Love’s Final Reveal novel (Lola and Dominic)

Chapter 38

Chapter 38

Chapter 38

Lola’s eyes were filled with disdain, a sharp contrast to Jessica’s smug satisfaction.

Do you really think that what you treasure so much is also coveted by others?

“It was just a title I didn’t want anymore. Don’t forget, I was the one who filed for divorce.

Jessica’s smug expression gradually stiffened. “No matter what, I’m about to marry Dom. That’s a fact. You’re history!”

Lola fiddled with a potted plant on the coffee table, responding nonchalantly, “So, what’s your point?

“Why are you gloating? The Moore family is on the brink of bankruptcy. Everything you take pride in is not truly yours. Once the Moore family goes bankrupt, you’ll be left with nothing.

“Keep gloating. I took forward to seeing y

ing you lose everything.” The amusement in Lola’s eyes grew as she plucked a dried leaf from the plant.

She spoke with absolute confidence, making Jessica’s face grow increasingly sour.

Jessica had intended to flaunt her success to Lola, hoping to see her upset. However, it seemed Lola truly didn’t care anymore and was instead threatening her.

“Lola, don’t get ahead of yourself!”

Jessica straightened her back, trying to appear haughty and confident. “Now that the Moore family has allied with the Sinclair family through marriage, do you think your new corporation can really

beat us? Don’t be delusional.”

Ethan narrowed his eyes slightly. “We’ll see about that. Even with the Sinclair family’s protection, the Moore family won’t last long

“And your so–called backup is just our next target!”

Lola found the whole situation boring and glanced at Jessica while sitting on the couch.

“I thought you might have learned something new, but it’s the same old tactics. Do you have anything else to say? If not, I’ll have to ask security to show

you out.”

Jessica’s face turned ashen, Lola was giving her no quarter!

“I don’t want to waste more time here. Dom is waiting for me at home!”

Jessica pulled out an exquisitely crafted gold–embossed invitation from her bag. “This is our wedding invitation.

“Dom didn’t plan to invite you, but I thought, since you’re an old acquaintance and you’re here, why not invite you?”

Ethan’s brow furrowed. “Get out! We’re not attending any wedding!”

He was genuinely concerned that Lola might be affected by this and have an attack again.

The white envelope, paired with gold trim, was a carefully designed invitation.

A flicker of disgust passed through Lola’s eyes. Shy had never had wedding invitations at her own wedding.

“I wanted a grand wedding, blessed by family and friends, with invitations I’d designed myself.

“How about finding two cute kids to be flowey bearers? Using gardenias for the wedding might not be the best idea, Maybe we should go with roses instead?”

Memories of her filled with hope and happiness flashed through her mind.

Chapter 18

“No need. A simple ceremony is fine. I don’t like complications.”

His words extinguished all her enthusiasm in an instant.

It wasn’t about disliking complications. He just didn’t like her.

Lola’s expression darkened as she picked up the invitation, rubbing against the envelope.

“I’ll definitely be there, I want to see how the two of you get married.”

She actually wanted to witness their unhappiness.

Outside, it seemed like it was about to rain. The sky was dark, making it hard to breathe.

Ethan looked out through the floor–to–ceiling windows, his worry evident in his eyes.

“Layla, maybe you shouldn’t go. They’re not worth your time.”

Lola, who had been resting with her eyes closed on the couch, opened her eyes at the sound of his voice.

“Why not? Of course, I should see for myself how they get married. After all, Dominick has been waiting for this moment for a long time, hasn’t he?

“This must be their last big event before both families go bankrupt. How could I miss witnessing it?”

Some things were understood even without being spelled out.

She wanted to witness this wedding and then say her final goodbyes to everything here.

Lola felt stifled and wanted to walk outside for some fresh air.

“Where are you going? It looks like it’s going to rain soon, Lola. Don’t go outside,” Ethan called out to her.

Lola knew her limits. “I’ll just take a quick stroll in the yard. I won’t go far.”

With that, her dress swirled as she turned and left the room.

The yard had a garden, but sadly, it didn’t have any flowers she liked.

A breeze came through, bringing with it the scent of the garden and a familiar smell that didn’t belong to any flower. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

The sky grew increasingly dark as if a heavy rain could start at any moment.

Lola noticed the out–of–place

lace scent and looked up to meet a pair of deep eyes.

She was slightly startled, but her surprise quickly turned to sarcasm, as if she were hardly shocked that he had found this place.

“Why aren’t you preparing

for

r the y

wedding? Jessica would go mad if she saw you here.”

Her tone was contemptuous as she looked through the fences at him outside.

Dominick seemed used to Lola’s tone and attitude, slightly furrowing his brows to ignore her question.

“It’s going to rain soon. How are you feeling? I’m worried about you.”

The word “sarcastic” was insufficient to describe her mood upon hearing this.

“Is this what you like? Preferring the other woman? It’s ridiculous for a man about to be married to be concerned about a woman who means nothing to him”

Chapter 38

Every word she spoke was malicious, hurting Dominick deeply.

Yet, his eyes still hold gentleness. “Make sure you’re protected and keep sharp objects away. Take care of yourself, alright?”

His voice didn’t match his persona, causing Lola a momentary stun.

If he had shown her even half of this kindness before, could they have avoided coming to this point?

Lola found her own thoughts absurd, her gaze turning colder.

“Happy wedding. Besides that, there’s nothing left to say between us.”

With those words, she turned and left without hesitation.

Dominick’s gaze darkened. He finally knew this

was what it felt like to watch someone walk away.

She had experienced it far too many times before.

He had intended to sort things out before seeing Lola.

But passing by, he couldn’t help but stop his car.

It was about to rain, and he was worried about Lola

He had anticipated the outcome and, with a smile, turned to leave.

“Dom, considering we’re getting married tomorrow, should I move in with you

today?”

Jessica didn’t want to leave after dinner with the Moore and Sinclair families.

“The wedding is set tomorrow. If you want to move in, then go ahead!” Gary couldn’t wait for this matter to be settled.

Dominick’s gaze turned cold. How could he possibly let another woman live in the room exclusive to him and Lola?
