◕April◕

So that was all that happened last night.

It wasn’t like I have feelings for him or anything.

Well, I asked him to leave, and he’s left already.

Though it wasn’t necessary, I separated my secretary from the post of being my PA, unlike Anderson.

Carrying out jobs considering this was a cosmetic company cum factory wasn’t easy and I made sure nobody worked too heavily.

I even increased the lunch break to an hour, and the productivity increased, unlike when the lunch break was just 40 minutes.

If others are surviving with a secretary cum PA, I’ll survive too.

My gaze shifted when I noticed movement outside in front of me.

I looked and saw Sharon already up from her desk seat and walking towards my office.

As formality demanded, she rang up the bell fixed beside the door on the wall and when I pushed a small remote control, the door opened and she came in.

“Anything up?” I asked before she could even reach my desk.

“Yes. Your meeting with Mr. Lee is in about 8 minutes.” Sharon reminded.

“Oh yeah… That! I forgot.” I twitched my lips.

“I’ll go get dressed up. If Mr. Lee arrives before I’m done, entertain him for a while.” I ordered.

“Yes miss,” Sharon replied and walked back out to her desk.

April walked into her office toilet and went through another door inside it.

Closing the door behind her, she stood awhile to admire the sight she’s seen over thousand times – her office walk-in closet.

She took some steps forward and faced the clothes she had brought from Green wears and stocked inside.

Some of them were gifts from her Dad, some were the ones she’d bought with her own money from other popular brands.

But ever since the day she started running Green wears, she made sure her office walk-in closet was 67% made up of Green Clothes.

April walked to the vanity at the side of the closet, sat down on the chair, picked up a face wipe, and cleaned her makeup off.

According to her, ‘A change of clothes deserves a change of makeup.’

April looked at the clothes she was putting on now and sighed.

“Time to change you Hunny.”

She quickly pulled the clothes off, and t blue jeans, a black thin singlet, and a sea blue coat jacket off their hangers to match.

Her dress sense was high, so it wasn’t a shock to people when she was spotted on their TV screens, billboards, and magazines modeling for her brand on several occasions when need be.

She modeled for other different brands too, but it was seldom.

She couldn’t have other brands make money using her face more than her brand.

April glanced at her wristwatch.

“Only four more minutes to spare. I can’t do thick makeup.” She muttered bitterly.

Quickly grabbing her makeup brushes and powder, she applied makeup to her face, and soon she was done. It was light makeup anyway.

April traced her fingertips over the long line of lipsticks in their stacks. She settled for a light pink one and applied it gently to her lips.

Looking at herself in the vanity’s mirror, she smiled and her dimples came into sight.

She was so wonderful at making up, well… She ran a cosmetic company, she should know how to apply makeup well.

She looked so beautiful, even without thick makeup and she couldn’t stop staring at herself in the mirror.

She admired herself far too much, and she could stay looking at herself in a mirror for the entire day, but she’s got a client to deal with.

Throwing one more glance at herself in the mirror, she walked out of the closet with a pair of black velvet stiletto heels on her clinking as she trotted away.

She spotted Sharon leading Mr. Lee to her office and she smiled.

“I’m right on time”

April smirked.

Sharon rang up the bell and I let her, well practically the both of them in.

April started walking toward Mr. Lee and met him halfway.

“Welcome to Green cosmetics, Mr. Lee.” April greeted and managed to place a smile on her lips.

She wished she wouldn’t have to treat this old man sweetly, but as a CEO of a flourishing company, she had no choice but to.

“Thank you, Miss Green. You’re doing a great job here, It’d be depressing if I don’t say you’ve transformed this place.”

Mr. Lee complimented as he sat down on one of the sofas arranged in a box shape in the middle of April’s office.

April chuckled and placed her palms in front of her mouth to hide the blush that wasn’t even there.

“You flatter me, sir.”

“Flatter? I’m now an old man, surely I don’t know how to flatter young beautiful ladies like you. I’m simply telling the truth.”

“Who told you you’ve aged?” April asked with a fake shock on her face.

“You don’t think I am?” Mr. Lee grinned.

“Surely I don’t. In reality, you’re still young and vibrant” April lied.

One of her jobs was to flirt a little with her male big investors or buyers (goods).

Inside her, she was screaming.

‘Yes man, you’re old. You should be fucking dead by now idiot’

“Would you marry me if I asked then?”

Mr. Lee flirted.

April huffed.

This man was sickly unbelievable.

She? gets married to an old wasted fool like him in the middle of her career?

Never!

“I think we’ve joked enough sir,” April stated her lips thinned tightly together.

“Awwww… Already?” the old geezer asked.

“Yes. And I think we should go to why you’re here.” April firmly said.

“OK then.” Mr. Lee replied.

“Coffee or tea?” April asked.

“Tea please.” Mr. Lee answered and April picked up the telephone by her side and rang up Sharon’s desk.

“Make us a cup of tea and coffee each.”

“OK miss.”
