who is that? I am coming." Kendra stood up going near the door to open it up. Then the owner of her apartment showed up her face. "When will you pay your rent for last month and this month its due already?You cant have an excuse again because I already gave you more time for you to find ways to pay your rent. The owner angrily said standing infront of the door. " Oh, I am so sorry for the delays but I promise that I can pay you by the end of this month. I have got too much on my plate now and I forgot this matter. I sincerely apologize. Kendra calmly explained to the owner with her soft voice but the owner was so angry and kept shouting at Kendra's face. "No, I wont listen to you anymore. You have to pay right now or else you pack your stuffs and leave this apartment right away!" The apartment owner demanded. " As in Now?"Kendra asked starting to be annoyed with the owner. Your apartment is not bad. Are you staying here alone?" Tommy asked and looking around Kendra's apartment while Kendra starting to cook for their lunch in the kitchen." Yeah, I am staying here alone for a year now. You surprised me seriously. I am going to cook now for our lunch. You eat lunch here, okay?" Kendra replied calmly to Tommy. Kendra had finished cooking and brought some plates, glasses and the dishes on the table. "Wow, It looks delicious. You surprised me now that you can cook. I thought from the firstime I saw you and looked at you as if you never cook. You look like a very rich woman who never knows the household chores." Both were having fun talking each other while eating. Time was so fast for both. I got your address from Sussy where she got it from your record at the airport. I wanted to surprise and see you in person today because I have got an emergency from Dubai and I have to leave tonight.I am here to say goodbye for now and see you again soon. Tommy. Dont tell me that I owed you because of your 2000k dollars that you gave to the owner of this apartment. Dont worry by this end of the month, I am going to return it to you. " Oh okay, but I insist no need to pay me Kendra, and let me show you to express how I feel." Tommy smilingly insisted and said again how he wanted to express his feelings to Kendra."Seriously?Well if you insisted its up to you. Lets see what happens. I think its getting late now. I think not, I will be still on time because my flight will be at 11:45 pm but I have to go now." Tommy said and rushingly going out of Kendra's apartment. He turned back and went to Kendra for the lastime to kiss her right cheek good night.Tommy gently put his mouth to Kendra's right ear and whispered." Good night Kendra, I will call you and thank you for your delicious lunch and snack." then Tommy Kesler rushingly walking out the apartment. Kendra was still standing infront of her apartment door wondering and thinking that Tommy is truly crazy.
