Mermaid’s Lust

[Nina Point of view]

After the video conference with them, Andy went home. I went to bed.

In the morning, Andy went to my house to fetch me.

“I will still accompany you today at the studio.” I didn’t argue with him anymore and just nodded.

When we arrived at the studio, one of the employees assisted us in one of their guest rooms. We went inside and found out that Kevin was there and two other females who I think are make up artists. We sat down on the sofa in front of Kevin.

“Hello, since you are here, I wanted to tell you that you need to first have a photo shoot together.” He points at the two girls behind us and continues to say “They are your makeup artist. They were assigned to make you look good in front of the camera and the audience.”

We both looked at the two girls and smiled at them. The guy left and the makeup artist started to prepare us for the photo shoot.

When our make-up was finished we went to the studio. The set was already done and they are just waiting for us. Immediately we started posing for the camera. We are really enjoying what we are doing. We are laughing, making wacky faces, and doing some sweet poses.

We both were laughing when they told us to have a break fist. I immediately looked for Andy. I found him at the side of the director. His brows were on thin line, he was not looking happy at all. When I was about to approach him, he turned around and left the studio

I don’t know where he was going, so I just shrugged my shoulders and looked at the photos the photographer took.

The photo shoot resumed but Andy was still nowhere to be found when finally, the shoot ended. I went to grab my phone and started dialing his number. After a few rings he answered.

“Hello.” He said on the other line.

“Where are you? Why did you suddenly disappear?” I asked him curiously.

“I just went to get some fresh air. I will come back later, okay?” he said calmly.

“Just be sure to come back later.”

“Of course.” He then drops the call.

Just when I was about to got to the waiting area with Kevin, his manager appeared and said that his fans were waiting for him and wanted to take some pictures with him.

He looked at me and said “Is it okay?” He was asking permission and it made me blush a little.

I signaled him that he should go and that it was okay. He smiled at me and went out.

After an hour, someone from the studio informed us that the segment will start in a while. the make up artist retouches our makeup.

When they were done someone assisted us again going to the studio. I saw Andy rushing to my side and directly told me,

“I have a bad feeling about this. Don’t kiss him.”

“What? What are you saying? This is my chance to kiss him and be able to lift the curse. I will not do what you wanted! I will kiss him later.” I said firmly.

I don’t know what he was thinking. I wanted to be a normal person. I want to leave without the fear that my tails would suddenly appear. And the only way that the curse will be lifted is for me to kiss my one true love, and that is Kevin so why would he think that I will agree to what he was saying? Is he being serious?

the director asked the whole audience to prepare to start recording, “3, 2, 1, start rolling”.

 First, the host introduced my love story with Kevin. “Let’s introduce today’s guest, DJ Kevin and his beautiful savior. Miss Nina!”

 “How did they meet? It started two weeks ago. Kevin accidentally fell to Greenland because he took the faulty plane, and was miraculously seen by Miss Nina, who happened to visit Greenland.”

“Miss Nina didn’t hesitate to save him. “The host look at us then continue on her speech

 Later, a person familiar with the matter said that Miss Nina and Kevin were seen chatting together at the music festival, and they were talking and laughing, which may be fate! A few days ago, I believe everyone has seen the video of Kevin and Miss Nina on the Internet! Let’s take a look at their live performance today. With that, the host signaled to us that it was our turn to take the stage.

After coming on stage, Kevin and I looked at each other deeply. Singing our own love song. We were in our own world. Not minding who was watching us. I feel a deep connection with him.

The audience was very happy to see that the both of us were singing sweetly.

On the other side, Andy began to imagine that he was the one who stood on the stage and sang with Nina. It was not until they finished singing that he woke up from his thoughts and saw Kevin kissing Nina.

Kevin’s fans outside the shed began to scream when they saw their scene.

After the recording ended, Kevin was called away by his agent.

[Nina’s point of view]

When Kevin disappeared with his agent Andy went near me and ask “So, how was the kiss you have shared? Has the curse already been lifted?”

in order to see if the kiss really worked, I lifted my skirt a bit.

To our horror I saw that my legs were starting to change in tails again. I immediately lowered my skirt. What happened? Why did the true love kiss work? Is he really my one true love?

I looked at my fish tail in disappointment, then lift my eyes to Andy.

My heart was hurting, my eyes were wet, and I began to cry. I naively thought that the kiss of true love was the only solution, but now everything is messed up

Andy comforted me and said, “It’s okay, there must be other ways to solve the curse.”

After that, Kevin came over.

“Nina, some fans said they wanted to take a picture with you”, I didn’t speak, Wipe away my tears silently.

Kevin saw that there was something wrong with my eyes so he asked, “What’s wrong? Why did you cry? He seemed so worried.

“I went to him and said, “nothing, I was just emotional.”

I thought the kiss we shared will be the solution, that’s why I’m so disappointed.

Kevin asked me curiously what I wanted to change, but I ignored him, turned to Andy, and cried and begged him to take me home.

Andy saw me crying, and his heart was full of distress.

Kevin wanted to care about me, but I ignored him. After Andy knew what I meant, he asked Kevin to let me be alone for a while.

I complained to Andy unhappily, I regret not listening to him, I naively thought that with the kiss of true love, my fish tail would disappear.

I shouted angrily, “I don’t want to be a mermaid anymore, I want to be a human again.” At this time, the staff on the side were ready to go home, they just passed by Andy and me.

 Fortunately, Andy immediately reminded me to keep my voice down, otherwise others would really find out my secret.

I rolled my eyes and continued to say to Andy, “I think that Grandma is a liar at all, lying to me that I can become a normal person with a kiss of true love.”

 Andy looked at me thoughtfully. “Is it possible that the kiss of true love is just a trick played by Grandma? Or is it because that kiss you shared with him has no sincere friendship and is not from the heart? How can the curse be lifted if that’s the case?” After hearing that my anger ignited.

 “Why isn’t it from the heart? I love him!”

“But the question is, does he love you too?” Hearing this sentence, I paused, I started thinking about whether Kevin really loved me,

“Someone once said that, if you really love each other, you will think of him and tell him the truth.”

He paused and then continued to say,” If you really did love him, why didn’t you tell him the truth about the curse your grandma has given you? Did you really love him? If you just told him your secret and still accepted you, maybe he really did love you.” After that, Andy and I were silent for a while
