Love at the 1863
“It’s absolutely terrifying!”
“Go any further, and you’ll die!”
The fighters, clearly shaken by what they had witnessed, still trembled with
fear. Anyone would be fearful after watching a living, breathing person vanish
entirely, with no remains, simply for being near that laboratory.
Alas, the next moment, these Alliance soldiers were struck dead with a single
punch.
Lonny charged from the other side, glaring menacingly at Mackenzie.
Seeing that, Mackenzie ignored the pain in her stomach and gritted her teeth
as she moved toward Lab 19. The constant energy leakage caused her
clothes to start burning.
Lonny, unable to withstand the heat, was forced to retreat, giving Mackenzie
the chance to quickly enter the lab. Shockingly, she passed through the

energy wall and came out unscathed. Once inside, she swiftly discarded her
burning clothes. Now, she was in nothing but her birthday suit.
Once in the lab, she felt no discomfort; in fact, the pain in her stomach began
to subside. A magical warmth enveloped her body, making her feel as if she
were a wanderer returning to a spring–like homeland after years in a cold
and desolate place.
Mackenzie had a good idea of the principle behind it.
Previously, Freya had transferred some of the Heart of the Sun’s energy,
stored by Claudette, to her. Being the only bloodline of the Saintess, her body
could perfectly integrate with the Heart of the Sun’s power. Conversely, many
others would have exploded from the energy’s impact.
The Airspace Group had experimented on countless individuals, with almost
none able to withstand this energy. Freya’s current status was due to her
unique physique. The lab was filled with the Heart of the Sun’s energy, and
anyone who couldn’t handle it would be burned to ashes.

Mackenzie carefully observed and found several special conduits in the lab.
One led to the energy gate she had just passed, allowing only those who
could endure the Heart of the Sun’s energy to proceed. Another led to a large
room on the sixth floor, where Freya was likely using it to absorb energy and
fight Emmanuel.
Mackenzie, not a fighter herself and lacking knowledge of using stored
energy, used her intelligence to analyze that the convergence point of these
conduits was probably where the Heart of the Sun was stored.
“Found it!” she exclaimed with surprise. Scarlet hadn’t deceived her; indeed,
the Yang Heart of the Sun had been in the Airspace Group’s possession all
along.
They had brought Claudette here to turn her into an energy vessel, those evil
b*stards!
For decades, they had killed countless test subjects to research this
inhumane technology and gain power to wage wars. She couldn’t let them
succeed. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Meanwhile, the battle on the sixth floor continued. Though Freya had the
upper hand, she still couldn’t kill Emmanuel.
“The Northern Region War God is truly formidable!” she remarked, genuinely
impressed. In terms of combat ability and talent, she couldn’t compare to
this man. If Emmanuel hadn’t been injured from her enchantment, the
outcome would have been uncertain.
th
“Unfortunately, you’ll eventually die at my hands! And if you don’t defeat me,
how will you get into the control room behind me?” Freya taunted Emmanuel,
pointing to the secret chamber door behind her.
Emmanuel hesitated for a moment.
“You see that? The controls for the dock and the airport are right there! The
other four bases are just valve controls for this door. It’s not necessary to press the button to open the valve; damaging the valve would have the same effect! But if you don’t press the main control button on the central
island, the dock won’t open. Understand? Haha…”
The Heart of the Sun
The Queen’s words certainly piqued Emmanuel’s interest. If he had known this
information earlier, it would have been useful for the other four bases. Now, it
was a bit late. He hoped that the commanders of those bases would find a
way to destroy the valve switches while he went in and pressed the central
button. But how could he get inside?
Emmanuel knew well that without defeating Freya, infiltrating the lab would
be futile. He needed to wait until the valves at the four bases were destroyed
and the button was pressed to open the dock doors.
