Mated to my sister’s ugly mate

After Little Alpha Dominic made his complaint, he instinctively touched his stomach. “Sister-in-law, when are you going to cook?”

“I’m not going to cook,” Shadow replied firmly.

Shadow turned around and went back to her room, feeling overwhelmed by the shock and surprise caused by Alpha Kilian. She had no appetite and didn’t feel like eating at all.

The previous night, she had stayed up late with Alpha Dominic at the internet cafe, leaving her too sleepy to think about food.

Alpha Kilian, however, wouldn’t let her off that easily. He even removed the bed from her room and discarded it. Since there was no furniture in the other rooms, she had no choice but to sleep in the master bedroom now.

Shadow refused to believe that Alpha Kilian could still control her life and dictate what she ate.

Upon returning to the bedroom, she discovered that Alpha Kilian was already gone.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Shadow took off her coat and climbed into bed, drifting into a deep sleep. When she finally woke up, it was already evening.

As hunger gnawed at her empty stomach, she made her way downstairs only to find an empty hall.

Hungry, she headed to the kitchen in search of food. She cooked some pasta for herself and was about to take it to the dining area when she heard Alpha Dominic’s cry from outside. “Shadow, I don’t want to go to school!”

Pausing briefly to eat two mouthfuls of burger, she cleaned up and made her way to the hall.

Inside, Alpha Dominic was in tears, clutching onto Alpha Kilian’s legs and refusing to let go.

However, there were no real tears on his face.

When Alpha Dominic saw Shadow coming out, he ran towards her and hugged her tightly, shouting, “I don’t want to go to school!”

Alpha Kilian approached with a cold expression. He grabbed Alpha Dominic and threw him aside, saying coldly, “Looking for her won’t help you. Since your aunt asked me to take care of you, I will make sure you learn your lesson.”

He placed emphasis on the word “education,” making Alpha Dominic’s scalp tighten.

“But you’re so young, you should be going to school. Why are you crying?” Shadow asked. She couldn’t blame Alpha Kilian entirely, as she had witnessed Alpha Dominic’s misbehavior firsthand.

To her surprise, Alpha Dominic’s behavior in front of Alpha Kilian was timid and fearful, like a mouse in the presence of a cat. He seemed to lack any ambition.

Alpha Dominic shook his head, looking at Shadow sadly. “You wouldn’t understand.”

Under Alpha Kilian’s “education,” Alpha Dominic was deprived of playing games and receiving pocket money. Alpha Kilian controlled every aspect of his life, predicting his desires and making sure he couldn’t have them. For Alpha Dominic, this life was like living in hell.

If he had known that returning to the country would result in being “taught a lesson” by Alpha Kilian, he would have never come back.

Alpha Dominic understood that he couldn’t change the fact that Alpha Kilian would continue to punish him, so he went upstairs.

With Alpha Dominic gone, Shadow turned back to the kitchen to resume eating her burger.

Alpha Kilian followed and delivered a warning. “In the future, no matter how pitiful Alpha Dominic pretends to be in front of you, don’t help him.”

Shadow sneered. “Oh, I won’t. After all, it’s all an act.”

She used to feel sorry for Alpha Kilian before, but now she had seen through his manipulative ways.

Alpha Kilian clearly detected the sarcasm in her words, causing his brow to furrow in displeasure. He believed that he was compensating for his previous deception, and didn’t consider himself unforgivable.

Ignoring Alpha Kilian, Shadow continued eating her burger, slowly and deliberately.

Alpha Kilian gave her a long look before walking away.

At night, after Shadow showered, she returned to her empty room. There was no sign of Alpha Kilian.

She changed into a modest nightgown and got into bed. Her mind was filled with thoughts of what Alpha Kilian might do if he approached her.

However, she didn’t have to wait until she fell asleep, as Alpha Kilian didn’t return to her room.

When she woke up the next morning, Shadow opened her eyes and attempted to roll over, only to realize that someone was holding onto her tightly. She was unable to move.

The familiar presence beside her confirmed that it was Alpha Kilian.

Gritting her teeth, Shadow removed Alpha Kilian’s arm from her body and quickly rolled to the other side of the bed, putting as much distance between them as possible.

Alpha Kilian, already awake, faced Shadow on his side, his disheveled hair and partially open pajama collar making him appear gentle and vulnerable in his sleep.

If Shadow hadn’t seen Alpha Kilian’s true face, she might have been fooled by his harmless demeanor.

Cautiously observing Alpha Kilian, she couldn’t figure out when he had returned to his room or how he had ended up sleeping beside her, holding her in his arms.

Alpha Kilian rolled off the bed, giving her a brief glance before his slightly hoarse voice carried a deeper meaning. “What’s the point of hiding when we’ve already slept together?”

Shadow couldn’t contain her anger and frustration, and threw a pillow at him.

Alpha Kilian skillfully caught the pillow, staying calm and collected. He then proceeded to the bathroom.

Breakfast consisted of burgers, as Alpha Dominic had requested.

Shadow didn’t feel like cooking, but Alpha Dominic pleaded pitifully, “Since both of us are being mistreated by Alpha Kilian, can you please make breakfast?”

Though she wanted to argue back, she couldn’t deny that Alpha Dominic had a point.

Reluctantly, she cooked three bowls of burgers.

Alpha Dominic took the lead, having a bowl in hand as he headed out. Shadow filled another bowl and brought over the salt shaker. She poured half a jar of salt into the bowl, stirring it slowly.

Satisfied with her handiwork, she brought the bowl to the dining area and placed it in front of Alpha Kilian.

Alpha Kilian, taken aback by Shadow cooking for him, looked at her with surprise.

Shadow wore a faint smile as she brought the burger to his lips and spoke gently, “Try the burger I made.”

Alpha Kilian looked up, noticing the excitement in her beautiful eyes.

Something was definitely off with this bowl of burgers.

Despite expecting a reaction from Alpha Kilian, Shadow couldn’t change the bowl before it was too late.

However, to her surprise, Alpha Kilian ate the burgers she fed him without any change in his expression. “It tastes good.”

Even if the burgers were over-seasoned and bitter, it still resembled the taste of the food his mother used to cook.

Alpha Kilian’s face remained emotionless. He took the forks from Shadow’s hands and continued to eat the burgers slowly.

Helpless, Shadow watched as he finished the whole bowl, his expression unchanged.

Alpha Kilian, who had “swallowed his anger” like this, seemed completely different from the Alpha Kilian who threatened her the day before.

Shadow looked at him with a complicated expression, then turned around to pour him a large glass of water.

Alpha Kilian accepted the glass and suddenly burst into laughter. A hint of smug triumph shone in his eyes.

Whether through tricks or pretending to be pitiful, Shadow was no match for him.

If she ever tried to seek revenge, he would allow her to succeed, playing along with her schemes.

But she was always too soft-hearted.

It was evident from her interactions with the Eden family.
