Maggie squinted her eyes. “Are you really that kind–hearted?”
Timmothy scoffed, “How can this be considered kind–hearted? Ms. Adam calling harmful acts kind– hearted really baffles me.”
And to tell the truth, his words stirred something in Maggie.
After all, she knew without thinking who was responsible for harming her.

“What’s the condition?” she asked in a calm voice.
Timmothy chuckled. “Cook for me for a month.”
His remark made Maggie laugh in exasperation. “Are you out of your mind? I’m a dying patient, and you want me to cook for you? Aren’t you afraid I might poison you?”
Timmothy furrowed his brow, pondering for a moment, perhaps realising that her frail body might not withstand that kind of suffering. He quickly said, “Alright, then design a suit for me instead.”
Maggie was furious enough to curse. “I’m a jewellery designer, not a fashion designer!”
Mia had studied fashion design, but she couldn’t possibly push her into that firepit, especially not knowing what sort of bizarre tastes Timmothy might have.
Maggie took a deep breath and spoke more gently, “I’ll design a men’s bracelet for you instead.”
Maggie eyed Timmothy, already forming some ideas in her mind.
A daily wear piece, simple, and easier than a brooch.
“Deal,” Timmothy nodded, then quickly added, “I want a unique design.”
“I know,” Maggie responded nonchalantly, then her interest piqued. “What do you plan to do about the Camerons?”
