Chapter 3249 A Royal Birth
In the heart of Montiria Palace, Gadel paced nervously outside the queen's chamber. The agonizing wails of childbirth pierced the air, each cry a dagger to his heart. He glanced at Elder Wynter, the palace's wise old sage. "Elder Wynter, are you sure you don't need to check on her? I'm about to go bonkers!"
Wynter sighed. "Gadel, childbirth is a natural process. We even suggested a painless cesarean, but you insisted on Fiorenna's choice." Gadel's worry was evident. "I just want her to be safe."
Wynter reassured him, "As long as there's no excessive bleeding, it's just a matter of enduring the pain. Trust me, I've seen this many times." Though reassured, Gadel couldn't shake his anxiety.
Creak.
The door creaked open, and a midwife emerged, carrying a basin of blood-stained water. She quickly replaced it with a fresh basin of warm water and hurried back inside. Gadel's eyes widened. "How is the queen?" he asked, his voice trembling.
"Your Majesty, the baby's head is stuck, but we're doing our best," the midwife replied before disappearing back into the chamber, leaving Gadel staring at the closed door. A wry smile tugged at Gadel's lips. His unborn child was already causing trouble.
Just then, a soldier approached, his expression serious. Gadel knew something sensitive and important was amiss.
Glancing once more at the closed door, Gadel stepped aside, and the soldier followed. After ensuring they were alone, the soldier spoke in a low voice. "Your Majesty, the former queen, Arabella, who was exiled to the cold palace by the late King Gawain I, has been acting suspiciously. Should we..." This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
The soldier didn't finish his sentence, but Gadel understood. Long ago, Arabella had deceived King Gawain I and was consequently banished and left out in the cold. Since Gadel's ascension to the throne, he had been too preoccupied with consolidating his power to deal with her, who had since faded from the minds of most in Montiria.
A decision weighed on Gadel's mind. He could order Arabella's execution. He pondered for a moment, then shook his head. "Increase her guard, but avoid unnecessary bloodshed," he decided. "Let's not add to the chaos, my son's birth is imminent." "Yes, Your Majesty," the soldier replied, bowing as he left.
All of a sudden, the sound of a baby's cry filled the air. Wah-Wah!!
Gadel's face lit up with pure joy, his body moving in a blur as he rushed toward the chamber. Standing at the door, Gadel couldn't contain his happiness- he had finally become a father.
His eyes sparkled with anticipation. Would his child be a boy or a girl? Would his child be chubby and adorable?
Creaaak! The door opened once more.
"Congratulations, Your Majesty! Princess Fiorenna has given birth to a prince," the midwife smiled when announced.
"Hahaha! Excellent! Go to the

treasury and claim your reward-ten thousand Montirian Ducats each!" Gadel's, booming laughter echoed through the palace as he generously rewarded the midwives. The pain and anxiety of the past hours seemed to fade away.
