Marrying my high school bully

The dinner

Dexter

“I thought that this meeting would never hold,” Emilia chirped as she jumped into the passenger car beside me. “I guess everyone needs to learn the art of persistence, after all.” She giggled, while I snorted loudly and interrupted the next thing she had to say.

“You can decide to be quiet throughout this journey. It won’t be a crime, trust me.” I grunted, angry that I had to be beside her when Lorraine and I were supposed to be celebrating.

The show was a huge success and even though it wasn’t the main event, we were having a lot of deals according to the sales department report.

Victoria buzzed in from behind us, “Don’t be too harsh on my friend, Dex. She didn’t force you to make a promise.”© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

I slanted a questioning look at Emilia who quickly showed me a zipped lip sign. A sigh escaped my lips as I started the engine. If I found out that she said any word about our conversation to anyone, not only would the deal be off, but I’d deal with her.

The drive to the restaurant was fast because of how eager I was to get away from her. Having the both of them in my car didn’t always bode well for me.

“I won’t be joining you guys, Dex. I’m sleeping over at a friend’s place so you can pull over and drop me here.” Victoria requested.

I quickly did as she asked. Other elder brothers would have been worried that she was already sleeping around barely a few days after returning to the city, but I was a bit nonchalant because of how overbearing she was.

Her house was almost ready and I couldn’t wait for her to leave. “Alright then.” I pulled over and she got off, giving Emilia and I all the privacy I didn’t want.

“We’re almost there.” I announced, having the restaurant in sight.

I’d never been here before but word had it that they prepared nice Italian dishes. Taking her to my favourite restaurant felt too personal for me, I only wanted to take one woman there and that was Lorraine.

The parking lot was almost full but I was lucky to find a good space. While I was focused on parking the car properly, Emilia’s hand dropped onto my thigh in a suggestive manner.

She was smirking when I trained an icy gaze at her. “We could have a quickie right here and no one would know.” She ran her tongue over her lower lips, and slowly drew her already short dress up her thighs so that I could have a good view of them.

If she thought that I’d have a boner for what I’d already rejected a long time ago then she was a big joker. The only reason we were seated in the car was because of Lorraine. I wanted to protect her even when I shouldn’t.

It was crazy of me, but like I told her, I was the only one who could hurt her and I knew how well too, not like this.

I dragged in a deep breath, reining my discomfort as her well manicured fingers reached for my crotch. Lorraine’s fingers were beautiful even without any fixed nails.

“Are you ready for dinner?” I asked in a bored tone and jumped out of the car before she could reply.

Seeing that I wouldn’t open her side of the door, she came out as well, sulking. I sent a message to Samuel, one of my men who I’d asked to keep watch on Lorraine.

I couldn’t get over this feeling that her life was in danger and she needed to be protected. If she found out that she had a stalker, all hell would let loose and the purpose wouldn’t be achieved.

A beep followed that got me worried.

‘I haven’t seen her yet, boss, but I’d keep looking.’

Worry filled me instantly as we made our orders. If she saw me walk off with Emilia then she would really be angry that anyone after her would take advantage of her loneliness.

I didn’t even want to think about the consequences.

‘Then keep looking, damn it!’ I replied in frustration.

“For someone who agreed to take me out for dinner, you don’t seem to have my time.” She drawled, dug into the mashed potatoes in front of her and let out a moan. “Mmmm, this is just as soft as my body.”

I ignored her and continued to wonder where Lorraine could be at this time of the night.

“Can you stop that? It’s really disgusting.” I lashed out at her, scowling.

When she saw the mean look on my face, she adjusted on her chair and rolled her eyes. “I’ve never seen you so devoted to someone. You even walked with her on the stage, that was something else.” She chirped, acting like she was happy though her eyes said something else.

It was obvious that she was trying to get words out of my mouth, but I was five steps ahead of her. “Lorraine is talented and graceful. She doesn’t need to make much effort to pull attention to herself so I’m not surprised with the outcome today.” A smile tugged at my lips.

Emilia cleared her throat, dropping her fork. “When you talk about this woman, your eyes light up in a way I’ve never seen. What does she have that I don’t?”

“A lot.” I replied briefly.

“Oh, so she’s not just your maid, you also service her?” She arched her brow with a mischievous grin while I relaxed on the chair.

If she was expecting me to spring to my feet and pull her hair for making assumptions then she didn’t know me at all. Well, I actually sprang to my feet, but it was for a good reason.

“I’ve fulfilled my own end of the bargain so make sure you do the same as well. The bills have already been taken care of. Do not bother me again.” I said curtly as she got up as well with a knowing smile.

She folded her arms, pushing up her cleavage which seemed to be more interested in spilling out of her dress. “You’re searching for Lorraine?”

My eyes widened. “How do you know that?” I growled.

“You’ve been acting like a father whose daughter is on a curfew, checking your phone and all. Well, I just know who she might be with presently.” She chuckled and pulled her seat backward so she could close the distance between us.

My fists were clenching and I was having a hard time controlling my temper. She’d better not be playing with me. “Who?”

“A man…”

“Don’t waste my time, Emilia.” I snarled as she laughed loudly, her voice mocking and sultry.

I wasn’t bothered with people seeing us because I’d asked for a private space. I couldn’t risk getting into the eyes of social media again.

She glanced around and shrugged. “You know what I want, Dex, no one will barge in on us. I really want you,” She croaked, reaching for my jacket.

My phone beeped and immediately I reached for my phone, reading the message from Samuel with a broad smile. “Thank you for your help, Emilia. Have a good night,” I smirked, leaving her to drown in her gobsmacked horny state.
