Love's Redemption

Redmption 232

Redmption 232

Chris was here too, which was beyond my expectations. However, it was understandable.

Today was the day for the lighting test. So it made sense for him, as the park amusement’s owner, to check things out in advance.

While we exchanged glances, Chris had already walked over.

My hand felt warm as Brandon took it.

I had to admit that when it came to playing my boyfriend’s role, Brandon excelled. As soon as Chris appeared, Brandon’s assertive dominance seemed to kick in immediately.

Chris‘ gaze swept over our tightly clasped hands. His expression showed little displeasure, and his tone was calm and collected. “What time does it start?”

We both understood what he meant. He was here to check the lighting test. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“In ten minutes,” Brandon replied.

“Where are the observation points?” Chris asked.

Brandon’s grip on my hand tightened slightly. I looked at him, and he stared back at me. His gaze seemed to ask for my input.

He had been here countless times and should be familiar with it. He deferred to me simply to follow my opinion.

“The observation points differ by area, and there are signs for each. The main observation point is the Ferris wheel.” I provided the official answer.

Chris‘ gaze settled on my face before shifting to Brandon. “Where will you be observing?”

I wondered if he was planning to join us, but he didn’t seem to mind.

Then again, he was now involved with someone else and had long-

on from our past. There was nothing awkward about it.

“Mae and I will do a preliminary check first, and also…”

Brandon paused and said, “Tonight isn’t the official test. It’s just that I want to check the lighting effect with Mae.”

Chris‘ eyes flashed with a hint of something before he replied softly.” Alright.”

I wasn’t sure what he meant by “alright”

I didn’t know what he meant and Brandon didn’t care about it. He simply said to Chris, “Mr. Gildon, feel free to look around. We’ll take a look first.”

Brandon led me away. When we passed by Chris, I felt a coldness emanating from him.

‘If you see any issues, let me know,” Brandon instructed me.

But I knew there wouldn’t be any issues. If there were, he wouldn’t have

brought me here.

As I walked leisurely with Brandon through the brilliant display, it was incredibly romantic, but I couldn’t fully enjoy it.

Having an ex–boyfriend following behind made it hard for me to treat him as if he didn’t exist or as just a stranger.

Brandon was completely at ease. He would occasionally explain the

details of the lighting setup–what issues were with the lights, and which

ones were related to the power

Gradually, I began to relax

I even had the feeling that Chris had left us. But when Brandon took me to

the Ferris wheel, I realized I was wrong

Chris had been following right behind us the whole way. Brandon and I

weren’t being overly intimate. We were just holding hands, but it was still enough to sting for Chris

But he kept following us. I wondered if he was trying to torture himself.

I almost forgot that he didn’t care for me. However, if he didn’t, he wouldn’t be suffering.

I shouldn’t dwell on it but thinking about it still made me uncomfortable.

It was really disheartening to feel like my enthusiasm had been wasted.

“Mr. Gildon, do you want to go up and have a look too?” Brandon politely asked Chris.

“Yes,” Chris replied. His tone was unusually subdued and calm.

It was very different from the discomfort he showed when he saw Brandon and me together.

“Please, go ahead.” Brandon was unusually polite to him tonight as well.

Chris, being in a higher position, naturally walked toward the open

observation cabin.

Brandon then looked at me and said, “Let’s go up as well.”
