No strings attached
“I like the way you are now, uncaring that I don’t love you, we are better like this. Let’s just have sex whenever we want to but let’s do so with no strings attached.”
“Okay, I get it, no strings attached,” Belle said again. She could listen to this man holding her, talk all day and agree with whatever he said.
“Alright then, let’s go shopping.” He held her and they headed out.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
They were still in the driving car, both in their own thoughts when Belle’s phone started to vibrate in her purse. Ben looked at her to try and know why she wasn’t picking up her phone as it rang on.
He realized that her mind was lost, so he called her back;
“Belle.”
“Hmmn?” She turned to him sharply, disengaging from her far thoughts.
“Your phone seems to be ringing.”
“Oh.” She open her purse to get the phone out but it had stopped ringing.
She checked on her notification block and saw who it was, calling her. It was Brie, her own cousin who had called her for the twenty-seventh time.
Belle’s phone has been in silent mode since last night when she was with Ben and now she was checking her phone, they were numerous calls that were made to her cell phone.
Brie had called, Cherry had also called, and her boss; Mrs Johnson had called her too. She sighed putting the phone back in her purse. She would call Brie later on or maybe call Cherry, either of whom she called would most probably be around the other so she could reach them both with just one phone call.
Immediately she put the phone in her purse, it started to vibrate again. Brie was calling again, she was worried about her cousin sister Belle. Who wouldn’t be worried? Belle left their shared apartment since last night in the name of going to a party and had not yet returned, it made Brie and Cherry but mostly Brie so very worried.
It was more scary for Brie when she remembered that Belle had left the apartment with the burly man who had a scar. What if he has done something to her sister, Belle? All of that thought left Brie more unsettled and she couldn’t help but worry and call Belle like a maniac.
Belle picked up the phone, hoping she didn’t make her(Brie) worry over nothing because she knew how Brie could overthink things in such a situation. She (Brie) had been calling her phone since she left the hotel but she didn’t hear her phone vibrate while it was in her purse that whole time and if not for Ben, she most probably wouldn’t have heard it ring this time again.
“Belle? Belle!” Brie called her name after she saw that Belle had picked up the call, she wanted to hear her(Belle) say something, anything, so she could know if she was okay or not.
“Brie….” Belle wanted to tell her not to worry because she was actually okay but Brie cut her short.
“Belle? Are you okay? Where are you? Where has your phone been? Belle, I have been calling you for the past hour and you have not been picking up, did you lose your phone? Say something?”
Belle sighed when Brie asked one question after another, she didn’t even know where to begin to answer from. She began to rethink her decision; maybe she should have let them both know about Ben, then they won’t be as worried as they were right now.
“I’m okay, Brie.” She just said.
“You are okay? But where are you? Are you lost? Do you need me to come pick you up? Just tell me where you are and I will come get you.”
“No, I’m not lost Brie, I’m actually with a friend.” She said and turned to Ben, he had been looking at her all this while.
“A friend? You have a friend in city S? Is it him?”
“Who?”
“The guy from yesterday…. the… the one who came and picked you up?”
“No. No, not him.”
“Which friend is that then, are you sure you are okay?”
“Yes, Brie, I am okay, trust me, just don’t worry about me, I will be back soon okay, please.”
“Did she finally answer her phone?” Belle could hear Cherry ask from the phone.
“Yes, she did. She says she is actually not lost and that she is okay.” Brie replied Cherry.
“So why hasn’t she been taking her calls?!”
“She said it was on silent all that while we called.” She heard Brie explain what she said again to Cherry.
Belle slapped her head with a sigh, she knew Cherry would get mad for making them worry over nothing.
“Guys, I’m sorry, I’m Soo sorry I made you worry when there was no case for you to worry about.” She told them both, knowing it wasn’t just Brie she was talking to now.
“Yeah, it’s fine, just get home safe okay?”
“Okay.” Belle sighed with relief that they weren’t mad but she heard Cherry.
“Hold up, hold up, hold up. Did you just tell her it’s fine? Brie, do you know that if anything had happened to her, it would have been on you.”
“Cherry….” Brie tried to stop her.
“You would have owed your grandma an explanation as to why…..”
“Hey Belle, come home sooner okay, Cherry’s just going to go on with this if I don’t hang up now,” Brie told Belle before hanging up the phone and ending the call.
“Are you okay?” Ben thought he should ask her because she looked distressed about the call she just had.
“Yeah.” She nodded before putting her phone back in her purse.
