THE SOUND of two voices talking woke Helga up from her slumber. She squinted as she slowly opened her eyes, the morning sun blinding her momentarily. But when she recognized Siegren's voice, she furrowed her brow and carefully sat up in bed. Her eyes widened when she saw him having a conversation with Riovanni while sipping on their coffees. "What's going on?" she asked, surprised to see that they seemed to be getting along just fine, despite what had happened between them last night..
"She's already awake, go ahead and talk to her. Make sure not to say anything stupid again." Riovanni's lips curled into a sly smirk before he gracefully stood up from the plush sofa and left the room after waving at her.
Helga's brows furrowed in confusion as she watched him go, hermind reeling with questions. She then turned to Siegren, who had been sitting across from her and was now making his way towards her with apolegtic expression on his face.
"I'm sorry about last night, I wasn't thinking straight," he said, not wanting to waste any time beating around the bush, knowing that they had a lot to discuss. He carefully sat on the edge of the bed and gently brushed aside the strands of Helga's hair that fell over her eyes. "I got jealous because it seemed your relationship with Riovanni had improve a lot, but he already knocked some sense into me. He said that you mend your friendship and assured me that your relationship was purely brother-sister Nothing more to it." He explained, feeling a twinge of embarrassment as he realized how childish he must have sounded the night before. Even Riovanni couldn't resist teasing him while they were having a drink together last night and earlier. He felt humiliated. "He also told me he would find a wife soon, and that surely put me at ease." Siegren added, his honesty bringing a smile to her lips. She knew she should not forgive him so easily after accusing her of having feelings for another man, but she could see the guilt and anxiety etched into his features. She understood the fear and worry that must have consumed him during their two-week separation, especially with her recent abduction If she were to reveal the full extent of Demian's actions towards her, she knew Siegren would be ready to dig his grave and kill him all over again for touching his mate.
"But why didn't you tell me about your pregnancy?" Helga flinched at his words, her eyes widening in shock.
H-how did y
d you know about it? Did Riovanni- "No." Siegren stopped her mid-sentence and gently grasped her hand, locking eyes with her intently. "The doctor explained it to me. When you passed out yesterday, she feared that you may have had a miscarriage because you bled, but fortunately, that was not the case."
"W-what?" Her face paled as she struggled to comprehend Siegren's words. The thought of losing their baby caused a sharp pain in her heart. She had no idea that her condition yesterday was so dire; she didn't even realize she had been bleeding.
"The doctor warned that your pregnancy is at high risk, so we have to be extremely cautious. Otherwise, there's a chance we might lose our baby." Siegren buried his head in her hands, overcome with emotion as he finally processed the fact that he and Helga were going to start a family together. Tears prickled at the corners of his eyes with so much happiness.
"I'm disappointed that you hide the fact that you're pregnant, but I also understand why you chose not to tell me right away."
With a gentle touch, Helga lifted Siegren's head so she could look at his face. Her heart skipped a beat as she took in the mixed emotions dancing through his deep red eyes. It was a storm of feelings that stirred within her, causing tears to well up and shimmer in her own green orbs. She couldn't help but be affected by the raw intensity of his gaze.
"I'm sorry for not telling you sooner," she said as they both cried in silence, the overwhelming happiness of being reunited and soon becoming parents causing an emotional release. "We're going to have a baby, our family is growing."
"Although this wasn't planned, I am truly happy and grateful. Thank you and sorry, too. I promise I will do my best to ease and support your pregnancy Siegren reassured, pulling her in a hug that both comforted them, "We were so close to

achieving peace and happiness; all that was left to do was meet your parents and figure out how to break my curse."
"Right, we should go to them now. We can't waste any time." Helga said as she pulled away from the hug and wiped the tears from her husband's face.
"There's no need to he smiled, making her frown in confusion
"What? Why?"
"I instructed Gelo to escort your parents here. David and Lucianaccompanied them to explain the situation to them." Siegren responded by gently stroking her cheeks with his thumb, wiping away her tears, too. "Besides, Riovanni has something to say to them as well, so it would be more convenient for all parties involved if they just came here instead."
