Redmption 310
Redmption 310
The plane touched down in the early evening.
The sunset was breathtaking, like a sky drenched in blood, so stunning it made my heart skip a beat.
"Brandon, this is the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen!" I couldn't help but exclaim while we were still on the plane.
"Me too," Brandon echoed.
He was always like this, and I had grown used to it.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
It wasn't until I got into the car and saw his social media post that I noticed the sunset photo he had just taken. The caption read, "Because you're by my side."
At first glance, the words seemed unrelated to the picture, but when I thought back to what I had said on the plane, it all made sense.
Combining what I said and what he wrote, it said, "This is the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen because you're by my side." Alright then!
If anyone ever claimed that Brandon doesn't know how to show affection, I'd be the first to disagree He was an expert at it. “Brandon, are you back this time to have your wedding banquet?" the man driving the car teased. He was one of Brandon's friends, already waiting for us when we got off the plane.
"No, not this time," Brandon replied, his response as nonchalant as ever.
So, does that mean next time?
"She sure is beautiful," the man said, sneaking glances at me.
"Yeah," Brandon responded, completely at ease.

One was bold enough to say it, and the other bold enough to agree, but it left me feeling a little embarrassed.
"Hi, I'm Cam. Cameron Sullivan." The man introduced himself quite comfortably.
I introduced myself just as openly. "I'm Madeline Crown."
"I know, I know," Cameron
replied eagerly. "Ellie talks about you all the time. Everyone in the village knows that Brandon's girlfriend is named Madeline."
I hadn't even recovered from the last bout of embarrassment when he hit me with another.
I laughed lightly. "Is that so? I guess I won't need to introduce myself in the future then."
“No need, no need. A beauty like you? Everyone remembered you the last time you were here."
Cameron's compliments kept coming, each one more difficult for me to respond to than the last. So, I wisely decided to keep quiet.
However, who would have guessed that Brandon would lean in close and whisper, "Looks like you can handle conversations with Cam quite well."
With his little fanboy right there, I couldn't say much, so I pinched him lightly, signaling him to stop teasing me.
Even though I stayed quiet, Cameron was a chatterbox, talking non-stop about everything. From someone's pig giving birth to a strange creature that looked like an elephant, to a one meter-long fish someone caught, to who liked who, and which widow was now with which man...
The last time I came here with Ellie, I saw the village as a pristine paradise, untouched and beautiful. Cameron's stories revealed this
paradise also had its share of ordinary, messy problems.
"Stop spreading baseless rumors. Even if they're true, it's none of your business. Why gossip about it? Have you forgotten what happened the last time you ran your mouth?" Brandon scolded him.
Cameron scratched his head awkwardly. "Brandon, it's just that I'm so excited to see you. I can't help but
tell you everything I know. I swear I'd never say a word to outsiders."
It was clear that he admired Brandon a lot.
However, Brandon's scolding left Cameron a bit embarrassed, so I stepped in to play the
good guy. “Cam, with your way with words, you must have a girlfriend, right?"
“No, no." Cameron shook his head. "Madeline, a beautiful woman like you must know lots of great ladies. You could introduce one to me sometime, co He was really direct.
I didn't refuse him, replying cheerfully, “Sure."
Brandon leaned in and whispered, "He'll take you seriously. From now on, every time he sees you, he'll ask about it."
Really?
I glanced at Cameron.
Was he really that persistent?
"You didn't tell Ellie we were coming, did you?" Brandon asked Cameron as we entered the village.
"No, Brandon. When you give me the order, I make sure not to let a single word slip," he replied, glancing at me with a smile.
