As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I shocked myself as to what this Alice was trying to do.

Scarlette looked over at me, “Are you … afraid Alice is in contact with Steven?”

I gave Scarlette a breathless look, she really is a bit slow on the brain circuitry to follow my train of thought.

My lips are trembling a bit, that’s what I’m worried about, she’s with Robert, but she’s in contact with Steven, and she’s coming to my place to stir up trouble, what does she want? It’s not as simple as her wanting to get back at Sherry.
