Chapter 454
Skyler chuckled, and both of them headed to bed.
The next morning, Wilbur and Skyler woke up and went to get Xavi and Bentley to have breakfast together.
However, when they arrived at the cafe, the owner refused to sell anything to them.
Skyler was stunned. "Are you kidding me? We're paying customers, you know?" "I know you've all got good hearts in you, but you messed with Felix Cohen. My cafe's going to be shut down right away if | sell you anything. I'm really sorry," said the owner of the cafe helplessly.
Wilbur shook his head. "Is he really that powerful?" "You're not from around here, so you wouldn't know. Everyone in Twelven Town is terrified of him. He's taken the lives of several people in his mine, but he's perfectly fine. Who would dare to mess with him?" Wilbur did not know what to say, nor did he have an appetite anymore.
Just then, the crazy woman just happened to wander over. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
Wilbur got to work at once, emptying the nearest tray of sandwiches into a paper bag and giving it to the woman. "I'm going to avenge your husband and son real soon." The woman merely took the bag, letting out a chuckle and digging in.
Wilbur turned to leave, heading back to his room to get srest.
Xavi and Bentley were nothing but antsy in their rooms, but there was nothing they could do about it.
Skyler, on the other hand, fell fast asleep.
As noon approached, a ruckus broke out outside.
Wilbur got up to look out of the window.
There were over a hundred men this time, shouting and protesting in front of the inn for the ruthless attacker to surrender himself.
Skyler chuckled, and both of them walked out of the inn.
The group of men shouted at once at the sight of him, "It's him! He beat us up. Arrest him." "Yeah! Punish the attacker as he deserves." "He even broke one guy's leg!" Wilbur looked at the protesting crowd and shouted, "Felix Cohen, con out and stop hiding if you have the guts." Right on cue, Felix emerged from an SUV before walking up to Wilbur. "Did you beat my men up?" "That's right. Don't you think they deserved it?" Wilbur responded coldly.
Felix flew into a fit of rage. "So, | take that as an admission of guilt." "Sure. | beat your men up," Skyler admitted as he chuckled from the side.
Felix was livid. "You heard them! Everyone, they admitted to beating my men up and they're so cocky about it too! The authorities will punish them for this." The shop owners around had hidden themselves far away by then, and all the people who stayed were Felix's men shouting at the top of their lungs.
Just then, a car pulled up and Wyatt emerged with several policemen, walking up to the entrance of the inn and shouting, "What's going on here?" "Sir, please say something here! They beat my men up last night. Almost forty of them are in the hospital right now. One of them is severely injured too. You have to seek justice for them." Wyatt turned to look at Wilbur. "Is that true?" "Absolutely. We beat his men up, but they were the ones who attacked us first," said Wilbur.
Wyatt's expression darkened. "It doesn't matter who attacked first. We're looking at the consequences here! Forty men were hospitalized and one of them was gravely injured. That's a serious offense! Arrest them right now." The police officers behind him walked up to do as they were told. The surrounding shop owners and onlookers could not help but shake their heads, sighing in pity for Wilbur and Skyler.
Yet just then, the crazy woman ran over out of nowhere. She grabbed Felix, locking him in her grip and biting at him in a feral manner as a beast-like growl escaped from her throat.
