Chapter 89 Arrival
Chapter 89 Arrival
They arrived at the hotel.
Kevin and Lisa sent Anastasia to the door of the room.
"Ms. Graves, you are injured now. Maybe you should go home and rest first. Mr. Derek Graves is
worried about you."
Anastasia smiled and glanced at her arm.
"Tomorrow's meeting is very important. I'll leave the day after tomorrow, and you stay for the two days
after that."
Originally, Derek wanted to bring her back immediately, but she was able to convince him to let her stay
for an extra day after spending quite a lot of effort.
The itinerary that was originally planned could not be messed up halfway.
Kevin responded, "I'll have your dinner delivered to your room later."
"Okay."
Anastasia did not refuse. After all that ups and downs, she was really hungry.
Lisa happily went to buy a lot of local snacks and came back. Anastasia tasted some after taking a
bath.
When she was about to go to sleep, she saw a message from Jaxon.
[See you tomorrow.]
He had always been a man of few words. This meant that he was here too.
Anastasia did not reply. She put away the phone and got ready to sleep.
On the next day, during the meeting, Anastasia covered up the injury on her arm by wearing a neat
coat.
She sat in the front row. As the only woman in the front row, she naturally attracted a lot of attention.
Christian was sitting on her right side, probably a seat specially arranged by him.
In the venue, Christian looked at Anastasia's delicate and bright face from the side. He could not put
his emotions into words, but his heart just kept on softening.
In the rather solemn venue, everyone could only hear the speeches of the people on the stage.
However, Christian's mind was elsewhere. He kept on wanting to turn his head to look at the woman
next to him.
Anastasia did not even blink and turned a blind eye to his gaze. She just stared at the people on the
stage and smiled.
They all had a cup of water beside them, and Anastasia did not touch it.
After a while, Christian ordered a few words to the assistant behind him, and the assistant quickly
brought a cup of coffee over.
Christian did not drink it himself but handed it to Anastasia instead.
This scene instantly attracted the attention of the people behind them.
They all knew the relationship between Christian and Anastasia.
However, given how much fuzz it caused online, they thought the two of them were at each other's
throats. However, Christian never lifted his eyes from Anastasia and now even offered her coffee.
Anastasia did not respond, but Christian did not take his hand back either.
After a few seconds of stalemate like this, she found that even the people speaking on the stage
slowed down and paid attention to them.
Anastasia pursed her lips and casually took the coffee from Christian's hand. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
Christian's brows and eyes instantly softened a bit.
See, she was clearly touched!
As long as he persisted, she would see his sincerity sooner or later.
Seeing this small hiccup that lasted only a few minutes, all kinds of gossip had already appeared in
everyone's minds.
After a while, the meeting came to a break.
Many people quickly surrounded Christian to exchange greetings.
Anastasia took the opportunity to leave.
Jaxon's plane was late, so he handed over his luggage to the assistant and went to the venue by
himself.
As soon as he entered the venue, he took a glance and happened to see Anastasia standing in the
corner taking medicine.
He frowned slightly and strode over.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
His voice was warm and concerned.
Anastasia paused, looked up at him, and smiled.
"Mr. Stanford. It's nothing. Why did you come here suddenly?"
She did not recall his field involving projects in domestic politics.
Jaxon lowered his eyes and chuckled.
"It's not difficult for me to come if I want to. I'm just worried about you."
