Chapter 11
“I’m going.” While checking the phone and wallet in my jeans before leaving.
Dante was sitting languidly on the couch while scrolling on his smartphone.
“Okay. Let’s go.” He stood and walked towards the door. My eyes widened at his intention.
“Wait, wait. Hold up, hold up.” His hand stopped midair while reaching the doorknob. “What are you doing?”
“I’m driving you to the mall.” I eyed him in disbelief. He sighed. “Come on. Your dress is waiting for you.”
“Why?”
“Because I have nothing to do. Now, come on before I drag that ass of yours.”
The guy might be extremely annoying and I’ll definitely feel uncomfortable if he’s going to follow me around while I choose my dress, it’s still convenient though that he’s driving me.
“Why do you look so happy?” I looked at him like he was crazy. He was acting weird because he’s always not in the mood. Did he finally capture the culprit he talked about?
Coincidentally, the light turned red making us stop. He then faces me. “What? Is it a sin to be happy?”
“It doesn’t suit your face.” He glares. “That suits your face.”
He then smirks mischievously. “I was just thinking of last night. How you were so sexy taking over every bit of my sanity.”
I scoffed. “Oh you mean how I manipulated you so I could go to the mall today?”
“Amore, I would have let you tie me to the bed or punch me in the face so you could escape. But that’s after our mind blowing sex of course. Seriously, I wouldn’t mind. I have a feeling you’re soaking pussy would have sucked the life out of my cock.”
I facepalmed. “Oh my god.” I muttered. “Will you shut up for once? You’re always talking about sex.” I exclaimed.
“I would’ve shut up if you let me have a taste of you.” He reasoned out with a scoff.
“You’re incorrigible.”
“After last night, I am satisfied for now. Your incessant grind made me cum so that’s enough for now.” I eyed him in disbelief. He said it as if it was a normal day to day activity. I mean it is maybe for normal couples but we are far from that. He’s an idiot mafia boss who’s sexually frustrated.
When the light turned green, he sped off, making sure the grin on his face stayed there.
I don’t know if it’s a bad idea that I let him let me make out with him. Oh, god. What did I get myself into?
—
We’re already on our fifth store since we arrived at the mall. It’s been hours and I couldn’t choose a dress right when Dante is annoying the hell out of me. He keeps bothering me. He keeps choosing weird clothes for me. If the outfit isn’t goofy weird like it was owned by a grandmother, he’d suggest a revealing dress. One that would pop out the boobs and ass. He’d tease me and keep on making random conversation and I’d lose my focus on finding my dress.
All I want is to find a simple dress for the party. That’s it.
I glared at Dante while picking the random dress from the rack and walked towards the changing room. I could feel him smirking behind me while watching me leave.
Before I could reach the changing room, a guy approached me. He was young, almost my age. Maybe younger. He looks cute and friendly. He looked like one of the staff of the boutique. My guess was right when he introduced himself.
“Hello, ma’am. Is there anything I can help you with? I’m William, one of the staff here.” He gave me a charming smile.
“Oh, thanks.” I looked around to find Dante’s presence. Fortunately, I didn’t see him. I don’t care where he went. I’m just happy that he’s out of my hair and finally have the time to myself. “Can you help me find a dress, William? I just picked this random dress. I don’t know if this will suit me.”
“What kind of dress are you looking for?” He mused as he studied me.
“Oh, just casual. My friends and I are going to a club this weekend. Just something that’ll fit that vibe.”
“I see. I’ll show you the best dresses we have. Before that, do you want to see how you look in that dress? I mean, it’s just me saying but I think you will rock that dress.”
I raised the dress that I once folded on my arm. I didn’t check before picking it because I was so annoyed by Dante. I picked it up, finding a reason to leave him. Surprisingly, the dress I randomly picked was very sexy. It was black and had a plunging neckline. The back was bare, ending only just inches above the butt. From the looks of it, it will reach my mid-thigh.
Okay. I did manage to get a really gorgeous hot dress.
After changing, I went out of the room to show William how I look with the dress. His eyes bulged when he saw me. His jaw dropped as he gave me a stunned look.
I giggled. “You’re exaggerating.” I joked before he could even comment with how I looked. I twirled around and finally faced the huge mirror.
“You look hot. Are you single? Cause damn.”
I laugh at his remark. He sounded more like he was joking rather than flirting. “I think I don’t need your help after all.”
“I think you needed my opinion. Damn girl, buy that dress.” He said sassily like a girl which made me laugh. “You need heels for that? I could show you where we display our stilettos.”
“No, it’s okay. I think I have one that’s really really perfect for this.” I twirled around again.
“You honestly look really really good. You’ll be turning heads the minute you walk inside the club.”Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
I laugh again. “I’ll make sure to give you extra tips for this.” I winked at him which he returned a laugh.
“Thank god.” He placed his hand over his chest while sighing in relief.
After changing back to my outfit, William led me to the counter and assisted me with the payment. The guy was fun to talk to. He threw a lot of jokes which made me laugh nonstop. He flirts with me and surprisingly, it wasn’t the annoying kind of flirt.
“Thanks for helping me, William. I mean for a short time, I had fun shopping.” William walked me towards the exit. I thanked him for assisting me. Although it was his job after all, I had a good time talking to him. I’ve completely forgotten about my aggravation towards Dante.
“You’re welcome, Hailynn.” He was rubbing his neck while blushing. He was confident not long ago and now, he’s acting all shy. “Listen, I know I was joking but I’m kind of serious about taking you out…” He suddenly trailed off, shyness replaced with trepidation. I noticed that his sight went directly behind me. I frowned at his sudden change of behaviour.
“William?” I called his attention.
“Yeah… ah.” His attention returned to me. “S-sorry.”
“What did you wanna say to me?”
“I wanted to ask you out-”
“Did you not get the hint, coglione?!” A growl made me jump off my spot.
