Chapter 350

When Kehlani arrived, she didn’t seem particularly friendly. She was accompanied by several people, including her bodyguards who trailed closely behind her, as well as two elder members of the Burtons.
Their arrival was imposing, their faces devoid of smiles. Olivia’s heart skipped a beat, sensing a foreboding atmosphere.
With guests arriving, Ronald naturally had to extend a welcome, especially with Kehlani’s mother and uncle also present.
Although the Burtons weren’t particularly prominent, they did possess considerable wealth. In the past, they might not have matched up to the Camerons in terms of influence, but with the decline of the Camerons fortunes, Ronald found himself compelled to take the Burtons more seriously.
“Madam Burton, your visit is indeed a pleasant surprise,” Ronald said with a smile. Madam Burton appeared to be in her fifties, while Kehlani was in her thirties.
By all accounts, according to seniority, he should address Madam Burton as ‘sister,” and Kehlani should refer to him as “Mr. Cameron.”
Maggie stood silently by, observing the scene without a change in expression, quietly playing the role of a pawn. Yet, inwardly, she pondered whether the visit from the Burtons was once again connected to Sierra.
Indeed, the link between the Burtons and Camerons primarily revolved around the relationship between Ivan and Sierra.
Unaware of the situation, when the servant called for Sierra to come downstairs, she remained unmoved.
“Are you all deaf? I’m not feeling well. I’m not going downstairs today!”
The servants exchanged uneasy glances, not daring to speak further.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Madam Burton spoke up. “Our sudden visit today is indeed rather impolite. However, considering that our son–in–law has been Sierra’s teacher for over a decade, I believe it’s necessary for me to demand an explanation from the Camerons.”
Master Cameron furrowed his brow, while Mrs. Cameron interjected, “Demand an explanation? I wonder what explanation you expect from our Camerons?”
“In any case, I would appreciate it if you could first summon Ms. Cameron down here. Let’s have a face–to- face discussion and clarify things!” Madam Burton’s expression was stern, devoid of any hint of warmth, her demeanour akin to that of a stern inquisitor.
Even the Camerons, slow to catch on as they might be, could sense the gravity of the atmosphere at that
moment.
Maggie discreetly scrutinized Kehlani’s expression. She hadn’t spent much time with her during her piano lessons with Ivan, and they hadn’t been married yet at that time. So, Maggie had barely seen her.
However, at this moment, her demeanour was stern, her eyes carrying a hint of weariness, and there was a certain stiffness that one might find in a middle–aged woman.
Maggie silently pondered over what could have happened. Sierra’s abnormal reaction upon her return.

She couldn’t help but entertain a ludicrous possibility that crossed her mind.
“Mr. Cameron, Ms. Sierra said she’s not feeling well,” the servant didn’t finish her sentence, but the implication was clear. However, Ronald frowned in response.
Madam Burton sneered, “Not feeling well? I think she’s just too ashamed to come down and face us!”
Upon hearing this, Olivia couldn’t remain silent any longer. “Madam Burton, that’s a harsh thing to say. What did Sierra do to deserve such a remark? Why would she be too ashamed to face anyone?”
Madam Burton chuckled coldly, “Since Mrs. Cameron is so confident, why not summon your precious daughter down here to confront us? Let’s see if she dares!”
With Madam Burton’s words confirming her suspicions even further, Maggie couldn’t help but seize the opportunity while nobody was paying attention to send a message to Nathael.
Do you know what Sierra has done?
A few seconds later, Nathael replied: What do you mean?”
Maggie replied: ‘I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking you.
Nathael was speechless.
Thinking Maggie wanted to share some gossip, he immediately called Alex to inquire.
Alex hesitated for a moment before deciding to divulge what Draco and his group had done. He hadn’t mentioned it earlier mainly because the actions of Draco’s group were too outrageous. They had directly sent him a bunch of messy videos and photos.
If Alex hadn’t saved the number, he would have almost thought his phone had been infected with a virus, bombarded by some rubbish advertisements.
The sight of those photos was enough to cause him distress. If anyone dared to present such things to Nathael, he felt he wouldn’t need to live anymore.
Now that Nathael asked about it, he summarised the situation and explained it to him.
Nathael’s expression remained unchanged, merely satisfying Maggie’s curiosity. He replied with a message: “Sierra and Ivan slept together and were caught in the act by Kehlani.
Maggie couldn’t help but respond with a string of exclamation marks to Nathael’s message: ‘You’re kidding!!!!
Such a mind–blown!
So, Sierra really did sleep with Ivan.
Although Ivan hadn’t taught them for long, Maggie had never been fond of him, not for any specific reason, but rather due to his deliberate familiarity and ambiguity with his students.
If I said he was taking advantage of the students, it didn’t quite seem to be the case.
But if I said he wasn’t taking advantage of them, he seemed to constantly push the boundaries, teetering on the edge of crossing the line.

Ivan had a talent for deliberately creating subtle ambiguity, causing young girls to flutter with excitement, feeling that this teacher was considerate and gentle.
In reality, Maggie would have preferred a strict and aloof teacher like Kevin. Learning piano should be about learning piano, without the need for flirtation disguised under the guise of piano lessons.
But unfortunately, Ivan was exceptionally skilled at it.
“Summon her down here and tell her that if she doesn’t come down today, she can forget about receiving a single cent from this family in the future!” Ronald’s expression darkened. Without needing to guess, he knew that with the Burtons‘ current attitude, Sierra must have caused trouble again.
When the Camerons were thriving, her stirring up trouble might have been tolerable. But now, with the family in dire straits, he didn’t expect her to contribute much, just to keep out of trouble.
Yet even such a simple task, she couldn’t accomplish. Ronald couldn’t help but feel infuriated.
With this threat from Ronald, Sierra reluctantly showed up, not for any other reason, but because even though the Pierces were wealthy, it was still a family with a thin foundation compared to the Camerons, being a family rooted in the arts.
Although Sierra was aware that the family was currently in a difficult situation, she didn’t have a concrete understanding of it. She only knew that during the period when Master Cameron had cut off her living expenses, life had been tough.
However, as soon as she reached the stairs and saw the Burtons‘ member seated on the sofa downstairs, her face immediately paled, and she turned around, intending to retreat.
Previously, the servant had only mentioned that visitors had arrived, so she hadn’t expected Kehlani to actually be among them!
“Stop right there! Where do you think you’re going? Get down here now!” Ronald spotted her immediately and erupted in anger.
Watching this scene, Maggie couldn’t help but chuckle.
Who would have thought that Ronald, who used to be the epitome of gentleness and hypocrisy, would now be capable of such outbursts of rage and shouting?
Indeed, luxury and comfort breed complacency. In times of distress, even those who were originally well- mannered might display a hint of irritability, let alone someone like Ronald, who was always putting on
airs.
Sierra’s footsteps halted, her eyes reddening. After a moment of hesitation, knowing she couldn’t avoid it, she reluctantly made her way down the stairs.
