Lord Death Is Now Back Home by Chris

Chapter 1208: The Stone Gate Restriction

Chapter 1208: The Stone Gate Restriction

With a loud crash, Chris Shelby's sword pierced through Tahoe Abernathy's abdomen. Tahoe's eyes widened as he stared at Chris, unable to control the blood that spurted from his mouth. Then, he collapsed to the ground.

After killing Tahoe, Chris continued to lead his men forward. Soon, they discovered a passage ahead. The passage was pitch black and extremely narrow, allowing only one person to pass through at a time. Tiger curiously asked, "Boss, is this passage leading to Victor Yellowbird's tomb?"

Chris thought for a moment and nodded, "Very likely. Let's go!"

Chris and his team took out their flashlights and entered the passage. Chris was on edge, fearing another ambush. Though he was not afraid, the narrow passage made it difficult to maneuver. If Peterson Abernathy had set more traps, the royal guards would suffer heavy losses.

Fortunately, they passed through without incident. Emerging from the passage, they found themselves in a large cave. The cave walls were embedded with countless fist-sized luminous pearls, illuminating the cave as bright as day.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Even Chris, who had seen much in his life, couldn't help but be amazed. These luminous pearls were incredibly valuable outside, and here there were hundreds of them! Moreover, Chris noticed that the cave was not naturally formed but excavated by human hands. Digging out such a large cave underground was terrifying!

Tiger asked in confusion, "Boss, wasn't Victor Yellowbird just a martial artist? How did he have the resources to build such a massive tomb?"

Chris frowned and said, "According to the old village chief, this place wasn't built by Victor Yellowbird. It was an ancient tomb that Victor discovered and hid himself in."

"Everyone be careful. I have a feeling this underground journey won't be simple. To get the Dragon Emblem fragment, we'll need to put in some effort."

"Yes!" Tiger replied, his heart heavy with caution. He knew how formidable Chris Shelby was. If even Chris said so, the tomb must be extremely dangerous. "Look!" A royal guard shouted, pointing ahead. Chris looked over and saw a stone gate not far away. Peterson Abernathy and Devil's Frown were there. Peterson squinted at Chris and said, "Chris Shelby, despite all my obstacles, you still made it here!"

Peterson's face darkened as he spoke. Chris's presence meant that all the men Peterson had set up for ambushes had been killed. Peterson had deployed three thousand Abernathy family members for this mission, bringing only ten thousand in total. Losing three thousand was a significant blow.

Chris glanced at Peterson with disdain and said, "Mr. Abernathy, long time no see! I thought you had already entered the tomb. Didn't expect you to still be here!"

Peterson pointed at the stone gate and said calmly, "Chris Shelby, if you can enter, go ahead."

Chris walked over and examined the gate closely. He noticed a mechanism on its surface.

Tiger approached and curiously asked, "What's this?"

"Don't touch it!" Chris shouted angrily. Tiger immediately withdrew his hand.

Chris's face was serious as he explained, "If I'm not mistaken, this is an ancient formation called a restriction."

"A restriction?" Everyone looked at Chris.

Chris explained solemnly, "In ancient

times, martial arts were far more advanced than they are now.

Besides martial arts, various schools of thought flourished. Formations were one of them, and restrictions

were a very special type of formation. Unfortunately, many ancient techniques have Been lost

over the millennia."

Peterson asked in confusion, "Isn't this Victor Yellowbird's tomb? How is it related to ancient times?"

Chris looked at Peterson and said calmly, "This isn't Victor Yellowbird's tomb. It existed long before him and dates back to ancient times. This tomb is far from simple." Peterson sneered and said, "Chris Shelby, stop trying to scare us with tales of ancient times! It's nonsense!"

He then ordered an Abernathy family member to check the stone gate. The man drew his sword and approached the gate.

Seeing this, Chris didn't stop him. If Peterson didn't believe him, he would let him face the consequences.

The Abernathy family member

swung his sword at the gate with a

loud shout. A ripple of invisible force emanated from the gate upon impact, sending the man flying backward. He screamed in agony as

if being eaten alive by thousands of insects before collapsing lifelessly.

Everyone's faces changed dramatically at this sight. The stone gate's power was beyond their expectations. Even a master-level Abernathy family member was killed instantly by merely striking the gate. Peterson's face turned grim. Losing one of his men like this was humiliating.

Chris looked at Peterson with schadenfreude and said, "Mr. Abernathy, do you believe me now?"

Peterson snorted coldly and said to Chris, "Don't gloat too much. If we can't get in, we won't get the Dragon Emblem fragment or anything else."

"We're all in this together now.

According to our previous

agreement, we should cooperate

sincerely to enter this tomb and find

the Dragon Emblem fragment. After

that, we can settle our scores. What do you think?"
