Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 73

Wilbur did not even open his eyes. He placed his hand in front of his neck like a blade.

The fishing line was wrapped around Wilbur’s neck several times.

The lady pulled, and the line tightened.

Somehow, the fishing line was incredibly strong, seemingly laced with some kind of power. It felt like it was able to cut through metal

Yet when Wilbur raised a finger and touched it, the line snapped at once.

The lady stared at Wilbur in shock

Wilbur smiled. “Are you surprised?”

“I have definitely underestimated you. How did you find out? The lady asked coldly.

Wilbur shook his head. “I didn’t know at all. I was just waiting for you. I only knew you were trying to kill me when you made

your move

Π

“So, you knew that someone was trying to kill you?”

“Some idiot wants revenge. He’s had it out for me for a while now, of course I’d know,” Wilbur explained with a shrug.

The lady’s expression darkened. She kicked over her fishing box and took out two curved daggers from it.

The daggers were small but were capable of doing a lot of damage. Anyone stabbed by it would suffer from excessive bleeding at once, possibly causing death.

The lady leaped into the air, pouncing at Wilbur as she slashed the daggers against his chest in a cross–motion.

Wilbur smiled. He raised a hand, weaving through the lady’s arms and aiming a chop at her neck.

The lady was startled. She turned around deftly to aim one dagger at Wilbur’s arms and another at his ribs

Wilbur made a palm strike with his left hand, and the hand holding the dagger to his arm was knocked backward. He tapped the lady’s other hand with his right hand, and the attack on his rib was deflected as well.

All of that happened within the span of three seconds.

The Lady stumbled backward in shock, sensing the enormous power that had countered her attacks as she stared at Wilbur in

disbelief.

“You’re quite the expert.” The lady kept a safe distance, staring coldly at Wilbur

Wilbur smiled, “Didn’t the person who hired you tell you about that?”

“Ha! Don’t get too cocky.”

The lady let out a cry, and an aura formed around her daggers.

A wave of energy began to spread, making its way over.

This lady turned out to be an aura expert as well.

Wilbur shook his head. “You won’t be able to kill me, you know.”

“Ridiculous!” The lady roured, pouncing at Wilbur once again.

This time, she struck out with full force.

Both daggers were lethal with the added aura. Every attack was out to take Wilbur’s life. Each slash through the air was accompanied by a piercing howl, sending a chill down one’s spine.

Wilbur was not scared in the slightest, deflecting the lady’s every attack with his bare palins without stepping back at all.

The lady saw that her attacks were not doing anything and pulled back again as she glowered coldly at Wilbur, Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Wilbur, on the other hand, was a little surprised. “I thought he would just hire some random assassin, but you’re pretty

decent.”

The lady replied coldly, “Is that so? Well, you’re about to see that I’m more than just decent.”

As she spoke, the lady flung the daggers out of her grasp. With the added assistance of the aura, the curved daggers whipped through the air in Wilbur’s direction.

As they flew from her hands, the lady cried out something

“Soulkill Slayer!”

All that could be seen was another curved dagger forming out of thin air in her hands.

That dagger was completely channeled from the aura in her body and carried a terrifying power.
