Chapter-81: Minna
"King, the Collins family is here. They are in the gallery." Aztec informed Lyceon who was rummaging through some files in his office room in the mansion.
"Is the whole family here?" Lyceon asked, getting up from his chair before walking out with his beta to welcome Collins personally.
"Yes! Alpha Harrison Collins, his beta, his Luna, and their son are here with few bodyguards." Aztec answered.
Both of them headed to the waiting area where the guests were seated on the lavish sofa set in the hall. Their head turned towards him when they felt the dominating and intense aura suddenly tightened the air around them. Lyceon turned vigilant seeing the new faces.
Alpha Harrison got to his feet and walked towards him nodding in respect.
"King! It's a pleasure to get the personal invitation from you and meet you in person." He offered his hand to shake with a firm nod. Lyceon could feel the strong Alpha aura from him. And his eyes were gazing at Lyceon as if he knew some secrets of the Lycan king.
"The pleasure is all mine, Alpha Harrison. I apologise for the immediate call!" Lyceon nodded politely before shaking his hand. Alpha Harrison shook his head with a light chuckle.
"You don't need to mention this. I understood that it might be something important that you called for us!"
"It is!" Lyceon nodded and his eyes went to Luna Minna who was staring at him unblinking like she was ascertaining something on his face. Besides her blonde hair, and a few wrinkles on the corners of her almond eyes she was still gorgeous. Lyceon turned his gaze on Joe and lastly on his beta.
Both of them stepped forward and introduced themselves to Lyceon. He didn't start the conversation yet related to the purpose for which He called them.
"Aztec, call Allison in my office!" He ordered his beta through the mind link before He turned to Alpha Harrison. Aztec left from there and at the same time Minna stepped forward.
"It's fortunate to see the last Lycan on the earth in person, Mr Whitlock!" Minna greeted while addressing his surname not by his status as King. She assumed it would offend him not only with the way she called him but with the firm stare she was giving him straight into his pitch-black eyes.
But Lyceon smirked and amicably nodded at her. "And it's very fortunate to see the last survivor of the supernatural war in the last century, Mrs Minna Lauder." He responded by taking her maiden surname and making her lips parted. She looked at him with a deep frown and just then Allison came with Aztec there.
Minna opened her mouth to speak but only a slight gasp left her mouth. Her family looked at them in confusion however Alpha Harrison knew everything. She had told him her past and being her mate, he had been protecting her from the enemies till now.
Minna saw Lyceon after a long time, more like after twenty-eight years and she couldn't control the tears welling up in her eyes seeing her best friend's son, standing in his mighty form, all grown up. Though she had heard about his infamous deed many times around the packs of Northern sides but she still had doubts that if He was Shane's son or not. Because she was the one who wasn't in contact with any of them since the day when they were born.
Allison walked closer to them and her eyes only scrutinised Minna. She instantly recognised her mother's friend. Her eyes warmed seeing her in front of her eyes from the projected memory.
Joe turned his eyes to Allison and his eyes widened. He blinked in wonder and realisation hit upon his features as to why she was here.
Minna stepped forward and slowly raised her hand and cupped Lyceon's cheek. He gave her a small smile.
"Are you satisfied now?" He asked with a smile knowing very well that Minna had doubts about his identity before but now she was convinced that He is the only son of Shane.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Lyceon.." She whispered with tears in her eyes. The last time she saw him and held him as a tiny figure in her arms.
Lyceon patted her hand before taking it off his face and kissed the back of her hand, bowing in respect.
"One and only, Aunt Minna!"
Minna laughed with a small sigh as she recalled how she used to boast around saying this to Shane that she will be the best aunt of his royal kids. But her smile faded as she recalled the bitter past. "I am sorry for not taking care of you. I am sorry for not staying...."
"You don't need to apologise for anything, I know how things happened in the past." Lyceon said softly. Minna sniffed and nodded while Allison walked near them.
"Only if Shane and Maya were there..." She whispered.
"I lost all my friends!" her voice laced with utter pain and despair as Alpha Harrison moved and squeezed her in a side hug, comforting his mate.
"But you have got their kids, Aunt Minna!" Allison said smiling as she stood beside Lyceon who wrapped his arm around her waist and looked down at her with love in his eyes.
Minna raised her head to look at the young girl who seemed familiar to her gaze but she couldn't pinpoint where she had seen her. Her emerald eyes were calling to her.
"Aunt Minna, this is my Angel, my mate, Allison Griffin and the only daughter of Akira!" Lyceon introduced her and Minna's eyes widened. She covered her mouth in astonishment. Not only because Allison was the exact replica of her mother but she was also Lyceon's fated mate.
Minna couldn't believe her eyes that she would meet her friends' children one day and like this too. She moved instantly and showed the same affection to Allison before pulling her in a warm hug.
"My child!" she sobbed and Allison could only console her.
"You are exactly like your mother, my brave Akira. Oh goddess! Thank you so much!" Minna closed her eyes, her heart felt serene as she could finally meet the kids, she realised that the prophecy was coming true. She was still not believing her eyes that one day she would witness this all, the smile was not leaving her face.
"Ali..." Joe called her, grabbing their attention as he moved near and pulling Allison into a hug. Allison was startled as she was not prepared for it but a loud growl shook their bodies hard.
