The sound of Emmanuel’s voice echoed once again.

But Rhett didn’t hear any response from either Quintus or Xan. It was glaringly

obvious that they were completely incapable of exerting any control over the

base’s room. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“What about the northern base?” Rhett asked.

No sooner had he finished speaking, a gentle voice unexpectedly resonated

from the line of northern isles. “Sorry to make you worry! I’ll handle the

northern base!”

“Xarri! Is that you?” Rhett immediately exclaimed, his voice trembling with excitement. “I know that you are bound to show up!”

Amidst the noise on Xarri’s end, which clearly indicated he was still sparring

with Night Fox, he managed to speak to them, “Alright, now is not the time for

catching up. Open the dock at six o’clock in the evening, and we’ll regroup on the ship to talk further!”

The Final Duel

After that, the line went silent.

Inside the room within the northern base, Night Fox, feeling deeply insulted,”

sneered as he said, “So you’re the one they call Xarri, right?”

In reality, Xarri had barely stepped into the room when the voices of

Emmanuel and Rhett reached his ears. Seizing the opportunity, he

seamlessly integrated himself into their conversation, his timing so precise it

seemed almost intentional.

Night Fox unleashed a rapid series of three precise strikes, each more forceful

than the last, finally driving him off the communication device with a

calculated blend of skill and power.

Then, he shattered the communication device with a brutal strike. His teeth

clenched as he declared, “Since you’ve made it clear that you don’t want any

reinforcements, there’s no need for this thing to remain, is there?”

Xarri faintly smiled and nodded in agreement.

“Your smile really pisses me off! What should I do? Rip you to shreds?”

Night Fox’s entire aura erupted, cloaking him in a terrifying presence. His

killing intent was so intense that it almost seemed to take physical form.

Xarri remained unmoved as he said, “You won’t be able to rip me to shreds.

h

Regardless of what happens, I’ll see my mission through to the end!”

“D*mn you!”

Utterly enraged by the man’s calm demeanor, Night Fox unleashed a

masterful move of Thousands of Cuts, aiming to tear the man before him to

shreds.

To his utter shock, Xarri managed to dodge all the attacks with barely minor

scratches, patiently waiting for Night Fox to exhaust his moves before

countering with the same move!

“How can this be?” Night Fox was shocked. Because of the proximity, the

damage was much greater than that on Xarri.

The Final Duel

Several deep gashes marred his chest, blood profusely pouring from the

wounds without end.

“I got it. Big Dipper!”

Night Fox took a moment to realize that this was his ancestral move–one

that others could not have learned. It could only be the Big Dipper from the

Lannister family, turned back against him using his own methods!

Xarri merely smiled in silence. An enigmatic man would never disclose his

secrets to his adversary.

A failure resulting from inflated rhetoric and chaotic speech would never

befall him!

Night Fox, resorting to a desperate fighting style, exchanged several more

moves with Xarri. But upon realizing that the man before him had no flaws in

his moves, he conceded defeat without further resistance.

With a resigned sigh, he waved a hand dismissively and said, “Forget it, I’m

done fighting you! If you want to press that button, go ahead. Press it and

destroy whatever you want!” His tone was filled with frustration as if

conceding to the inevitable while masking his underlying anger.

He thought, After all, the Queen of the Dark Night Islands is already dead. Why

should I continue to risk my life for Airspace Group? Heh, that’s out of the

question!

But Xarri coldly responded, “I might show mercy to others if they surrender,

but you are the exception. There’s no chance I’ll ever accept it!”

Night Fox had committed egregious acts against Alliance, including the

deaths of numerous members and the public humiliation of his sister, Quell. If

Xarri were to let him escape unscathed, how could he possibly explain to

everyone? And how would he ever justify it to Quell?

Such leniency would not only undermine his credibility and authority in the

eyes of Alliance but also leave him unable to justify his actions to those who

looked to him for leadership and justice.

His high regard within the Black Wolf Team and Dark Night Islands was due to

his keen sense of discretion and ability to command respect through his

actions.

Those who deserve to live will certainly be spared! And those who must die

will inevitably meet their end!

“D*mn it, you’re forcing me to go all out with you. Don’t think I’m out of

options!” Night Fox growled, all the while subtly retreating.

The room was equipped with intricate mechanisms. While using them alone

might not trouble a top–tier expert like Xarri, combining them with his own

surprise attacks significantly increased the likelihood of success.

“Xarri, there can only be one leader of Night Wolf. You should just-”

Whoosh!

Before Night Fox could complete his sentence, Xarri had already streaked

past him in a blur–like motion.

Night Fox finally caught sight of it that Xarri was actually wielding a sword!

The Final Duel

As his eyes widened in disbelief, a storm of indignation raged within him. He

thought, How utterly underhanded! You have never employed that sword

before. This deceitful tactic remains hidden until now.

“Ah-” Night Wolf let out a blood–curdling scream as one of his arms was

cleaved off, severed in a single blow.

“Quell may not have perfectly demonstrated the swordsmanship of the

Lannister family, but now I’ll show you!”

With a subtle smile at the corner of his mouth, Xarri executed a set of

exquisite and graceful swordsmanship. Moments later, Night Fox collapsed to

his knees, his face turned upward, and his gaze fixed in a lifeless stare.

Splat!

In the next instant, the blood gushed from his body like a burst water pipe.