Then we
we should begin preparing. I want to make sure we look presentable in their presence." Her voice trembled with a mix of excitement and nervousness as she carefully removed the warm blanket that had been draped over her legs. Siegren let out a soft chuckle and gently took her hands, leadling her from the comfort of the bed to sit on the plush sofa. "Don't worry, they live far away so we have enough time. Let's have breakfast first, the doctor recommended eating nutritious meals to make your recovery faster. He suggested, and Helga agreed with a smile, grateful for how well Siegren was looking out for her. As the hours passed, Helga found herself looking out the window again. The remaining pack members of Riovanni were still hard at work cleaning the palace grounds, accompanied by royal guards and warriors. She nervously twiddled her fingers. anticipating the upcoming meeting with her parents. She tried to imagine how she would greet them, but she knew that once they came face-to-face, things would get awkward. After all, it had been over fifteen years since she last saw them. Helga's eyes widened when she spotted a car approaching the gate. Her heart started beating faster and she quickly turned around to face Siegren who was sitting on the sofa. "They're here, let's go downstairs and greet them."
them.
"Huh?" "All right," Siegren chuckled as he stood up and held her waist, making sure she was well supported as they stepped out of the room. While strolling through the hallway, they spotted Riovanni walking out of his study with a broad smile on his face, heading straight toward them. "Let's welcome them together," he suggested, and the couple nodded before the three of them made their way downstairs, "Fate is certainly on our side, who would have thought that we would be able to see your parents without even searching for them?" "Right," Helga let out a nervous chuckle, feeling grateful to the Moon Goddess because she was making things easier for them now. It seemed as though she had finally decided to give them a break, after all the hardships they had endured in their lives. "But what do you want to talk to them about?"
"I have made the decision to relinquish control of the throne to lis rightful owners. Since you are unable to take over and rule successfully, I will have to hand it over to Alpha Gacron instead."
Riovanni answered, his heart was feeling at ease now that his father and his loyal dogs were gone.
Even though he would lose some power and authority, he had gained something more valuable-friends, allies, and freedom. He wasn't sure what had happened, but Andi had pledged his loyalty to him, regardless of whether he remained the Lycan King or not. For Riovanni, that was all he needed to move forward onto the next chapter of his life.

"Also, I want to apologize to them on behalf of my father," he added, causing Helga to smile.
After a few moments, they finally arrived at the main door. Her beart seemed to leap into her throat as the car came to a stop and the door swung open, revealing a face that was both familiar and unfamiliar to her. As their gazes met, she felt a strange sense of conner tion, as if some long-forgotten memory iad been awoken inside her.
On the other hand, Luna Hellen and Alpha Caeron stood locked in a staring contest. Tears welled in their eyes as they struggled to comprehend that this moment, after all these years, had finally arrived. And now, here they were, standing face to face after so much time apart. "H-Helga, my dear. Hellen's voice quivered, her eyes filling with tears that threatened to spill over. Helga nodded, trying to contain her sobs. She had thought she would be able to handle seeing them after so many years, but she was wrong. All she had ever wantd was to reunite with them and feel the love of a parent that she had been craving her whole life. Overwhelmed with emotion, she broke down completely and sofily sobbed as she felt their warmth, finally reunited with her family.
Riovanni and Siegren exchanged glances, both feeling a warm wave of happiness for Helga. With silent agreement, they stepped back to give Helga and her parents their moment of joyful reunion.
When their cries turned into gentle sniffles and they finally pulled away from each other's embrace, Siegren moved closer to Helga and rested a soothing hand against her back. He then gave her parents a warm smile and greeted them kindly, causing Alpha Gaeron and Luna Hellen to straighten up and return the smile. "We apologize for being a mess, Your Majesty," Gaeron said but Siegren shook his head.
"Please just address me by name, I am your son-in-law after all." he said, earning a smile from Helga as she looked at them. her heart feeling warmth at the sight of her husband together with her parents, "Shall we go inside and have a proper conversation?"
