Love At The Wrong Table

Love at the 1930

“Uh?” After a brief period of shock, Julian bowed and said, “Thank you.”

“Mm.” The elderly man with the white beard was nonetheless fairly amiable.

The stone door behind him opened with a sudden wave from him.

The thrée young people were in disbelief, not understanding the underlying

idea.

Only Ashton seemed to have some understanding. To open the door from

the outside, one had to have a strong internal strength. If it were up to them,

they would most likely push until they ran out of energy and still be unable to

open this stone door.

“Go in.” The white–bearded old man waved, and the three of them boldly

entered the place.

Behind the stone door was a picture–perfect rural setting, with a light mist

underneath the artificial pavilions, ponds, tables, and chairs. They were all in

to her

their natural surroundings. It appeared to be a utopia.

With the help of a young, stunning woman, an elderly man emerged carrying

a cane with a head shaped like a dragon. He had an intimidating, serious

appearance.

However, Roselynn and Ashton could not suppress their contempt. The man

was significantly older than the woman. As expected, all men were alike. They

questioned inwardly whether all males were attracted to young women in

the eighteen to twenty–four age range.

“Are you my grandson and granddaughter who have been wandering

outside?” the young woman asked.

The trio exchanged glances with one another. In response to the elderly

man’s gentle reminder, Julian bowed appropriately and introduced himself

as Julian Summerton. These two are my sister and wife, respectively,” he

said. “May I inquire about your names? He feared making the same error

twice. In addition, he had no desire to be the grandchild of a woman like that.

Nobody knew who was older between the two.

*Humph, Julian Summerton? Not a bad name! The young woman

his twenty–eighth wife. You can call me Great–Grandma.

Immediately, Ashton and Roselynn expressed their displeasure with

murmured complaints. “His twenty–eighth wife? He’s quite elderly. Is he able

to have sex with his wife?”

“Exactly! I don’t appear older than her. Yet she’s aspiring to be our

Great–Grandma? Is she kidding?”

Boom!

The mountain shook tremendously when Salem Summerton suddenly

slammed his cane.

“Ah!” Taken by surprise, Julian collapsed to the ground.

“Absurd! Unfaithful offspring! Now, get on your knees! I’m going to kill you all if

you talk rudely again!” Salem gave a fierce yell.

Although Julian had no fear of dying, he was terrified that Salem would

murder Ashton and Roselynn. In a moment, he dropped to his knees and

said, “Great–Grandpa, my wife and sister are used to speaking their minds.

Please pardon them.

“Humph, would you like us to pardon them? Then why aren’t they pleading for

forgiveness on their knees?” Salem’s twenty–eighth wife sneered in response.

Ashton gritted her teeth and refused to kneel.

“We only get down on our knees before our parents,” Roselynn said icily, “We

won’t bow down and ask for forgiveness!”

Though utterly powerless, Julian was unable to convince Roselynn either.

Roselynn’s character was the reason he fell in love with her. When he saw

Salem’s hostile gaze, he quickly stood up, stood in front of Roselynn, and

shouted, “Great–Grandpa, I’ll get down on my knees if you wish for that! If you

want to kill someone, kill me! Leave my wife alone.”

Salem replied, “You do have some of the Summerton family’s spirit.” At the

same time, the malicious glare in his eyes began to fade. “Are you not

terrified of dying?”

“Who isn’t afraid of death?”

“Of course, it’s good to be alive, but if the person I love is not living, then I don’t

want to live either,” Julian calmly retorted, “You’ll have to find someone else if Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

He finally moved Salem. The serious man smirked and said, “I didn’t expect

our Summerton family to give birth to such a romantic and loyal person!”

“Due to your assertive nature, even though you’re not my direct descendant, I

will not linger on these insignificant issues. Tell me, then, what you need from

me.”

“Great–Grandpa, none of the members of my Summerton family have been

spared!” Julian shouted. He had no time to figure out the relationship

between Salem and himself. He decided to address Salem as his

great–grandpa, given the introduction given by Salem’s wife. After all, Salem
