Marry into Money by Accident

Chapter 44

Chapter 44

Lianne prepared the ingredients and set the pan on the stove. Then, she cooked the pork and added a

bit of every seasoning.

It did not take long for the first half of the cooking to be done.

Lianne boiled a pot of water and dumped diced potatoes into the boiling water. She then mashed the

potato, adding milk and butter for a nice creamy texture.

She first laid the meat in a tray before coating the top layer with mashed potatoes. The food was now

ready for the oven.

Mrs. Cook watched with her jaw dropped.

Few girls knew how to cook, and even fewer were good at it. A beautiful girl like Lianne with great.

cooking skills was a rare find.

The cottage pie was mouthwatering to Mrs. Cook. “Ms. Simpson, your husband is a lucky man to have

married such a multi-talented girl.”

Not wanting to talk about her bonus husband, Lianne changed the subject. “I made enough for three.

Would you like to try some, Mrs. Cook?”

Mrs. Cook was over the moon. “Oh, you made some for me too. Let me know what you added to the

minced meat. I want to try making it myself one of these days.”

“Sure. A lot of people can make cottage pie, but I made mine with my granny’s secret recipe. You can’t

find this in other restaurants.”

Mrs. Cook adorably rubbed her palms together. “All the more I should learn from you.”

Zane walked into the house and sniffed the smell of breakfast. It was unlike the ones he had

before.

Stirred by the scent, he picked his head up and looked at Lianne and Mrs. Cook chatting in the

kitchen.

His gaze fell on Lianne’s slender back as a thought struck him.

If only he could see this view every day when he opened his eyes…

Mrs. Cook took notice of Zane. “Zane, fancy having cottage pie for breakfast?”

Zane was not one to have a heavy meal in the morning. “Nah.”

Mrs. Cook glanced at Lianne, and Lianne whispered, “I’ll have two portions since he’s not having any.”

By the time Lianne looked back, Zane was dressed in his regular white shirt and black pants. However,

all she could see was his abs.

She immediately shook her head in an attempt to shake those improper thoughts away.

At the dinner table, Zane had a nutritional breakfast. While it was healthy, the food was pretty bland.

Two plates of cottage pie were set in front of Lianne. Not only did the food smell good, but it tasted

even better too.

Zane watched as Lianne dug into the first plate while the second plate was placed right in front of her.

For someone with a tiny frame, she sure ate a lot in the morning. It seemed more than a hearty meal.

“Are both plates yours?”

Lianne nodded her head. “Yeah. I made the cottage pie myself. I didn’t want it to go to waste, so I’m

having both portions.”

Zane was without a word, but his eyes were glued to the untouched plate in front of her.

Getting the message, Lianne probingly asked, “Mr. Atlas, would you care for a taste?”

Zane thought she would never ask. “Alright.”

Lianne slid the plate toward him. “Here you go, Mr. Atlas.”

Zane took a bite out of it. Since he was rather picky with food, he was known not to take another bite if

it did not suit his taste buds.

Lianne was pleased when Zane cleaned his plate.

He must approve of her cooking. “Mr. Atlas, I’m a good cook, aren’t I?” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Although her cooking could not beat that of a professional chef, he was not stingy on the praise, with

those dewy eyes expecting a compliment.

“Thank you for the compliment.” Lianne carried a sincere smile the whole morning after being

complimented for her cooking.

After finalizing the birthday celebration proposal with the corporate event planner, Lianne handed Zane

the tablet. “Mr. Atlas, take a look and see if there’s anything to change.”

Zane took the tablet while Lianne tended next to him. The pair were seated pretty close to each other

by the bar.

Mrs. Cook looked at the two from afar. The man and woman were aesthetically pleasing to the

eye.

For a fleeting moment, Mrs. Cook wished Lianne was the lady of the house. Pity, though…

“I’m back, Zane!” Following a young voice interrupting the afternoon peace, a pretty girl came into sight.

The girl bore a bright smile, but her expression grimaced when she saw a woman beside Zane. She

immediately pointed at Lianne and jumped at her throat. “You shameless b*tch! You have some nerve

to show your face here!”
