Part 89 # Andre Fired
The atmosphere at the hospital seemed normal. However, there was a police patrol car parked in the front courtyard. Usually, if there were no criminal cases, the car wouldn’t be there. Now, perhaps as part of an investigation, the car was still moving around there.
Andre hurriedly walked towards the President Director’s office on the top floor, near the VVIP area which was the most expensive room in Andromeda Hospital. Occasionally, he glanced at his watch; it was still not too late, only 11 o’clock.
“Is the President Director still in his office?” Andre asked the secretary in front. This was just a simple formality, although Andre had the right to enter, considering he was the prospective son-in-law and part owner of this hospital.
“He is, Doctor. But…”
“But?”
“You’re not allowed to see him. That’s what he said.”
“What? That doesn’t make sny sense!”
“I-I’m sorry, Doctor. But we’re prohibited from letting you in.”
Andre ruffled his hair roughly, then walked into the President Director’s office. His secretary’s shouts were ignored; he immediately pushed open the bright brown wooden door quickly.
“Hey! What a rude of you!” the President Director exclaimed, startled as he sat in his chair, almost jumping. The old man was quite surprised by Andre’s unusual behavior. His prospective son-in-law often behaved politely and gently, or one might say, coldly.
The President Director had never seen Andre become angry and impulsive like this before.
“Where is Miriam?”
“Why do you want to know? Didn’t you yourself end your relationship?” The President Director’s voice raised. Andre gritted his teeth.
“I know she tampered with the CCTV in Lara’s room. You can stop dodging, President Director!”
“What? You’re hallucinating!”
“Who else could have done it?”
“The CCTV is broken. Technology is just like that! It’s on and off without you even realizing it! I’ve given a statement to the police!”
“And… do you think I just believe that? Why is Miriam not here? What are you planning?”
CRASH!
“Enough! You’ve gone too far! After unilaterally ending the relationship… now, you’re accusing my daughter of things she didn’t do! You’re truly shameless!”
SLAP!
The President Director suddenly slapped Andre’s face, freezing him.
“You can slap me, beat me, but I won’t give up! I have to ask Miriam about this case. If she’s really involved, I don’t know. I’ll be truly disappointed for the rest of my life!”
“GET OUT!”
“You can’t hide the truth forever, respected President Director!”
“YOU’RE FIRED!”
Andre growled and turned on his heel. Initially, he was about to leave right away, but the President Director’s words made him change his mind. “Wha-what?”
“You’re fired, Doctor Andre. I don’t want to see your face here anymore!”
“You can’t just fire me like that!”
“And I’m canceling our cooperation contract because you’re no longer my son-in-law. Enjoy being unemployed! You’ll have a hard time finding a job in Indonesia!”
“You!” Andre clenched his fists. If he didn’t see the old President Director as someone the same age as his late father, Andre would have certainly landed a punch. Unfortunately, Andre could still think rationally enough not to attack him.
What Lara feared finally happened. Andre was truly fired from Andromeda. “This isn’t over!”
Andre turned on his heel again and took wide strides. He wanted to leave that disgusting room as soon as possible. If Andre were the President Director there, he would certainly not have carried out the expulsion.
One thing regretted by Andre was the patients under his responsibility. Andre could sue the President Director and report him to the relevant ministry, but… Andre would focus more on Lara’s recovery first.

Andre wanted to return to the safe house immediately. Lara asked him to stay and accompany her there. Andre really wanted to be by Lara’s side, but… he had to find out some things first.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
“Long time, Bro?” Riko finally came to the cafe near the Police Station. Andre had contacted him and asked him to spare some time. There were some things bothering his mind.
“Just arrived. How’s it going?”
“Alright, I’m good! Alright, no need for small talk. How can I help you?” Riko offered. He was indeed a true friend who understood all the hardships Andre experienced, even though the man hadn’t opened his mouth yet.
“I just got fired. But, that’s not the problem.”
“Fired? From your own hospital?”
“That hospital has been bought by Miriam’s father, Bro!”
“Oh, right.”
They both sighed deeply. Riko knew that Andre was having a hard time accepting that decision. Not about being fired or having to leave that hospital. But, more about the responsibility to his Grandmother and Sister regarding their father’s inheritance.
“Has your sister found out?”
“Not yet.”
“Grandma?”
“No, she didn’t. It will only adding more burdens to her mind.”
“Oh dear…” Riko started thinking hard. Did Andre come to borrow money? “If you need to borrow 10-30 million, I have it. But, if it’s 300 billion, I don’t have it, Bro! Do you want to buy back the hospital?”
“No way! Who would borrow money?” Andre widened his eyes. He didn’t expect Riko to offer him money.
“If that’s not the case … then what should it be?”
“It’s about Lara’s case. How about it? Any progress regarding to the car accident?”
“Oh my! Love indeed makes people blind, huh? Solving one’s own problems but taking care of others’,” Riko teased with a smirk. Andre just shook his head weakly while laughing. Whatever he was thinking about, he thought Lara’s affairs had to be taken care of as best as possible.
“Not yet. All the CCTV at the scene is broken. If only there was a dashboard camera in the car that could be examined, maybe it could help with this investigation.”
“Have you found it?”
“Not yet. The kids are still investigating. There was a deserted restaurant there. If there were delivery trucks passing by, that moment could have been recorded. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been closed for a long time.”
“The owner?”
“I don’t know. Can’t be reached. They also rarely come to Jakarta.”
Andre sighed deeply again. The car accident case could be used as evidence for Seno’s upcoming trial. “Seno has been arrested, Bro!”
“Yeah. I’ve heard too. But, apparently, he’s denying all the charges. His lawyer is crazy. It’s Hoffman Pariz, you know?”
Andre nodded and ran his hand through his hair. Seno was indeed skilled. He knew this wasn’t a low-profile case. Maybe, he invested heavily in that lawyer to free himself from all accusations. Who knows? He might even bribe the judge and prosecutor to walk free from all charges.
Andre had to find a way to ensure that scoundrel was punished as best as possible.
“I have to go now, Bro! There’s something I need to do!”
“Where are you going? Let me know if you need help!”
“Got it!”
Andre then headed towards the parking lot and got into his beloved black sedan. His fingers tapped on the steering wheel with a feeling of doubt. Was this the right decision?
But, Andre had no choice. He had to inform his sister. At least, Andre had a reliable sibling.
“Hello, Big Sis. I… got fired.”
