After Julian inherited the Summerton family, he discovered many hidden

documents in his father’s study, all related to the reclusive branch of the

Summerton family. They had retreated to the Ancient Woods, a vast labyrinth

where anyone without a map would undoubtedly get lost.

Because the forest was outside signal coverage, they had lost contact with

the outside world, unaware that Emmanuel and Mackenzie had already

returned. The last information they had was that the Quillen family had been

annihilated, Terence was missing, and powerful forces were hunting them.

Weak and desperate, they sought refuge and revenge through the hidden

Summerton family.

After all, they were still part of the Summerton bloodline, and whether for

“Julian, we should keep moving,” Roselynn urged. She had a bad feeling.

Knowing there were forces out to kill them, resting here in such a dangerous

place was like waiting for death.

“Alright, let’s keep going,” Julian agreed, his survival instincts kicking in as he quickened his pace deeper into the forest.

After the trio had left, a well–dressed young man whispered, “Wyatt, you were

careless. You almost got us spotted!”

“I’m sorry, Sir,” Wyatt apologized immediately. “But why don’t we just capture

those three and force them to reveal the hidden Summerton family’s

location? Why bother following them in secret?”

Before the young man could answer, a middle–aged man nearby, Hank

Sheridan, chuckled and tapped his head. “This is why you’ll never match Sir,

Wyatt, feeling a bit offended, asked, “And you understand Sir’s reasoning?”

“I know a little more than you,” Hank replied smugly. “First, Mr. Gwain is

renowned as one of the strongest men in the world–Lannister of the South,

Wolf Warrior of the North. How could someone like him threaten or harm

women? It would ruin his reputation. Second, even if we did capture them,

what if they led us in circles around the forest? We’d waste our time and

energy.”

Wyatt glanced at the young man, curious to see if Hank was correct.

The well–dressed man smirked, his pride evident. “Hank got two points right

but one wrong.”

“One?” Hank was puzzled. He had only made two points.

Wyatt was equally confused.

The young man snorted dismissively. “There is no such thing as ‘Lannister of

the South, Wolf Warrior of the North‘ or ‘one of the strongest men in the world.’

There is only one strongest, and that is me, Gwain Lannister!”

Hank finally understood, and Wyatt silently sighed at Gwain’s overwhelming

arrogance. However, having faced Emmanuel in battle, Wyatt had to admit

that if Emmanuel truly was the Wolf Warrior, he had indeed been weaker than

Gwain.

“Let’s move,” Gwain suddenly leaped forward, disappearing into the forest like

a gust of wind.

Hank and Wyatt scrambled to keep up with him.
