Crashing the Banquet

Emmanuel stood with his back to Jacob.

Milani caught a glimpse of Emmanuel’s profile, and a shiver coursed through

her. It was a sensation she had never felt before while facing him.

She sensed that her brother was on the brink of trouble.

Jacob, however, could only see Emmanuel’s back as he sneered, “Everyone in

Yeringham is aware of what’s happening. The Verkade family has taken over

the Quillen family! You and your wife have been oblivious for far too long. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

With only an old man left, how can he keep things together? The Verkade

family has sent people to take down the Quillens, and with some clever

tactics, they’ve seized all the assets belonging to the Quillens!”

Emmanuel let out a disdainful smile. It seemed this fool had only heard the

surface stories and was completely clueless.

Even acknowledging him already gave him more credit than he deserved.

Crashing the Banquet

“Emmanuel, isn’t your wife gone as well? I heard that all the key members

the Quillen family are dead!”

Jacob remained unaware of the danger as he foolishly moved to

Emmanuel’s side. With a hand resting on his shoulder, his grin became

increasingly sleazy.

“Since your wife is gone, how about marrying my sister? You can have her f‹

just 30 thousand. What do you think?”

He was desperate for money!

Getting married wasn’t something he was in a rush for. Instead, he had faller

into drug addiction, and without money, the cravings were unbearable.

He had lost all sense of boundaries. After depleting his family’s wealth, he

was determined to extract whatever he could from his sister.

Get lost!”

Emmanuel didn’t even look at him and replied coldly.

“Is it too much? Even though she has been with a few others, my sister is still

decent looking. She’s worth it! How about 200,000? You can do whatever you

want with her-*

“Get lost!” Emmanuel finally turned to face him and coldly shouted.

What followed was astonishing!

He hadn’t even moved, yet Jacob was sent flying backward.

Bam!

Jacob crashed violently into the wall, leaving a horrifying dent. His eyes

glazed over as he fell to the ground, blood oozing from his mouth onto the hallway.

“Ah!”

“A beast!®

They were unaware of the power behind a double–S class warrior’s gaze.

With just a single look and a strong aura, he could unleash tremendous force,

sending an ordinary person flying!

Milani pressed herself against the wall, staring wide–eyed at Emmanuel. Is

this really the same man who was a gynecologist making 80,000 a year just

Emmanuel cast her an indifferent glance before walking directly into the

banquet hal

“T–Thank you!” She expressed her gratitude, mistakenly thinking that he was

helping her.

He recognized her delusion but noticed a subtle change in her. Finally, he

turned away and explained, “Just be yourself. Don’t judge others based on

their appearance. Also, don’t let money compromise your values.”

After saying that, he strode straight into the banquet hall.

Moments later, several bodyguards closed in around Emmanuel.

“Sir, you have a propensity for violence. You’re not welcome here, so please

leave! The lead bodyguard wore an arrogant expression, clearly someone of

considerable skill.

This was a banquet hosted by the Nuthana Chamber of Commerce, and the

guards were armed.

Emmanuel, however, smiled coldly and asked, “Oh? Who saw me use violence?

The security guards turned to the people at the entrance, but everyone

shook their heads.

He didn’t even lay a finger on anyone. How could anyone have seen him use

violence?

At that moment, applause echoed from the upper level of the banquet hall.

Emmanuel turned his gaze upward and saw a familiar face. Jaxton Oatley!

“You finally showed up! Brilliant! You truly had the nerve to crash this banquet

on your own?”

Jaxton’s applause captured the attention of everyone present, and his words

ignited even more curiosity among the crowd.

Who is this imposing figure radiating such authority?

He exuded a cool yet incredibly charming aura, particularly appealing to the

young ladies.

“Any issue with that?” Emmanuel flashed a faint smile and asked, “Do you know more than Jacob? Or do you also believe it’s risky for me to be here?”

Jacob?

Jaxton didn’t know Jacob. After thinking for a moment, he realized he was

referring to the useless fool at the entrance and smirked. “Are you seriously

grouping me with that sort of trash? Is this your way of insulting me?”
