“That’s all you need, right? Who cares if you look ugly as long as the report achieves the desired effect!”

“I’m the one that looks ugly! How can I not care about that?”

Carrie must have done it on purpose.

However, Madelyn could not say anything against her. After all, she needed Carrie’s skill.

After talking for a while, the two of them plotted secretly about what to report the next day. They had to strike while the iron was hot and really trample on Easton.

Unexpectedly, Carrie had come prepared. She had even managed to get Easton’s medical records.

“Alright, I’ll give you all the related data I have, and you can do as you see fit.”

“Okay!”

They both hung up.

Madelyn turned and saw that Andrew was behind her. She had no idea how long he had been there. Had he overheard her conversation with Carrie about how to mess with Easton?

There was a sly light in her eyes. “Did you hear everything, darling?” 

Andrew did not say anything and just pulled her roughly into his arms.

Madelyn struggled. “Don’t do that. There are people here.”

However, she looked around the living room and realized that there was no one there.

Andrew had never en able to resist Madelyn. Now that she had

changed, he was finding it even harder to control himself.

“You’re still injured.”

“Ivan says I’m recovering very well, thanks to you.”

Madelyn couldn’t help but admire Andrew’s ability to talk nonsense. He was recovering slower than he should have been because of her!

However, Andrew did not touch her this time. He carried her over to the couch and lay down, his hot breath tickling her ear. “Do you hate him that much?”

Andrew had clearly felt her hatred for Easton in her phone call with Carrie.

That didn’t seem to be the case.

From Andrew’s point of view, Madelyn had been the type of person to let things go easily ever since she was in junior high. She did not seem like someone who would put in a lot of effort to get revenge What was it that made her hate Easton so much?

“Yes, I hate him.” Madelyn nodded somberly in his arms.

She wished she could tear the flesh from Easton’s bones and drain every drop of blood in his body. She hoped that he would burn forever in hell.

“What did he do?”

What had he done?

He had tried to take Andrew’s life! Madelyn had been having nightmares about what had happened on the cliff.

Since she had no peace of mind, she would make sure that Easton suffered too. She wanted to pull him down from his pedestal and

make him lose everything so that he could no longer cause any trouble. 

Seeing that Madelyn did not answer, Andrew stopped asking.

After 2:00 pm, Andrew went to the office. Madelyn woke up groggily and received a call from the Miller residence.

Grace was calling her personally.

On the phone, she sounded gentle as she said, “Maddie, Ashley’s here. Come over and I’ll let her measure you for a few outfits.”

“I have plenty of clothes, though!” All of Madelyn’s clothes were personally designed by Andrew.

Grace was startled.

Only then did she remember that ever since Madelyn was a small child, Andrew had gotten into the habit of doing everything for her himself. Even the clothes she wore were all designed by him.

Andrew was tactless, but he was also romantic.

“Well, how about you come back and help me make a selection?”

“Alright.” Madelyn did not reject the request although she felt that Grace sounded suspiciously gentle.

Although it seemed that Grace had finally believed her after all her efforts, something didn’t seem right.
