Chapter 167
"What's the matter?"
Mable glanced at Blair. He was looking at her strangely, as if he had something to say.
"Nothing."
Blair ruffled her hair and said hoarsely, "Sorry for worrying you again."
"There's no need to apologize. As long as you get better."
Blair only stared at her.
Mable finished putting medicine on his arms and checked the gunshot wound on his right hand.
Due to Vortex, his wound was constantly inflamed and could not fully heal. Now that the poison was removed, the inflammation quickly subsided. "Your gunshot wound is probably going to leave a scar."
Mable suddenly thought of the scar Blair got from blocking a bullet for her last time. It would be the second time he got injured for her.
Blair chuckled. He sounded unconcerned as he responded, "Wouldn't scars make a man look more handsome?"
Mable said without thinking, "You're handsome without scars!"
He would have plenty of fans if he became a celebrity or idol.
"Is that so?"
Blair stared at Mable with a smile. "Thanks for the compliment, Mabes."
Mable was startled. She could not believe what she said.
She cleared her throat and said, "Actually, you're not that handsome just slightly above average."
Blair raised his eyebrow and asked in jealousy, "What about compared to Rory? Who's more handsome?"
Mable's mouth twitched. 'What's there to compare between you?'
"How do you know about Rory?" Mable asked him in return.
She had wanted to ask Blair the last time he mentioned Rory.
Rory had been living a secluded life these past few years, and they had not seen each other for many years. As powerful as Blair was, he could not have found out about him through her. Furthermore, Rory had been keeping an extremely low profile. He never attended to business matters himself, so it would be incredibly difficult to look into him.
"I have my ways."
Blair observed Mable's expression. He asked after a pause, "You seem to be afraid of me knowing about him?"
Mable smiled faintly. "Not really. I just find it strange you think I like him."
Blair was stunned. "Isn't he the person you said you liked very much?"
'Did Rahman lie to me?
'Mable likes someone else?!'
Mable stayed silent.
Rory was indeed not the person she liked.
Nonetheless...
"It's him!" Mable said seriously.
While it was not Rory, it did not stop her from using him as a shield.
Otherwise, if Blair pursued this matter, she could not find anyone else to take the blame.
Mable stressed again, "He's the one I like!"
Blair could not find Rory anyway, so she wanted to keep the misunderstanding going.
"Then why aren't you together?" Blair asked hoarsely with narrowed eyes.
"l
each other.

me that way."
Blair fiddled with her hands and said casually, "In that case, why don't you consider being with me?"
"Blair, I told you that I only love him. I liked you when I lost my memory because I thought of you as him. I—"
Blair gripped her hand tightly and shouted coldly, "Enough!"
Mable had said it once. There was no need for him to hear it again.
Blair stared at her and said, "Mabes, forever is a long time. You might like more than one person. How would you know if you'd fall in love with me if you don't try?"
Mable pursed her lips. She sounded a little disappointed as she replied to him, "Yes, Blair, forever is a very long time, and one might like more than one person. For instance, you might like me now, but you might also like someone else in the future." Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Blair frowned. 'Ha, you've learned to use my words against me.' "See? You have nothing to say, right? You don't actually like me that—Mmph!" Before Mable could finish, Blair suddenly pinched her chin and kissed her hard.
