Redmption 323
Redmption 323
"Maddie." Ellie was suddenly alerted. "What are you saying? Do you like Mr. Marrow, too? That's not right. You should only like Bran." She stopped pressing her chest and looked at me with genuine concern.
I couldn't help but smile inwardly, though I acted resigned. “But Mr. Marrow is so good-
looking. When I first saw him, I thought he was more like a celestial being than a doctor."
"No way," she said while grabbing my arm. "Maddie, even though he's good-looking, he's nowhere near as handsome as Bran, and he doesn't have the same manly charm. Most importantly, Bran is very genuine, unlike him."
"Really?" I looked at her puzzledly. "You think Mr. Marrow isn't genuine? How can you tell?"
She pouted and shook my arm. “Maddie, you can't like any man other than Bran. You belong to him.”
She was quite possessive in her beliefs.
I asked, "You like love that lasts forever, right?"
That was how it was written in novels. No matter how much trouble the main characters
went through, readers still hoped they would end up together.
As someone raised on romance novels, Ellie probably had similar expectations.
"Yes, so you can only be with Bran. You can't like anyone else," she said firmly.
"But Mr. Marrow has someone he likes too. If you like him, either he has to break up with his current partner, or you'll have to endure the pain of unreq love like the second female lead in a novel." I pointed out.
Her eyes widened in surprise. "Mr. Marrow has a girlfriend?"
Before I could answer, she added, "Of course, with his bright and handsome looks, how could he not have a girlfriend?"
Seeing she was starting to understand, I continued, "Yes, and do you know who he likes?"
Ellie shook her head. "Today was the first time I met him. How could I know?"NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
"It's Dr. Carline." My words made her widen her eyes in shock. The light in her eyes dimmed gradually.
She rested her head on my shoulder. "No wonder such a prominent professor would come to see me. It turns out it's because of his girlfriend."
I leaned against her and looked out the window. Dr. Carline has liked
Mr. Marrow ever since their school days. Her love for him was so strong that she chose to attend the same medical school he did and became his junior. In many ways, Dr Carline's current achievements are all due to that love."
I told Ellie about Lisa's unspoken
feelings for Keith, and she immediately responded, "So Mr. Marrow didn't know all along? Dr. Carline is so reserved. Love should be expressed openly "Yes, that's what I encouraged her to do. As it
turns out, Mr. Marrow overheard her feelings when he came, so her secret admiration became known." looked at her.
"And I could see in his eyes that he has feelings for her just like the way you looked at him," I added, causing Ellie's face to flush.
“Maddie, stop! I get it now. I won't
like Mr. Marrow anymore. But he really is very handsome. He's the most handsome man I've ever O seen..." She paused, then added, "Well, except for Bran."
Upon hearing that, I laughed. “Yes, the most handsome man, apart from your brother." "Maddie, you can only like Bran,” Ellie warned me as she was her, “Yes, and Brandon and I plan to have a baby for you to play with." "Maddie, are you really planning to have a baby with Bran?" she asked with a face full of excitement.
I looked at her beautiful face. "Yes, a girl as pretty as you."
"Better yet, twins,” she added without hesitation.
"Okay. As long as Brandon has the capability," I said, and just then, Brandon's tall figure appeared precisely at the door of the ward.
Ellie noticed him and said, “Bran, did you hear? Maddie said-"
"I heard." Brandon interrupted her and fixed his gaze on me.
I fell silent.
