Eve’s POV

“One more year to get out of college and make this course serve as my side occupation” I sighed tiredly after lectures that day.

“Same here, it’s definitely gonna serve as a side occupation” Helen agreed with me.

Yeah we already have a main job waiting for us out there.

“Uhm, well… and as for me, it’s gonna be my main occupation. Gosh I worked really hard for this” Janet said.

“I’m so happy for you Janet, you would be a graduate in only few months time” I said and she smiled.

Okay.. so here in college, we usually stay together except if our partners are around though.

We walked together and Helen sudden recieved a phone call and she exclaimed into the phone;

“Really? What??”

“Is something wrong?” I asked her when she ended the call.

“Yes Eve.. we have to get home quickly. Someone broke into our apartment” Helen told us.

“What?” I exclaimed.

I don’t get why Janet do not look really surprised though, she also exclaimed ‘What?’ after me.

“Our close neighbour called and she said the rogue claim to be acquainted with us” Helen added.

“Janet are you expecting anyone?” I looked at her and she shook her head.

“Let’s be quick about it” I walked ahead of them.

Andrew still being my loyal driver, drove us down to my apartment.

Surprisingly we met Liam instead, standing right in front of the apartment. He smiled when he saw me rushed out of the car.

“Liam? What are you doing here?” I asked.

“To see you of course” He said, walking towards me before I got to where he was.

“Then the neighbors must have gotten the wrong idea, you won’t believe that someone just called Helen and said you broke into the house; as if they do not know you or was anyone here?” I asked and he shook his head.

I sighed in relief and hit his chest..”You are so fond of surprise visits” I said and he smiled.

Oops! It was just now it drawn to me that Helen and Janet didn’t say anything ever since we arrived here.

I turned to the back to look at them, I was shocked to see Helen was holding a bouquet of red flowers while Janet was with white beautiful petals.

“What’s going on? Where did you get that from?” I asked, confusedly but Helen handed it over to me while Janet sprayed the petals on me.

“Now look at Liam” They gestured.

I turned, only to see Liam on one kneels with an open little silver box and there was a golden ring it in. I was shocked! Ah! yes he really meant it when he said he want us to take things to the next level.

“Will you marry me Eve?” He proposed.

“Yes! Yes” I screamed before he might even add more proposal quote. I showed my finger which he then slid the ring and it fit so perfectly. Then I jumped into his arms. When we disengaged from the hug, we kissed in front of everyone.

Helen and Janet clapped and celebrated us.

Oh gosh I was blushing heavily.

“Congratulations Eve” They said to me.

“I deserve a congratulations too” Liam said..

“Yeah congratulations to you too, Liam you are getting married to the sweetest girl in the whole world” Janet told him and I smiled.

“Both of you are so so compatible” Helen added.

Barely did I know when the neighbors and other people came to rejoice with me. Yaay! I no longer have a boyfriend but a fiance now.

His marriage proposal earned me more fame.. like who doesn’t know Liam Maya! Oh My God, I can not believe that I am properly taking his last name too.

The news spread like fireflies, his brother, Robert, I told my father and even madam Theresa, it’s funny how Madam Theresa said that she saw this coming. Like how? ‘cos when I knew Liam for the first time, I never saw myself being in his arms but everything suddenly changed in a tinkle of an eye.

I told Liam, that I’ld love to get wedded to him when I have graduated from the college and he agreed that he was forever ready to wait for me.

And since it was just a year wait, soon the wedding preparation started already.

Liam informed and invited his father about it, sad thing Mr Maya said he is not sure if he would be present on the day but he sent his blesses and wishes. It’s a great day, everyone would be there but why won’t he be there? No, It’s high time he comes back to us.

We printed out the invitation cards, I reached out to my friends and colleagues at work. Jeez they were so surprised that the reason why I took years break from work was because of college. They thought I was already a graduate and that’s because I didn’t tell them everything about what’s going on in my life because we were mere colleagues., Office friends which means whatever I may tell them might get to the ears of other workers. Besides, I’m pretty secretive.

They were happy for me though and they promised to be present on the D-Day.

Whoever we invited also invited another person.. so we should literally be expecting the whole world to be present on the D-Day.

Mark’s girlfriend is so cool, when the invitation got to her; she teased me to tell her how I got Liam to propose to me simply because she can’t wait to forever be together with Mark.

Janet and Helen helped me in picking a very beautiful sparkling white wedding gown.

These two also argued on who would be the bride’s best maid between the two of them. Janet stated her own reasons why she should be the chosen as my bride best maid and she alone would walk with me to the alter while Helen also gave her own reasons. I was overjoyed that I even forgot everything I passed through; well, i’m glad I met Liam.. I don’t really regret our relationship even though the road wasn’t smooth from the onset. Yet love kept us together, I’m so excited he kept to his promise about moving the dating relationship to the next level; which is marriage. I trusted him too.

Spinster night was lit with Janet, Helen, Jasmine, Maria and Daisy.. they invited their closest female friends too.

Gosh! That night started with an interview. Helen has always been ready to bombard me with those teasy questions of hers… which I answered and said the truth anyways.

Teases like asking me~ who fell in love first? when we had our first kiss? our first s*x ..?

Maria and Daisy were surprised when I told them we had s*x in the office.. infact, they all were.

They continues teasing me about how we are definitely gonna have sex over and over again in the office.

Well no one is gonna use anything against me and I don’t care if it gets to the ears of other people in the office.

Afterall, we are still their boss and speaking of being a boss; I don’t wanna work in the office as an ordinary secretary anymore but the CEO’s wife.
