Chapter 1710
Chapter 1710
Aurora had devised countless strategies to torment Tyler. For instance, during their meals, she would have Tyler watch from the sidelines.
They would have cold drinks under the scorching sun, and she would even assign him childishly mundane tasks like serving food and pouring wine, treating him as if he were a waiter.
Vicky allowed Aurora to do as she pleased without intervening.
After several days of these antics, Tyler remained unfazed while Aurora started to tire herself out. Compared to the torment Tyler endured in the past, Aurora’s choices hardly caused any discomfort.
Aurora’s goal was to make Tyler feel uncomfortable, aiming to make him suffer as she had believed Vicky had. However, Tyler remained unresponsive, which made Aurora lose interest in her endeavors.
Recently, Aurora received a new script, so she was more focused on studying her lines at home and no longer wanted to waste her energy on annoying him.
Vicky and Jennifer walked ahead, all while discussing Willow’s situation and the rudeness of this troublesome couple.
“Vicky, that man was merely acting on impulse, but the real troublemaker is the heiress. She’s convinced that Willow
seduced her husband and has threatened to teach her a lesson she’ll never forget. She’s unreasonable,” Jennifer added.
Dealing with difficult clients was one thing, but facing someone so irrational was another.
Anyone who frequented this entertainment club was either rich or influential.
As soon as they entered the club, many people recognized Tyler. A well-dressed man came up and warmly greeted Tyler.
“Mister Hart, is that really you? Are you here for work, or are you here to have fun? The owner of this club is my friend. Let me have some drinks sent over!”
Tyler politely declined. “No, thank you.”
The man did not insist and exchanged a few more pleasantries with Tyler before leaving.
Before reaching their reserved private room, they encountered numerous people who recognized Tyler. Even Vicky became the target of flattering attention.
Seeing that they were running late, Vicky gave Tyler an ultimatum. “Either you stop following us, or you find a way to make
yourself unrecognizable.” Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Tyler remained silent for a few seconds, then made a call to have a pair of large sunglasses delivered. Fortunately, the
lenses were large enough to cover most of his face.
With the sunglasses on, the harassment finally ceased.
When she saw Tyler still following them, Jennifer finally asked, “Vicky, why is he following us?”
“Let him be. Just consider him our bodyguard.”
Jennifer cautiously glanced in Tyler’s direction. With the sunglasses on, he did fit the role of a bodyguard well with his aura.
Upon arriving at the private room’s entrance, Vicky lightly knocked on the door.
“Come in,” came the voice of a female, drawling as she spoke.
Vicky pushed the door open and entered the room.
A woman, just shy of thirty, reclined arrogantly on the couch. While she had a decent appearance, her sharp demeanor
detracted from her beauty. Apart from her, there was a man in his thirties who sat beside her, nodding and agreeing with everything she said.
Vicky greeted the woman, “Missus Ridge…”
“Don’t call me Missus Ridge. You can call me Miss Thompson,” interrupted the woman with a domineering tone. “A person
like him who married into my family has no right to make me take his last name.”
Hearing this, the man sitting beside her dared not speak a word.
Vicky corrected herself, saying, “Miss Thompson. I’m here today regarding the matter involving our employee.”
Miss Thompson lifted her chin arrogantly. “Are you here to apologize for that sl*t?”
Vicky smiled. “It is our fault that you weren’t satisfied with our service. We’d like to apologize—”
Miss Thompson interrupted impolitely again. “She seduced my husband, and you didn’t even mention it. Do you think your employee did nothing wrong?!”
