Madam Billionaire

Chapter Thirty-eight

“Are you sure? maybe I should wear jeans and a simple blouse?”

“Amara, you’ll look good in anything baby even with only my ring.” Matteo tidies her loose strands to the back of her ear.

“Besides with this dress, I can have easy access to your bare naked thighs.”

“Matteo!” she slapped his hand when he reached under her dress as she was putting on her designer heels.

It was a couple of weeks after they arrived from Paris that Matteo was picking her up for dinner with his family. She was nervous for the whole day, and Peter even took her to Lionel for a full spa day relaxation though it didn’t seem to do much good.

But she did relax for a couple of hours when Peter decided to bring her work back to her Penthouse. In that couple of hours, she submerged herself in contract approvals, legal issues, and recruitment matters for the expansion of the new marketing and public relation scheme.

“You’re beautiful baby, come on… you never spend this much time getting ready for work.”

“I know, shit! Matteo, okay… breathe… now, kiss me.” She took a deep breath and relaxes then waited for Matteo to kiss her. Amara smiled when he put his hands to her small waist and she rests her hands on his well-defined chest.

The young billionaire sighed when he caresses her face and lowered himself down and slowly kissed her. He pulled her closer and she melted in his kiss like she always does. Her hands trailed higher and pulled him lower for a deeper kiss.

“Amara… we’re going to be late, baby.”

But she didn’t reply and was pressing her body flat to his then trail her hands to his muscled back and kissed him with more vigor.

“Amara…” he chuckled knowing exactly what she was trying to do.

“Okay… okay, we’re doing this.”

She took his arm and let him lock the door for her. She had been going back and forth from her place to his because he has been out a lot. And it was not practical for her to go back to his empty place while she could relax at hers each time he works nights.

Amara was back to her nervous self when Matteo parks his car in front of a medium-sized suburb house. It looked beautiful, and she knows right away that he grew up in that house. The way he smiles when he turned off the engine says it all, he looked different. Then she was surprised when she could hear the front door open and the yelling starts.

“As I said, very loud family.” Matteo gave her a childish grin that she has never seen before.

Interesting. She thought to herself.

“Matty!! hurry bring your girl in!”

Amara couldn’t even see her face, but she smiles cheekily when she heard his nickname.

“Well… come on then, Matty.” She teased cheerfully.

“Right, where was the nervous fiance that I was liking just now?”

“Aww… Matty, I love you too.” She was feeling lighter and actually thinking that she might survive the meet.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Amara was about to open her door when he was to her side and opened it for her. They walked to his mom’s and were greeted by his old tabby cat when they were getting close to the front door.

“That’s captain underpants.”

“Huh?” she asked truly confused by his words.

“The cat’s name, my cat. I was a kid when I named the stray. Nowadays, everyone just calls him captain.”

The lazy cat crisscrosses his way around the couple until they reached the door. Then he entered and abandoned them.

“He’s an old cat.”

“Very.”

She was still wandering about the cat’s age when two women and an older woman came up to them.

Amara smiled awkwardly at them and hold his hand a bit tighter making him chuckle.

“There she is.” He kissed her hair referring to the comeback of his nervous fiance. But his little gesture was making the women in front of them let out a unison aww.

“Matty, do we get a chance to kiss her too?” the older woman asked him warmly.

“Mamma, how are you? and of course this is my fiance, Amara Hamilton. Amara, this is my mom Isabella, and this is my little sister Alessia, and my littlest sister Lucia.

He joked and messed his sister’s hair as if they were still in their teens. She was liking the laid-back family situation, it was warming her heart.

Amara was welcomed into his family, his mom has been cooking a big feast for all of them. And they all congratulate the couple on their engagement.

“You are too skinny my child, I’ll make sure my Matty takes good care of you. You will need to get bigger to bear his child.”

“Oh my God mamma, could you not scare her away on the first meet? Damn, we haven’t even met the whole family.” Matteo cursed and obviously his mom slapped him on the head.

“What did I say about keeping your words in my house?”

Our Matty groaned, but his two little sisters were enjoying the view and giggling at his slip up. Which makes our Amara smile widely at them.

“Okay Matty, you go help mamma with dinner. We’re having a woman-to-woman talk with your girl.” Alessia was the first to take Amara away from her brute.

“Okay, first of all, I’m so sorry about your dad.” She lets her words hang until Amara smile and nodded her head, while Lucia her younger sister who looked like she was still in college, just stare at Amara.

“But, seriously… what’s the plan? you’re THE Amara Hamilton. I’ve read about you.” Alessia ushered her to the living room and told her to sit on the couch.

“You’re really beautiful…” Little Lucia chimed as she sits next to her big sister.

“The plan is to get married to your brother, why is there something that I don’t know?” she asked, feeling her heart drop in an instant. She thought that was it, she was really going to live alone, probably adopted captain underpants as a token of their separation.

“What? pfft… Matty has always been really awkward with women, you’re the first one he ever brings home. The ring looked good on you by the way.” The older sister praised her choice of ring, while Amara laughs nervously.

“You helped him with the ring, didn’t you? Thank you, I was surprised by his taste…” The women conversed then got to talking and getting to know each other better.

Amara was liking his sisters, she hasn’t had the time for some girl talk in a long while.

They were laughing about their brother’s luck with the women as he was growing up when Matteo came into the room.

“Okay, stop talking behind my back. I don’t need you girls to scare her off too.” Matteo was to her side and told his sisters that dinner was ready.

“Oh, Matty! she was just going to tell us all about your romantic proposal!” Lucia pouted but get up from her seat.

“Thank God I’m right on time, some things I’d like to keep private okay?”

Amara squeezes his hand and he kissed her cheek lovingly.

“Ewww… Matty! way to ruin my appetite!” Lucia was the first to go and leave them all behind.

“Don’t lose her Matty. I like her.” Alessia said as she leaves them to follow her sister.

“See, that was not that ba…”

“Matty!!!! dinner’s ready!” Lucia was yelling out from the dining room, then his mother yelled at her for yelling, telling her that they have a guest.

“Yeah, I’m liking your very loud family.” She was grinning at Matteo and let him take her hand in his as he ushered her to join the rest of his family in the dining room.

It was three hours later when they finally said goodbye, she enjoyed her time with his family. She even gives her number to Alessia for another chat with her, though Matteo was not liking the idea he didn’t say anything thinking it might be for the better.

“So, my place? or yours?”

“The closest one, I’m so full from your mom’s lasagna and her tiramisu. I need to lay down.”

He laughed at her words, and took her and kissed it. She was had fallen asleep when they arrived at his place, then he carried her and let her rest on his bed.

She woke up hours later only to find his side of the bed empty. So she got up and decided to get a glass of water, thinking he probably had left her for his job. Amara had been staying at his place a couple of times before. She knows he would leave her for his job, and she didn’t mind because she always felt safe there.

But she didn’t expect him to talk on his phone, facing the other way when she came into the living area. She didn’t want to bother him, so she stayed quiet and continued walking to the kitchen for the glass of water.

“Just keep me informed, we need to get him before…” he stopped when he saw her, then continue his words.

“… anything happens. I’ll talk to you again tomorrow.” He ended the call then was to her side and kissed her hair.

“Busy?” she asked when he hugged her from behind.

“Not anymore.” He said turning her around and kissing her slowly. He tried to calm his nerves, knowing that there was a new threat lurking over her.
