Ava woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside the window. She opened her eyes and saw that the room was bathed in a warm, golden light. She turned to look at Bruce, who was lying next to her, his arms wrapped around her. She smiled, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her.

She lay there for a moment, listening to the sound of his breathing, feeling the rise and fall of his chest against hers. She felt safe and protected in his arms, and she knew that she never wanted to leave this place.
