Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 51
Chapter 51
Chapter 51 For Clarissa
Monday soon came Clarissa got out of Damien’s car as it stopped in front of the New East
Corporation’s entrance
Entering the lobby, Clarissa bumped into Llly. “Look at you, all glowed up! Was last night that great?”
Lily teased. “Don’t say that!” Clarissa looked around instinctively. Fortunately, she didn’t see Damien
around.
Yet for some reason, she felt a void in her heart.
She knew this marriage wouldn’t go anywhere. As much as it disappointed her, this was the pain she
would have to bear.
After working for the entire day, it was time for her lunch break. But just as she was about to rest, she
heard loud noises coming from the entrance.
A group of people entered the office pushing trolleys of food.
“Thanks for the hard work, everyone! Here’s a treat from Miss York.”
Clarissa stretched her body as she thought to hersell. ‘Miss York? Madelynn York?” All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Everyone immediately looked at Clarissa.
‘What are you guys looking at me for?’
Whion Clarissa got the packed meal, she saw there were rice, vegetables, fruits, and basically
everything that you could ask for inside.
“Thank you so much, Miss York!”
“This must’ve cost a sortune, especially when there are so many emplovees liere.”
“For sure!”
It almost seemed like everyone was trying to provoke Clarissa by openly complimentins Madelynn in
loud voices.
Clarissa glanced at the packaging. There, a picture of Madelynn in her character in the show” Dear Dr.
Hill” was printed on.
Most likely, Madelynn did this to promote her new show.
Since Clarissa was allergic to egg yolks, she had to separate the egg white and the egg yolk. Still,
throwing away the egg yolk seemed like a terrible waste.
As she was throwing the egg yolk away, she heard gossip behind her. “The war’s begun.”
TH
That stunned Clarissa. However, she quickly understood what that meant. Everyone assumed that she
was throwing away the food in front of Madelynn
In the end, Clarissa couldn’t care less about the hubbub and started eating.
Meanwhile, Madelynn made a beeline for Damien’s office.
The employees gave Damien one of the packaged meals as well. The difference was that his meal was
a deluxe version, though that was par for the course. “This is my new show! Do help me promote it,
Damien,” Madelynn said sweetly, smiling coyly at him.
“I’m neither in the public relations department nor the marketing department, so I don’t think I can help
much,” Damien said bluntly, not bothering to beat around the bush.
“I’m just doing whatever I can. Does it taste nice?” Madelynn said.
“I’ve already ordered my meal,” Damien replied, still blunt. “I’m afraid I can’t have the one you bought
me. How was the show, by the way? Where did you shoot it?”
Damien worded his question in a casual tone. At the same time, he texted the secretary and requested
to have his packaged meal to be sent to Clarissa. Madelynn gritted her teeth, knowing very well that
Damien intended to humiliate her. Later, the secretary came in and took his meal away. “At Columbia
Hospita,” Madelynn said as she eyed the secretary walking away. Damien frowned slightly. “Really?”
“Yes, and I bumped into Clarissa last Saturday.” Madelynn continued. “She was chatting with another
man.” “It was her brother.”
“She has two brothers?” Madelynn acted surprised. “That makes sense, because I saw her brother
holding her hand. I was just about to warn you about it, too.”
By now, Damien’s face had already darkened. Clarissa didn’t tell him anything about what happened in
the hospital. She merely thanked him and slept in his bed.
Two men… That should be Luke and Joseph. Luke was the driver for the Moore family, so it made
sense that he was there with Joseph.
Damien also realized that Luke probably wanted Joseph to go for Clarissa, since Luke failed to get
anything from Damien.
“Well, I’ll take my leave now. I have an advertisement to shoot in the afternoon.” Madelynn left after
saying that.
