“Why is your face like that, Ghe? Did you eat something wrong?”
Joshua and Denisa looked puzzled as Ghea entered the room. Earlier, when she left, her face was radiant as she intended to meet her husband. Why is she now returning with a frowning face? Is her friend in the midst of a fight? Or perhaps there’s something else bothering her, making her look upset like this?
“Yeah, what’s wrong now? Any issues? Got scolded by the boss? What happened?” Denisa asked, also curious. Countless questions were thrown at her friend.
“I’m just annoyed! annoyed! annoyed!!!” Ghea expressed, appearing irritated. Her face was red as if she was holding back frustration and anger.
“Yeah, but why this annoyance?” Rio asked. “It can’t just be annoyance without a reason. If you tell us the story, Ghe, maybe Denisa and I can help if you only share it properly.”
Ghea then looked at her two friends alternately. Glancing around, making sure other staff members were still on break, she waved for Joshua and Denisa to come closer to where she was sitting.
“You know, right? Earlier, I hurriedly left the room because I wanted to catch up with Randy and have lunch with him as usual?”
Joshua and Denisa nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, we know. What happened next?”
“Just so you know,” continued Ghea. “When I reached the front of the manager’s office before entering, I accidentally overheard a conversation between Randy and Stella inside. Just so you know. That air freshener girl had the audacity to offer herself to give Randy what I haven’t been able to provide him until now.”
Denisa immediately furrowed her brow in surprise.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
Ghea sighed. In times of frustration like this, why is her friend so slow to understand what she’s saying? It’s a bit bothersome to explain in detail, but if not explained thoroughly, it won’t connect.
“As you both know, I set conditions with Randy about not wanting to be touched at all or postponing the duties of being a husband and wife until I’m ready or at least until after graduation.”
“Yeah, we both know about your unreasonable conditions. Then what? What’s up with Stella Orange?” Denisa asked.
Ghea sighed again, then answered.
“Well, she offered herself to Randy to replace me, who until now hasn’t been able to satisfy Randy in bed. Imagine, she boldly offered herself like she’s selling something.”
“Goodness.” Denisa exclaimed, utterly baffled. “Is Stella seriously offering herself? Doesn’t she have any self-respect at all? So, did you immediately confront her when you saw that happening in front of you?”
Denisa squinted, waiting for Ghea’s answer to her previous question. However, instead of a response, Ghea remained silent, and this immediately led Denisa to think all sorts of things.
“Don’t tell me you just stayed quiet and did nothing when Stella was openly flirting with Randy in front of you.”
“Well, I just don’t feel like causing a scene, Denisa. This is the office, I don’t want to create a commotion that would embarrass Randy.”
“But, if you think about it, you have to do something, Ghe. This is too much,” Denisa provoked. Even though she’s not in Ghea’s position, she’s annoyed seeing another woman openly challenging her friend. “Just imagine, in the office, during working hours, Stella is clearly hitting on your husband. Offering herself if she can provide things that you can’t give to Randy. If your husband is weak-willed —”
“Hey!” Joshua interrupted. “Why bring up weak-willed?”
“Sorry,” Denisa chuckled deliberately. “I mean, if your husband lacks faith, he might just accept Stella’s offer. Imagine, a beautiful girl whose appearance and demeanor match the criteria, inviting him to have fun for free. It’s opportunism. Well, it’s not bad to fill the void before you’re ready. Besides, how many cats would refuse to be given fish even if the fish is a bit smelly?”
Ghea’s heart burned even more. It’s annoying how Denisa is heating her up. It’s about to explode, her head!
“Enough, Ghe. Why are you so in denial about your own husband?” Joshua protested. He, who was initially silent, spoke up again. “There’s some truth to what Denisa is saying. How long are you going to refuse what you should and must give to your husband? If you’re afraid of getting pregnant, you can use protection. Don’t make too many excuses. Remember! There are many cats and hairy caterpillars out there ready to take your place anytime. Aren’t you afraid?”
Ghea remained unmoved. Her heart began to rebel after receiving a spiritual shower with provocative tones from Joshua and Denisa. Then, she thought, is it time to give Randy what he should have received since the beginning of their marriage? Besides, it’s useless to keep refusing. However, Randy has already made up his mind never to divorce her until death. So, what else should she consider and think about if not slowly opening her heart and learning to love from now on?
“Ghe!” Denisa called out when she noticed Ghea was silent, lost in thought. “Did you hear our conversation? Come on, don’t think too much. Just go for it.”
“The problem is, I’m new to this kind of thing. I’m actually confused about what to do and how to start.”
Hearing Ghea’s confession, Joshua shook his head. Only now did he realize that he has a friend as innocent as Ghea.
“Oh my, Ghe. Just go with the flow on this one. Do you think newlyweds out there need to learn first before their first night? No way. But if you need a reference so you won’t be too stiff, I can help.”Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Ghea, sitting next to Joshua, was surprised. Squinting and puzzled, she asked questions.
“What do you mean? Help how?”
“Hold on,” Joshua said. Then he reached for his phone, opening several features there to find something, then sent it to Ghea right away. “There you go. Check your phone,” he instructed.
Ghea looked curious. She grabbed her phone from the table, then opened several text messages that Joshua had just sent her. After seeing the content of those messages, Ghea grimaced.
“Joshuaaaa! Why did you send so much adult content to me! Are you crazy?”
Joshua and Denisa burst into laughter. It’s amusing to see Ghea’s embarrassed expression.
“You said you were stiff? Confused about what to do on the first night, right? Well, I helped by giving you references. Just watch it before going to bed. Later, you’ll have an idea of what to do. Hopefully, after watching, you’ll be eager to practice with Randy.”
Ghea glared. She pinched Joshua’s arm several times. Irritated by the idea her friend just suggested.
