Chapter 11 You Jerk
Noon.
Kalinda Agos went to the hospital for a check-up and decided to visit her son in the Neurosurgery Department.
Before she reached the door to Edmond's office, she saw a blushing girl coming out of his office shyly. Then the girl quickly made a phone call.
"I did it! I did it! Dr. Agos accepted the beef salad I made and agreed to go on a date with me this weekend! Ohh!!! I finally got him!"
Kalinda raised her eyebrows.
After the girl left, she pushed open the door and saw her son eating a beef salad packed in a cute cartoon lunch box. It was obviously from that girl.
"Edmond, what is wrong with you? You have such a good woman at home, but you don't know how to appreciate and cherish her. Instead, you are out there fooling around and taking anyone who comes along. You're really driving me crazy!"
Edmond handed his mother the fork and salad box. He looked up at her and said, "Mother, have you had lunch? Would you like to try it?"
Kalinda was furious.
"You're married and yet you know nothing about manners. You dare to eat the food other girls bring you? Aren't you afraid she might add some 'extra ingredients'?"
"Mother, no one but you would add 'extra ingredients' for me."
Kalinda was speechless.
She pressed her temple, took a few deep breaths, and finally calmed herself and said, "I finally understand why Licia doesn't like you. You're a jerk. You've already got one wonderful woman, but you still want more. Even to me, your own mother, you want to abandon."
Edmond casually changed the subject, "The fluorescent stickers on my bedroom ceiling, was that your idea?"
"Yes. What do you think? Doesn't it create a special atmosphere at night?"
"No... It's too green... Too frigid and weird..." NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
"I'll have someone remove it later..."
The beef salad in the cartoon lunchbox was almost finished by Edmond, causing Kalinda to get a little annoyed.
"What do you think of Licia, Edmond? I remember you were quite nice to her when you were in college. Why don't you care about her anymore? Let me tell you, Licia is not interested in you anymore. If you don't make an effort to win her heart and if you keep playing around, one day she will divorce you and you will have to swallow the consequences."
Edmond closed the lunch box lazily, making a nonchalant sound.
"What's with this attitude? I was hoping for you two to have a baby, but now... God! Why is it so hard for me to be a grandmother?"
Kalinda continued to complain about her son.
Edmond slowly leaned back in his chair and tapped his desk a few times. Then he suddenly asked, "Boy or girl?"
"Huh?"
Edmond smiled faintly and asked his mother with beaming eyes, "Do you want a grandson or a granddaughter?"
Kalinda regained her composure and smiled.
"Either way works!"
...
After a short nap, Alicia went to work.
She wasn't in the best of moods and was a bit irritable. Normally, she would be mocked and criticized by her colleagues during meetings, but today she took charge and confidently confronted a few senior staff members with sharp words.
Everyone was stunned by Alicia's dominant presence.
After the meeting, attendees expressed their astonishment and gossiped behind her back.
"Does she really think she's the real Mrs. Agos?"
"I wonder how much influence she has over Mr. Agos!"
It was time to leave the office.
Alicia was too exhausted, so she decided to leave on time. Considering the dangers of driving while tired, she called for a ride. But as she stepped out of the gate of the building, she saw a shiny silver
Lamborghini parked outside.
The license plate read "DREA," which stood for Dr. Edmond Agos. It was quite conspicuous.
It was Edmond's car.
As soon as Alicia recognized the vehicle, the convertible top opened. The man behind the wheel, wearing sunglasses, smiled at her.
Of course, Alicia didn't believe that Edmond himself would pick her up from work. She instinctively turned her head to see an elegant figure in pink walking out of the building. Then Alicia raised an eyebrow in relief.
"Ed, why didn't you tell me you were coming to pick me up?! Gee!"
Alicia couldn't help but cringe at her flirtatious tone and voice.
As many people looked over, Diane gracefully opened the passenger door of the sports car and got in.
After closing the door, she feigned surprise and looked at Alicia, who was waiting for her ride on the side of the road, and asked, "Oh, Ms. Casey? What a coincidence, are you leaving work too?"
Alicia's eyes fell on Diane's flat breasts. She smiled sweetly and replied, "Well, what a coincidence! Your breasts are still two different sizes today.
Hearing this, Diane felt like she was cracking up...
