Max was about to reveal Julian’s identity when a commotion erupted behind him. “Dale is here!” someone shouted. Vivian turned around and saw Dale arriving with Katherine in tow.

Katherine quickly walked to her mother’s side. “Mom, I heard your voice just now. What were you talking about? Why were you shouting so ily?”

Vivian’s face turned red with anger, but she couldn’t say much more with Dale behind her. “Think carefully. If anything happens, I won’t let you off!” she hissed the warning under her breath.
